Craig Engels and Craig Nowak hit a tough set of intervals: 2 sets of (1200m, 1000m, 800m) followed by a 600m cutdown, two weeks before the USA Olympic Trials. Engels wanted to title this video "Craig squared" but we overruled. Thank you Craig squared for the tour of Nike HQ after the workout.

Sweat elite > milesplit & flotrack
I second this
Milesplit and flotrack suck so bad, it’s like they get anybody in their mid 40s who have a strava account to commentate and cover races
Fax
Wesfly Alphas only
New generation > sweat elite
No annoying music, no annoying cuts, just pure running and some training chat. Absolutely loving these videos.
The background audio is the sound of shoes hitting track, love it.
When your track is gorgeous and doesn't have an american football field ugging it up.
Or a soccer field
I bet that track is fun to clean every 5 seconds in the fall
Way to put a sour taste on a beautiful track👏
@@jakerichardson3322 it is beautiful though. Agreed haha
Just deploy a few roomba
I can’t think of a more appropriate use of a lawn vac.
At least it isn't buried under snow for four months like it would be in New England 😂
Saying Michael Johnson instead of Michael Jordan is so on brand
This content is like gold dust. Cannot thank you enough. This is what every aspiring runner wants to watch.
Why they change shoes in between?
@@dexxxxxxxx its kind of a preference type of thing, different shoes for different paces
Probably the most beautiful track in the world.... who would not love to do at least one track workout in his/her life there???
I’m a 5 minute walk from there, i workout there all the time
Yes, wow, was blown away by that track 😮
THIS TRACK IS INSANE! TREES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACK. I WANNA RUN HERE!!!!
Good workout. Think of how many times Galen Rupp must have circled this track.
Poor Craig got boxed in at trials 😓
What a fantastic location for a running track ! I've seen it on TV and UA-cam and even though I gave up track running and track work outs long ago, I would dearly love to run on this track.
These videos are amazing, thanks for capturing these moments!
Craig Squared putting in fantastic work. Good luck fellas. Kill it at trials!
That track is beautiful.
These videos are so entertaining. Seriously can't get enough. Keep up the good work.
Did you see the Burrito Stand?
Too soon
😂😂
Not run for decades on a track but used to run a lot when I was younger and my one thought... It must be really odd running with trees in the middle of the track...
Brazier workout please🙏🏻 I know his workouts would be mind bending
I’m confused on why the coach seemed so rigged/ looked like he was trying to hide something but I mean it’s just speed work there’s nothing really special or in-depth about it. Great footage as always. Love the content.
Eh you get a camera around and people love to push it harder, show out a bit. All he wants is the best for his athletes.
I think I cried watching this knowing he didn’t make the Olympic team.
Most likely he wouldn't have won a medal in the olympics but its sad not to see him
Efficiency of movement at the highest level. Metronome-ish....
Why is everyone going the wrong direction?
Interesting that Seb Coe has a building named after him on the Nike campus. Pretty sure he was running in Diadora shoes toward the end of his career.
What a beautiful place!!!
Gee I havent seen a workout w these distance intervals since 1982.
I am not an Olympian
It was a very rainy day
Ran 2 X (mile, 1320, 1100yds, 880yd)
1. 4:23.6/3:15/2:41/2:09
2. 4:28/3:18/2:46/2:08
It was my first track workout.
Rainy n windy
No one to push but me
No coach
Graduated UP pilot 1976
Was always curious what times this workout would ve indicative of....but not many races for post college in those days
Beautiful track. Love it 😍
did you put a microphone on their spikes?
terrific, inspiring, Craig and Craig hi fives
That is such a beautiful track!
¡Excelentes series y lugar para hacerlas está super genial!😀
Been checking everyday for a new vid!
Beautiful video, beautiful place to enjoy running to the fullest 😍
Thanks for posthing this unlike stupid flotrack
it is a blessing to be able to run and a bonu when the track be like this ❤
oh i wish so much to have a track in the woods like that here in my sorroundings
Oh boy I found my new favorite channel
Thanks for backstage pass!
A great video and insight. Craig Engels & Craig Nowak were awesome. Some really great sessions. Pity Coach Pete had nothing to really offer.
Seeing you both run through Nike HQ, they aren’t paying you enough mate!
The surrounding is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL😍😃
This track is the coolest thing i've veer seen
Pretty dope insight
This is an absolutely lovely track! Compare these conditions with those in which most of the elite Kenian runners are training... Nevertheless, it is not the track conditions that only matters... In any case, this workout is quite excruciating... I was doing something like this, albeit at a slower pace, when in the athletics school in the former Soviet Union, I know what I am talking about... Many thanks for the video, well done!
Craig looked gassed, but they both did really...don’t really see any tell tale signs of him lacking fitness or speed...just a tough race to run, sad he didn’t make the Olympic team, but I bet it fuels him for the next one!
Yeah it was really sad. I think he got boxed in too far behind and he just couldn’t pick it up fast enough. As of now at least, he might still be on because cole hocker doesn’t have the Olympic standard.
How much recovery between the repeat and the series?
Save nature besides Track Good thank

Can we have one with Sugaru Osako?
loving the content a great insight into elite runners
Get a little question: did they run as reverse-clock wise?
Awesome!
what a location!!! So good
Very-very Good Video
Thanks
Good Luck 2021...
Amazing video
That track is cool
what a beautiful track location, nice!!!
Good work
C'mon Craig, way to represent Pfafftown, NC and Reagan High School!
Thanks for the reminder to keep comments respectful otherwise I would have said something disrespectful about the coach. The Craig’s seem like really nice guys, unlike their coach.
Thank you for the great video! Watching this before a road race.
Bones hurt watching them do a cooldown on bricks
It's weird to visually see how much faster a 63 looks in comparison to a 65.
that 26 looked tough for them so now I don't feel bad
Nowak is the pacing god. Sub 8:20 at the trials for sure
400m is a lot of rest. When I did this in high school, I would take 90 seconds off in between reps and a 400m slow jog between sets
Best training video I’ve seen, loved it
I've never seen a track like that. Good video!
Pretty funn...trail/speed run on a track....looked like a fun hill. Keep at it-Competition is training hard also.
First time watch your video
Spikes on engles feet? Didn’t look like dragonfly’s
Subbed and unsubbed to flotrack.
That's the most scenic track I have ever seen!
Wht is this track with a forest in the middle? It's lovely...
I love to run here... Awesome spot❤️
What a beautiful track!
pretty sure drake shot his video at the big building
that track is beautiful
Why are they running backwards?
I can see why the Nike HQ track wouldn’t want bikes
Same. It was hard to hear exactly what Pete said, but it sounded like “Sign said no bikes on the track! No bikes on the track!” Pete is a lot like Alberto in terms of his snappy personality. But Alberto was never recorded being snappy like Pete here.
why are they running the wrong way on the track?
Wake up babe it’s Craig 🥰
What a lovely track/location.
Anyone know how long they rest for?
Friendly coach…
You know that track stadium looks beautiful and awesome. With a mini forest at the centre of a track it just look awesome. My question is that what if a snake or a any kind of wild animal crosses the track when you are in the middle of a race. 😀
I’m puking just watching them rattle off 2:00 800’s
Flo track who ?, good videos 👌
Why not include Craig Nowak on the title too. He’s a really accomplished runner as well. Cringe not to include him.
Craig Engels is the best.
I am always his biggest fan. I judge athletes by their character more than their performance.
What was the rest
Jog 400m
This track is the coolest, but must be a but challenging with regards to race strategy
Insane to have a forest at the middle of a track. Where is it located exactly?
i see these tracks around a forested area all the time on youtube, anyone know if theres any of them are in wisconsin?
What’s on the back of Craig his T-Shirt?
Where’s this nice track at
Fantastic video!
Language hindi
Does anyone know what their recovery was?
Ultimate running track with the green
Why did they run in the opposite way on the track?
Us Craig's are a strong breed.
