Really appreciate the time and hands on effort you have done to make this great instructive video. Just bought a 2022 MG V7 Special and I am going to get a center stand for it - this looks like it will save a lot of pain. Many thanks for the UK. Regards Jim
Thanks so much for the video on how to install the center stand work great what I did was lock the front wheel and I put the strap around the back tire that pulled it in close enough and I didn't have to hook it to my cubby or my car in front of the garage Great video keep up the good work Thanks again
I just got the center stand for my 2020 V85TT and it had no instructions. I watched this video and had it on in 20 minutes; including using your ratchet strap and front brake hack! Thanks for making this video!
Sure glad I watched your video. Those instructions were worthless. I hooked a ratchet strap to my pickup tow hook. When I got enough spring pull, that strap was tighter than a fiddle string. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for this video and explanation. I bought the original center stand for my v85 and it just comes without any useful information about the assembly. Just a note that it must be carried out by specialized staff following the instruction manual 2S001335 which I could not find. With you video it was done in 15 minutes. The way how you solved mounting the spring was useful and made that easy. Many thanks from Germany. Robert
Thank You !!!! Tutorial was invaluable. We are luck to have you posting these things. One hint. For those of use with weak hands. The sleeves that go over the springs can be threaded on (once greased and started) with a couple sets of adjustable pliers.
I remember installing center stand to my Aprilia Pegaso back in 2007 or 2008 in the middle of the street, using my bare hands to extend the spring... It was winter and my hands were freezing. Good old days...
Thanks a lot for your video. I was able to do it within an half hour. It was a little bit scary to attach the rachet to a not so strong post, but managed it at the end.
Great video and good use of a ratchet strap for those return springs. Nice to see i'm not the only person that makes use of military kit (tube of grease). Keep up the good work and enjoy your Guzzi.
Cuby… you are great🙌🏻🙏✌🏻… i always enjoy watching your structed explanations in your videos🙌🏻 especially herby using the strap to tighten the springs! Waiting for picking up my v85tt and mountain the center stand 👍👌 Thx 🙏 a lot
You are my hero. Nearly took the cat off to get those bolts in before I saw your video. And I would have been clueless about the springs. Fantastic video, so helpful.
I followed this video too to fit a centrestand to my V85TT. The ratchet tip was excellent and the bike is kitted out now along with the engine Givi guards and Power bronze hugger to tour Scotland where I live🏴🥃
So glad I watched this video. Just installed a centre stand on my new V85 Travel using a ratchet strap. Not too difficult even for an amateur like me. Dealer wanted 2.5 hours labour!
Thanks for this video. I watched it twice and installed the stand on my V85TT using the same tools and method. Even with a ratchet strap those springs were not easy. Thanks again.

Hi Mate, greetings for the UK great videos and I just wondered, when you fitted your centre stand, did it have a small amount or f lateral movement ? A couple of mm’s ? Just fitted mine and i have movement even though the bolts are torqued cheers 👍
@@PThree-ru7gl I really can't remember if I had lateral movement. I would say no, but it's been a while and that bike is long gone. I will be putting one on my new 2025 bike shortly.... we'll see. Ride safe.
Great videos my friend. Just picked up my v85tt yesterday. Gonna put a stand on it and possible crash bars. Any thoughts on the stock screen ? Do you get much buffeting ? Greeting from Liverpool 👍
I put a larger Givi adjustable screen on and went back to the small stock one. It just works, no buffeting. Congratulations on your new bike! Ride safe.
@@cubbysue Cheers buddy, sometimes I think these taller screens don’t work. I like the look of the smaller smoked screen. Any more aftermarket accessories you recommend for the V85TT. ?

Good job and thank you for posting this. Looks daunting but you’ve given me the confidence to do this myself. Naturally the dealer said it was an exhaust-off job but he would say that wouldn’t he. Spanners? Check. Ratchet strap? Check. Now, just need some lube 😀

Hi Cubbysue, it appears you are using the MG pannier side supports? I just picked up a base V85TT without these. In your opinion are they strong enough? Many pannier supports connect together with a bar in the rear. These appear to not have the bar? Thanks in advance for the info. Blaze on.
Mine have 4 small m4 bolts that hold them to the bottom of the frame and two more m4 bolts that attach at the passenger foot pegs. They are strong enough to lift the bike to put it on the center stand. The upper box mount has 4 m4 bolts holding directly to the frame. They all feel very solid, I have no complaints regarding the way they mount.
G'day Cubby from Australia, great vids you show all the necessary details.
