- While working to save Vicki in 1796, Barnabas has the opportunity to convince Nathan Forbes to confess that Nathan lied on the stand. Can Barnabas get Peter Bradford out of jail? Can Barnabas save Vicki's life when she goes to the gallows?
Nathan tries to use his charms on his wife, Millicent, and tries to get her to destroy Barnabas.
I bet Joel Crothers had a blast playing this character after playing wholesome Joe.

We watched DS together when I was in school. Two happy years until she went to work full-time and I went to High School and was out of the house longer during weekdays due to distance from home.
I want to warn Barnabas about Forbes. I was thinking, "Look out, Barnabas! He's got a crossbow!" But Barnabas used his vampire powers to enter the room without being seen! That Nathan Forbes character is evil, while Joe was so good. The actor must have enjoyed the change in characters! Nancy Barret does dumb blonde very well! This video is very engrossing! The crossbow wasn't wood or silver so barnabas was in no danger at all.
Can't kill Barnabas when he's already dead
I always thought this is what Barnabas should have done during the original 1795 storyline.....bite Nathan and force him to recant his testimony against Vicki.
Of course it would still have had the same result....even without Forbes' perjury, the authorities still had Abigail and Natalie's testimony to tie in Vicki with the witchcraft (though they at least honestly believed she was guilty, Forbes knew damn well she was innocent).
Nancy Barret : her acting is great.
She is SOOOOOO good.

I'm remembering a whole different senario.
What I recall is, Nathan shoots the crossbow at Barnabas when he opened the door to the room where Nathan was waiting on him.
Barnabas wasn't killed of course, and he kills Nathan. I don't remember this jail scene etc
That happened earlier on the show when Vicki went back to 1795 the first time. This was when she disappeared into the past to be with Peter and Barnabas had to go back and change history so he could save her.

I swear Angelique is almost a carbon copy of She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed herself, Ayesha. Whatever Ayesha wanted, she got no matter the consequences she did to others; Angelique is the same. Both have fire as the same weakness. Do a side-by-side comparison of Lara Parker and Ursula Andress (who portrayed Ayesha in Hammer’s version of She in 1965 [the year before Dark Shadows started] alongside Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee) from the 1960s when they were younger and they almost look exactly the same
Ayesha was not a witch.
She was pure in her love .
She was obeyed as a godess , cruel maybe , but never evil or stupid.
I grew to really dislike Nathan Forbes at the end of the 1795 storyline. Really liked the showdown between him and Barnabas at The Eagle.
It's nice to have Angelique back in the story.

The last time Vicky went to the past Miss Wick went to the future in her place. What happened to Miss Wick all that time in the future? That would have been interesting. She must have been a witch or accused of it since in the original episodes she wound up hanging while Vicky went back to the future.
Forbes should have written I wrote what I believed to be the truth I did not lie to the court. He should have asked a woman what to say. lol

They seemly has changed the episodes as to a little extent and also changed the story lines. I've thought that Roger Collins has told Lt Forbes about Barnabas been a vampire, not Ben Stokes. Not unless since Barnabas has return to the year 1795, then the story lines has changed. Of course there might be more added changes to the story lines. And that is that Barnabas might back off as from killing Lt Nathan Forbes, but instead Barnabas might take him to his (Barnabas Collins that is) jail cell.

It wasn't Forbes fault just because he was a hot ole lieutenant he didn't know just like the rest of the innocent in Collinwood he just didn't know how to take it to God if all he had was a,cross it would have stopped him if he would have started speaking scriptures in that Bible Barnabas would have had to flee out of that room quicker than lightning would strike if he didn't have a cross he needed a giant Cross when Barnabas open that door that old bow and arrow was what they thought they were going to use back then wrong answer🙏🙏🙏🙏 poor ben they played ben so dumb but he was so smart he could have helped forbes all Forbes had to do was leave collinsport and head for Bangor because while he was in Bangor truly something else was going to happen bad to stop the plans anyway that's how they do it.🤷♂️
You actually feel bad for Forbes? I don't. He deliberately lied against Vicki on the stand, told Naomi the truth about Barnabas (or at least what he thought to be the truth), he sent Millicent to the tower room knowing something would happen to her, plotted to have Daniel killed.
It's no wonder Ben wanted to kill Forbes himself (at least when the 1795 originally played out). Forbes deserved every bit of comeuppance coming his way.
