That can be applicable to our needs coz this are Littoral designed ships, meaning for patrolling in shallow waters but the costs of operations i hear are huge. If we can possibly swap the engines with a more low cost ones that the Phil. Navy is already operating. Austal manufactured this ships and we have Austal in Cebu already so this might worked for us.

Ukraine has no navy but has destroyed several advance Russian warships at the Black Sea only by using cheap sea drones. Russia is now afraid to deploy their ships in the Black Sea & has moved its ships further away from the Black Sea to avoid sea drones coz they are being terrorized by Ukraine's drones. Perhaps we could also adopt the defense & offensive naval warfare strategy of Ukraine by procuring multiple sea drones or develop our own drones as part of our navy's modernization project. Drones has changed the dynamics of modern naval warfare.

No. Please consider a warship that weighs 3000 tons has a fuel tank of about 20,000 liters of diesel, 4 generators, two turbocharged 5,000 horsepower engines. after 2 weeks it has to refuel. Best have a number of fully armed corvettes or frigates and submarines that are new and armed with the high end missiles like Exocet. Ticonderoga class are huge 10,000 ton warships and over 40 years old, imagine the cost of fuel, maintenance and spare parts. It also needs a big number of crew. Our Rizal, Malvar and existing warships are newer ones to come will serve the Philippines as long as they are always fully armed and with well trained crew.

Reportedly, they aren't free. They are being offered for sale at fifty million dollars ($50M) per ship.

PN should acquire the Ticonderoga Class rather than this ship

PHILIPPINES MUST BUY A VESSELS THAT CAN BE USE FOR A LONG TIME. ITS EXPENSIVE YET,ITS FOR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE THAT WILL COST MONEY AND TIME TO MAKE IT OPERATIONAL. BETTER GIVE THEM FREE TO AUGMENT ITS REPAIR COST.
