In 1995 Gerard may've thought he was going to keep Julia & Barnabas from escaping future time when the Ghost of Hallie provided them with a door into the Stairway through time back to 1970. Amazing that Collinwood in 1970 Parallel time was destroyed by a fire. In 1970 real time Quentin witnessed it was the room fiiled with smoke. We know the young girl Quentin was referring to calling out to Barnabas repeatedly was Roxanne.
I'm confused by this episode. Because I've never watched the show, I'm at a loss as to what is going on. However, as this is a "special" soap opera, anything can happen! I shall persevere in watching this, as it is quite engrossing! ~Janet in Canada
These are really just summaries of the stories. Not full episodes. I definitely suggest seeking out the full episodes. I have the entire series on DVD. But it's also available on Amazon prime if you have their streaming service
Love how Quentin says they'll never see Barnabas and Julia again, then the next minute the two of them walk through the door and announce their return. Barnabas and Julia are going to have a heck of a time convincing everyone about the disaster that's about to fall upon the house. Even Quentin was doubtful.
After the seance, the ghost of Gerard killed Prof. Stokes. Gerard tries to make Julia (under his spell) kill herself but Barnabas orders her to drop the knife. Then, the ghost of Carrie (of 1840) led both Barnabas & Julia back to their own time. Even though both Barnabas & Julia returned back from the future 1995 to their own time, they warned both Elizabeth & Quetin that they all had better get prepared for disaster at Collingwood.
Just because they wrote off Don Briscoe doesn't mean Denise Nickerson had to leave the show as well. Denise would've been great in the 1995 storyline(as a ghost along with David), in the return to 1970 and 1840. When they replaced her with Kathy Cody that didn't make any sense to me.
@@marilynwillett804 Yes she was. I looked up her on Google earlier this month after it was brought to my attention that she had passed away on July 10, 2019 at age 62. After she left Dark Shadows in 1970 after the parallel time storyline she was on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in 1971. I wasn't aware that she guest starred on a episode of The Brady Bunch. I was very saddened by her passing. 62 is too young but she had health issues. R.I.P. Denise.
Ok one ☝🏽 more thing; Am I missing something: Is it ever explained WHY Quinton was an angry mute ghost in for real, original DS timeline ❓ B. Why he never aged & continued to live all the way through to the for real times at Collinwood? (I assume it has to do with those annoying Roger Davis character paintings🖼️ ). C. Thus, No one’s scared that he’s a ghost man from the 1890s who became human? 🤷🏽♀️ Former wearwolfe, I guess. Haha
The story they tell the family is that Quentin is a normal human and an ancestor of the 1897 Quentin.Only Barnabas, Julia and Angelique know the real story.
6:06 the weirdest, most grotesque, less than effeminate 😱 🙀 screams ever!!! 😅😂😂😂 She remains consistent throughout this entire series with that trait. It’s happened tons of times. But the other most memorable man-scream is when that woman clairvoyant pass through character came possessed to the top of the stairs, And falls down them! [due to mute, ghost, zombie like Quentin ~ prior to his ever speaking 🗣️ a word] 🤣🤣👻🙀🙀🤣🤣 Her voice is terrifying 😆 Lol Not the typical feminine bi mbo “scream queen” at all Haha!💄 💄👻 #❤thatDS 📺
Yes! i found these storylines at last! Keep them coming! I can continue my darkly engrossing guilty pleasures for a few more weeks!! THANK YOU!!
WOW! from parallel tonight and back to our universe two 1995, then back to 1970, what a wild adventure!!!
It was crazy - and fast!

Great explanation of the events. Thank you, Bruce.

Ok it's time for me to rewatch Dark Shadows again, it's been a few weeks😅

8:52 from 1970 Parallel Time AND 1995 back to 1970
AMAZING !
And thus begins the most painfully long storyline ...
I realize that the show was on a budget but they should have had Nancy Barrett's voice emanating from Grayson Hall.
I didn't think that a voice that was just a little bit higher than Grayson was close to Nancy's!
@@darkshadowsfansunite8140 Yeah, and it might have been done in such a way as to make the scene eerie.
Agreed 😊
I turned my sound down because I thought she'd scream one of her unGodly ''screams''.
Julia as Carolyn was almost comical 😂
Hallie Stokes makes me miss Amy Jennings.
Isn't that the truth!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@bruce8808 I couldn't stand Kathy Cody, Denise was a good actress for a kid.
