I always wondered how to achieve that polished brightened eye look that is every day go to, and this is it, my new go to technique. Seeing how to make eyes look bright and simply defined and not fussing around with eyeshadows as a hooded eye person is a great benefit. I've tried to get this look in the past and did not think of using a slightly lighter concealer and setting it. Fussed about with nearly flesh tone shadows to only have them crease throughout the day, and this eliminates all the hassle.
You're one of a kind, Wayne. I laughed so hard at the mascara part. You're welcome to do my mascara any time!

It's his lovely English accent, he's from Somerset I think which is usually a very broad accent, his is quite soft and only comes through occasionally. He does have a really nice voice. I watch a few English UA-camrs and some of it has to do with their accents. I'm originally from the UK and I think I miss hearing English voices.

Wayne, you’re so very relatable! I’m always using a cotton bud dipped in micellar water to clean away mascara speckles from my lids! As my eyes are hooded, I find that this method doesn’t seem to suit me but always watching you for inspiration and excellent tips and techniques. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
Hi Wayne I just love all your videos. They put makeup application into the easy instead of too hard basket. I especially love that you work with the mature and not perfect face/ eyes as no one else tells us how to deal with them. Also love your voice and second the audio book notion😉
I use the elf camouflage concealer for that. Does an excellent job. Doesn't need powder.
I might see how this looks! My eyelids have been stained gray since the 80s--cheap drug store eyeshadow in a Joan Jett palette. (Charcoal gray on the lid, black in the crease, battleship gray for the highlight)
Absolutely love you’ve brought these short simple hacks back. The powder puff / setting spray .. heavens to Betsy lol was wicked.. even with my crappy old puff from 6 yrs ago. New one ordered and I’m there for it..

Glad to see this technique! This is actually what I do, minus the powder, I use finishing spray instead. Powder just makes me look older. Thankfully I have super long lashes, and I don't put mascara on my bottom lashes, just don't like the look on myself! Thanks for confirming I am doing the right thing and don't need shadow or liner! I save those for going out!

I love this…I did it today…I use Mac painterly paint pot…then I put a darker lip on and I feel great! I still enjoy a little shadow some days but I’m over feeling like this shadowless look isn’t a look In itself! Sometimes I’ll see a beauty influencer start their video without shadow to show a look and all I can think is she looks beautiful just the way she is!

I’ve been doing something similar for 30 years. I have just used concealer over my entire eye area as Wayne has used this foundation. Then mascara. Boom done. I am going to try this product though! And Honest to Betsy? Adorable.

I’ve just been using foundation all over, including lids, then use an angle brush to press dark eyeshadow into the upper lash line. No mascara cause it always looks clumpy. Good lipstick really finishes it.

Wow, thank you💕. I use P Louise base in a lite, then foundation and power with a white setting powder. I questioned myself because I like it but didn’t know why as no one else was doing it- till you! Best, you explained why it works, something I hadn’t thought of because I was doubting myself. It allows more light! I needed this video. Bless you.

This is my go to! I do light on the foundation, light on the blusher, do my eyebrows and line my top inside waterline, then mascara with a tinted lip balm to finish off. So quick, less than 10 mins

I'm doing this trick only on my eyelid with a nude pencil, than a bit of matt eyeshadow in the crease and black mascara. Sometimes I pop up a highlight into the inner corner and the eyes get so big! Especially as I have hooded eyes😅
Love that idea! Right now I am using white ( G.C.) as a canvas on my lid. Peach corrector under the eye ( Ben Nye) . and Jane Iredale shadows in white (lid)and gray or beige in crease. .

I did this 20 years ago, I was running a pub, long hours, and my makeup was never a priority for me, before getting back into working life, I'd been raising my 4 children, I wouldn't leave home without makeup, but it had to be quick and easy..I used a translucent face powder, I'm pale and this was enough. Good to see that it's being presented now...life's too short to be perfecting every day looks...and when you do have a social event you can bring out the colour...I'm 60 now, and still won't leave home without makeup! X

Looks clean and natural . Good one .
I like to use Supergoop shimmershade on my lid. It provides SPF and glows and is pretty transparent. Then I put on some MAC eyeshadow that matches my skin tone over that. It's easy and brightens my eyes . Then I put on mascara and eyeliner.

I used to love eyeshadow. But now I suffer from dry eye. I’ve tried so many eyeshadows but always end up with irritated sore eyes. I have gotten tattooed eyeliner and have (mostly) given up on eyeshadow. I’m going to try a liquid foundation and this trick. 🤞🏻

I’ve got puffy, oily hoodies that are slightly wide set. Tightlining w deep brown and highlighting the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line + spot concealing, blush, bronzer and brows is my 10-15 face! I just can’t be bothered w a more complete (as much as I love it) for day to day

Dear Wayne, I am adore your work I think you’re an icon. I am doing my makeup every single day since I’m 15, and I’m usually doing a good job according to feedbacks. However I’d been struggling with my brows since I’d started to do my hair and makeup. I have blonde hair brows and everything. I like them to be visible and generous but not bushy. They are thick but sitting a bit rare. Please please suggest me a brow product, I’m using using a coloured brow gel that holds good and the colour is suited for a level 9 blonde but still visible. I don’t think you’ll ever read this cause you’re a super busy makeup artist, but I’d tried 😂 Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
