Never fun to have a boss like that, I myself have not had one, but a friend of mine did and he was almost exactly the same as this. Luckily he got fired, and my friend got the position.
There is a recent case where a Puerto Rican man flew into Florida, I think, from PR to visit his son. He is (was) a member of Hertz' executive club and the agent wouldn't let him take the car he reserved and paid for without a passport. The agent called the cops and the cops kicked him out of the airport. The man wasn't being combative, and he wasn't swearing at the agent. He was justifiably angry but still professional.
Story 1: That boss wasn't just both stupid AND a jerk, but also a massive hypocrite. I’m Puerto Rican, but I was born and raised in New Jersey, so I actually wonder how she would interact with me. Story 2: The OP's parents clearly do not care about her. Story 3: The friend is just an attention-seeker. He's angry over not getting a hypothetical money offer?! Story 4: The aunt really needs to discipline Charlie, so that he isn't a difficult spoiled brat. He was ten at the time of this video and I doubt he changed in those two years. Charlie sounds like a picky eater who only wants to eat sweets. Blaming the ex is just a piss-poor excuse. Story 5: The ex-boyfriend needed to be taken down many notches.
story 2: I definitely wouldn't want to go to the ceremony either, but I really hope the OP has a private conversation with the sister, just to clarify that it's not the sister that they blame. Because if they don't take the time to talk, misunderstandings will happen and feelings will be hurt and relationships will be tainted by resentment for a long time.
I get it about your relationship with your parents, BUT, it is your sister that you are punishing. Since you said you had no beef with her, just sit somewhere away from your parents and make sure She can see you were there. Unless of course you plan on keeping all of them out of your life permanently...Jmo
Had an abusive boss such as this. She even tried to push me into dating her creepy son. I quit after telling her “No”, because I knew I would be able to do no right at work after this.
#3--that boy would NOT be able to sit for several days. New rule, you eat what is on your plate or you go hungry. Even if you have to put a lock on the fridge and cabinets.
Story 1: I feel so stupid. It somehow did not occur to me that 1. Canadians have to apply for U.S citizenship (somehow in my brain I thought they just asked for it and got it.) And 2. That Canadians can be deported back to Canada. Like... bruh. It should be common sense, but no. Apparently not
now that's karma, I love it when an entitled person has gotten a taste of their own medicine, by getting what it feels like being deported, so if that entitled Canadian immigrant sees this: I hope you like seeing snow for weeks on end up there, lol!
Story 1: Who tf is the owner of this restaurant??? Jane was just a GM, right?? Story 2: it is so sickening to me that these parents not only basically abandoned their first born to raise themselves, but had another child after their second, like, WHY??? You already don't care about your other child, why would you bring a third into this world when you KNOW you're just going to make your other child raise them? You chose to bring that baby into this world, not your other child. But, you should not punish your little sister because you're hurt, it's not her fault that you have shitty parents any more than it's hers. I would go to the graduation and just set a boundary.
Story for the kid and his sister graduating - just remember, your little sister didn’t do anything wrong, do not punish her because your parents fucked up
I didn't go to my lil sister graduation either. I grew up being neglected by my mom n forced to raise my lil sis. I moved out n now live hrs away. I choose not go because i never was allowed to put myself first n for the first time i did n it felt great. My sis wasn't happy i didn't go but she understood. So to the person who chose not to attend her sisters graduation dont feel bad. Keep putting urself first.
I have had a tenant who worked in my country, working illegally. I made it so that it became legal. Take it as a challenge. She left after two years of tenancy. We remain as friends 'till this day after 5 years.
The last story I was a bit disappointed with the ending although it was good, her parents helped out and she escaped, had friends supporting for that made me frustrated how there was no revenge. I mean what they did is inhuman that im suprised ot wouldnt hold you back. However im glad that your safe and well and hopefully you find a better partner that will treat you good.
I have something similar to that except I am always hungry and eat like crazy and I don't feel full until I got like three plates of something at least and I do admit I am on the heavy side but I've had this ever since I was about average weight
For story 3 honestly theres usually a part in life where you have to be the bigger man and just apologize from the way i see it his friend isn’t looking for money it just seems like he wanted to get it off his chest to a group of people he really trusted seeing as how he refused all the money thrown at him personally I wouldn’t go as far as like confronting op about him not offering money but he would definitely be the last person i would ask for or give help too the whole thing is really just a test of friendship even if the guy didn’t mean it to be
Story 3: I disagree. Friends are meant to have each other’s back. I would 100% cover my friend’s back if needed. By OP not offering the money, the friend is right…how can he count on OP? Even if he was going to deny it the gesture means alot. Also comparing his dad’s situation to his own (OP) does show he does not trust his friend. Also his friend did not look for attention. He was with his friends and vented and then the other friends (not OP) offered to help. So yeah i think OP is the jerk.
Story 2: Heck yes your the JERK!!! At the time that you wanted the attention the family finances couldn't afford a tutor for you and sustain your sister. Yes, the parents could have helped you themselves or at least acknowledged you were having issues. But holding a grudge now that they are doing better financially and can help the youger sister more then they could you, shame on you!! I grew up the same way with a brother that needed constant care.Birthday and Christmas presents were meager at best. I made the sacrifices so my brother could live. I followed the same path as you in retail, fast food, whatever I needed to do to make ends meet. But that was my choice and I don't blame my family because of MY decisions to be lazy and not help myself to do better. Anyways, kudos for you on taking care of your sisters. At least you helped to contribute to the family when it was needed.
I get what you're saying, but acknowledging that OP could've done more to help doesn't stop them from being justified about unfair treatment. It sounds like the parents didn't try to acknowledge the situation at all, which wouldn't help things. Also, it's just a hs graduation and they did send a card. You make it sound like OP has snubbed their sibling's Nobel Prize award ceremony. It's the opposite of a big deal. (Also, OP mentioned they had a milder form of their sibling's disability, which may have hindered their progress in school since no one picked up on it or offered assistance)
They're Puerto Rican... Puerto Ricans are US Citizens... Her threats are just bullshit meant to scare into compliance. Also even illegal migrant workers have protections given to them by the United States. Did you even listen or are you just a racist?

I'm so glad I'm not Canadian, I'm from Winnipeg.
I'm from Brandon
Lmao an apology from a Canadian not surprised lol 😅😂
All good! We know that like 99.99% of all Canadians are kind, light hearted people.
No one is blaming the rest of Canada.

I think I heard the first story from you guys before. Still though, Jane deserved it
Yeah we did
Yeah i've listen it too
Yup. It seems they are running low again
Yeah. Sometimes they tell the same story again. The first story they told us was ages ago.
Do you remember the name of the video?

Since when did you need a passport to come to the mainland from a territory?
Most Americans are racist to us puertoricans, my uncle lives in Florida, he didn't have any problems luckily
When people are stupid. I have heard people do the same to those from Hawaii
@@leileyaravencroft That's even worse-Hawaii is a state. I did hear of people mistaking New Mexico for a foreign country.
Doesn't matter how you speak and act with white supremacists. you will always be seen as bad. Because in their head you're not supposed to talk back.

Honestly I'm shocked that this was allowed to go on as long as it did. There's no reason to treat your staff like your a dictator.
A true boss knows that respect is a two-way street.
She deserved getting deported
Jane didn’t have any right to attempt to deport the employees
@@SuperMario-it5kp She couldn't anyway-they were American.

We weren't allowed any cake if we didn't eat our meal. We didn't ask either. We survived just fine. 😂
On the story about the CRAPPY son and mother, op save, record and print out the text messages and file harassment charges against her.
Harassment charges?
I would have been whooped if i was that boy 💀

now that's karma, I love it when an entitled person has gotten a taste of their own medicine, by getting what it feels like being deported, so if that entitled Canadian immigrant sees this: I hope you like seeing snow for weeks on end up there, lol!
Puerto Rico is a US territory, so the employees wouldn't have been deported anyway.
The entitled aunt at the birthday party needs her child taken away. Or else he might end up in the electric chair when he gets older.
i'd let cps know if I were you

Me: "Charlie is an entitled little shit with a pathetic excuse of a mother"

Last story, the ex is a manipulative psychopath and his psycho mother is the one to raise him like that.
but it's a happy ending that op's parents are there with her.
Its crazy the amount of people that don't know Puerto Ricans are Americans
