It was on this farm that I grew up, where I smiled and had the best childhood any child could have, everything I know today about love, affection, caring, everything was done with lots of love. Roses were always very special. ❤
My favourite property to date. Perfectly priced and sized. Shame I am still a few years from retirement. Have you two ever thought of starting a farm consultancy business? Just so much knowledge and ideas that could benefit inexperienced folks looking to go into farming. Big fan!
I'm falling in love with Portugal from Hawaii. We're planning to go there in a couple years when my husband retires and possibly a 2nd home away from home. Your UA-cam station is very tempting, I'm loving some of these farms! Thank you!
@@Farmerforfun thank you Joseph! I can't wait to see all those beautiful places in rural Portugal and meeting you and your lovely wife and family would be a huge must do! Obrigado Joseph!
Joseph once again you show us an absolutely beautiful property. I hope Andre doesn't give himself a tummy ache or worse eating the fruit. I hope your back is continuing to improve. Love as always to your family and Andre's.
Old heritage fruits & vegetables for me, please. One of the reasons I dream of Portugal. The water, the air, the soil...❤ p.s. You could grow some fish to eat in the ponds, another food source. 🎉
Yes, it's a nice place. I guess for the house in this case, the best is to break it down completely. Create a good basis . And put up some new walls. Build a small home. Many different fruit trees, that is great. And the ponds.
Nice little farm. I would be interested in finding out how much it could cost to rebuild a small house like that? Electricity how much to get it to the farm? Get a digger to dig out the water source? Building a well? Etc. It would give us an idea of basic prices to factor in. We are in Canada so we have no idea on how much one would have to factor in to modify the house so it can be livable. Also, if you buy this land, how quickly can you start rebuilding this house or do you need to wait for permits and if so, how long does this all take? How long does the paper work once an offer is accepted to become the owner? Would love to understand this part of the process a bit more. Thank you for showing us these properties. How far is the village here or does one have to go to the 2 bigger cities to get bread in the morning?
Hi there, ruin renovations are generally around 30 / 50k for a total renovation. diggers cost around €40 / €60 an hour, but just get someone to do the digger work when they are doing another job, should be cheaper. Paperwork is all ready to go. once the offer is accepted by the sellers the property purchase is a very quick and painless procedure, get your legal representative to check the paperwork, then good to go 😊
Thanks Joseph. How about bringing the electricity to the house? How long of a process? How much does it cost? Building a well price? Is there special permits for this and if so how quickly? Finally septic tank.. permits? Price? Thanks again really appreciate your info.
Bread and stuff like that, cheese sausage lemonade (beer) , normally you can buy in any village. Also a cafe or place to drink coffee and ice cream. If there is no store at all (doesn't happen often) there is probably a guy with a small van who comes daily, with bread and other stuff.
Hello there, yes that is spot on, there are mini markets, various cafes, restaurants, a swimming beach, small football ground and sports area, pizzeria, train station and more in the beautiful village 😊
Are there any restriction in the area regarding permits for new boreholes? I am always concerned that local authorities may deny the drilling of new boreholes? thanks in advance for your reply
People generally say 10 per hectare but I prefer to do less than that, or they overgraze. I would personally get three or four here and limit where they go with rotational grazing 😊
Depends what you want on the land, land itself can be found for 10k per hectare, then add a house/ruin, a well, fruit trees and generally the value increases
Normally in the summer the ground (the grass) gets dry. Also of course the grass/vegetation here has been cut. Not much rain in the summer normally, and it gets hot. There is still water though in the ponds, and underground. In the winter the rainfall fills everything up with water.

Checked it, and there is a mini-mercado in the village, small supermarket. And a coffee shop, and a tapas bar.

Hello! I would like to know that if someone outside Portugal can invest in agriculture land?
Please guide me.
I would never ever allow Andrew on my farm as he eats everything he sees... (jk ofc)
Haha!!
We love it that he does that because it shows how good the fruits are. And his knowledge of what grows where and when is so enriching.
I got my fair share off camera too, nomnomnom
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
BTW Andrew has a good heart 🩵👍
🤣🤣🤣
Are the neighbours organic farmers?
What does "100m2 Usable Area" mean? Means you can rebuild up to a 100m2 house?
Hello there, yes it means you can have 100m2 house over two storeys
@@Farmerforfun Alright, thank you 🙏🏼
Has this one been sold as I can't find it on your website?
Hello there, it is still available 😊
How many sheep could one have on this property?
People generally say 10 per hectare but I prefer to do less than that, or they overgraze. I would personally get three or four here and limit where they go with rotational grazing 😊
What is the good budget to buy 1h land in fundao around 10km from town center.
Depends what you want on the land, land itself can be found for 10k per hectare, then add a house/ruin, a well, fruit trees and generally the value increases
Ground is so dry. Is it like this every summer ?

What is the price?
Hi there, it is €45,000
Can you please explain - looks very dry.
Location please
