- Today in The Sims 4, we renovate a Maxis home from Windenberg that originated as a starter home. I really enjoyed the rustic, industrial farm house look we created. What do you think?

I've renovated this house a couple times before and my favourite was when I embraced the windenberg style of the original structure with a bit of modern enhancement and I added a completely modern addition that created some nice juxtaposition.
I love modern extensions and renovations to old builds
this reminds me of the one build James did in Windenbrug where he added a modern sunroom to the same house deli now does and it didn't completely broke the Windenburg aesthetic!
I did too! My extension was one big square room on both levels, stretching from the front left of the lot to about 10 squares from the back, keeping that clump of bushes by the front. Then extended the bottom storey out a few squares with a glass roof for the kitchen.
This renovation on a protected structure would not go through the Windenburg Planning Department 😉
Ahah tha's true! I don't know for other countries but in mine, in the historical city centers of old cities you have to keep the style of the area^^. But I absolutely love the indoor renovation made here
I work in a shop that located in a building from the 1600s, and it’s class a protected. Which means renovating is a NIGHTMARE. We had to paint last year, and it was such a hassle, because you had to use the original materials
I love how the starters look, actually. I've been to a certain rural area in Germany and the houses were EXACTLY like this one lol
ooooh
i'm from germany, and i'm so sad she changed the style. i love her but i wish she would embrace styles out of her comfort zones more.
@@PeediBear Geht mir genauso!
I know that this is the sims, so it doesn't matter like in real life, but what if you did a build where the outside was like a heritage house and you have to keep it same(ish) or perhaps add a modern extension to an older style house :)
Omg sims meets grand designs style!
@@Collins789 That would have been so much nicer on this house. Find a way to bring in the light she wanted but maintain the "historical" integrity. So much harder than just redoing it too, so many not the thing for a video at the end of a busy day, but I'd love to see it.
I think she did something like that before
the one column that was a different colour was driving me mad, but this reno was so beautiful
I love this series of renovating sims 4 houses !!
Same 😊🥰
When I visited the countryside of England, some of the houses still had those beams on the outside. I think the build did turn out really cute, but I do wish the outside of the home had been embraced. If it were irl, it'd be like its history had been taken away. But I guess that's the good thing about the Sims. It IS just a game. 😅
The house initially is a Tudor House and most if not all are protected (most are 500years old). I would have loved to have seen it with a thatched roof since a lot of them do have thatched roofs. I will admit it's cool to see it renovated since in real-life renovations to a Tudor house like this would be very hard to do, even if permission is allowed.
Look like a scandinavian cabin, a little modern but still cosy og tree stuff, love it!
I love the mix of terracotta and sage in the bathroom upstairs. I will start doing that in my future builds!
Yay!
The renovation reminds me of a modern lake house/camp. Really cute! I adore a Tudor style home so this isn’t really my style but I still like it. The mezzanine and pillars added more character as well which I like!
I love the renovation! I was pretty iffy when you first started it, but it turned out so amazing.
I renovated this same lot into a coffee/tea house and just updated the windows and lighting, so it ended up having some fun character!
Oh cute!
I had a similar idea! I added an open pergola off the side and reno’d it into a bakery with a basement commercial kitchen & living space upstairs. One of my most used lots in-game💚
"He always wants the attention"
*Give him the attention, Deli*
*_HE DESERVES IT_*
I DID I DID
I like Deli's sense of style. I enjoy your renovations of EA built houses.
When you first put in the beams I was like oh my, but seeing the end result. I love this!
Love this reno especially your creativity to build a loft area. As with all sim builders, I watch because I love seeing your take on it and I love that it evolves organically as you build 🥰
I never realized how nice that color of floorboards looked!
Love it! Those little round tables that came with Tiny Living that you use a lot...they're always so cute in your builds and when I try to use them they just never seem to work. My favorite living room side table is the one from Laundry Day. I love that little table and try to add it to all my builds. You're amazing, Deli! Love this.
Oh that dog, so fluffy, so big, so adorable I want to just hug him!
Wear shower cap whilst doing home stuff, it stops things from getting in your hair. I learnt my lesson after getting gloss paint in my hair and having to cut it out
Nooo! 🥲❤️
The low key asmr from the keyboard and mouse is the cherry on top for these videos!! Love it
Omg this. Is. To die for. Love it!!!! The colours, the mezzanine bedroom... Obsessed.
Im loving these renovation videos! I’ve downloaded the ones you’ve done so far. i love the quirky vibes and the colors x I’ve actually been to a home that had beams around the house like that.
Shoutout to Mr Chow Chow for coming in while you’re recording. My dog is named Chow and he always wants to be around when I’m working on the computer too haha.
I would absolutely love a video where you go over different house styles (Tudor, Modern, Colonial, etc) exterior and interior! Maybe show some IRL or sims examples!
The terracotta and teal is a lovely combo!!! There’s a swatch on the Jungle adventure tiles that I love doing with terracotta walls!!
This house is super cute deli! I love the wood tones and the oak house pack is so good - it complements the orjanic pack so well.
love this! Windenburg with a face lift! Love the mix of colours especially, the sage and terracotta - going to have to remember that combo!
I think this is my favorite build you’ve ever done
So cute...love how you did the color schemes..worked so good. Always nice to see Bowser..he always puts a smile on my face. Now you look beat take a nap lol!!! Hugs girl xo ❤️
Hahaha.
I love adding a sunroom onto the big, empty side of this house 😄 Yours looks really cool!
You just made my dream house! LOL, love the open wooden floor plan
this build feels like it was taken from one of the interior designer magazines and I love it!
I love the colors you used. The wood floors with the color palate look so nice!
I just got this pack and I chose this starter home, and I've been gradually modernizing it and adding onto it, lol. I love this renovation!
Deli I love this build! At first it felt a little dark for me but in the end it was soooo cozy!
my first house had the kitchen upstairs and all the rooms on the main level! It was a hassle with the groceries but I grew to like it because the house never smelled like the cooking and the view was nicer.
Thanks to you I also started these kind of build challenge to use only the money the lot has left and gives when you delete furniture I do not need. It is really fun to do! Next to see you renovating this!
But I only use the packs of the world together with the building kits, to make it more of a challenge for me.
I love myself an open plan house however I have to admit that my little European heart breaks everytime a simmer renovates one of the Windenburg houses and doesn't keep the closed floor plan and just makes everything into one big room. It's so common around where I live that you don't have a whole floor open but separate rooms and I liked that about Windenburg and Henford on Bagley as the open plan makes them so American each time..
Super cute renovation! Love all the teal vibes and the mezzanine level you did 😊
I love this style you did deli! I personal LOVE the color combo and I too would totally live in that house if I could. I did giggle some as you started off saying "Boho" and started to turn back to some of the style you enjoy BUT I think you did an amazing job. As another build idea, which I know has been done before - I would love to see you "spin a wheel" on style of home Examples on the wheel could be: Boho, Industrial, Tradition, Farmhouse, Cottage Core, Caribbean and more and just see what you land on and try building something you normally never would try!
Okay but bowser has grown so much 😭😭😭 love your builds deli xx
This build reminds me of renovated barns I see on renovation shows. Cool build
i really like how this build turned out!!
This by far is one of my faves- it feels realistic and super homey!
I think it looks amazing. Forget my Sims, I'd happily live in this house.
It's a good day when she uploads 💙
Very nice! I also like to redo this house as it is a great starter. I usually add a little English garden in the yard.
My husband and I just bought a 1954 house. Since you are the queen of mid century builds and decorating, I would love if you could decorate our new house in the sims! I think that would be a fun video! ❤️
Very nice renovation I love the way the house looks now!
I love how this turned out!
I ever see a Sims built so freaking perfect you go, why can't I live there 😢
It's quite trippy to see this video because I renovated this house few months ago and they ended up really similar 😄 Desk, bed, downstairs bathroom all same placement, mezzanine level, black kitchen 😅 Mine is a true industrial interior but other than that it's pretty much the same. I kind of want to download this and place this as the neighbouring house to mine!
I LOVE when u use CC and renovate!!!!:)
Deli I’m in love with every renovation / build you do 🥺😩
Watching this while taking a break from painting... yay home renos... so related to the paint everywhere moment.
Edited to add: I lived in a house where the kitchen was on the main level. Not crazy in itself obviously, but the dining and living room were upstairs a level and the bedrooms downstairs a level. We had frequent dinner and house parties back then and it was such a PITA to lug all the food upstairs after cooking it and all the dishes down to get washed after dinner. I never understood why they decided to build it like that.
I love the darker builds. Cool to see you change it up!
It looks compleeetely different I actually love this lot now 😍
i aspire to be this good at building!! Love you Deli xx
i did not know you can expand the roof on one side holding shift OMG, this is why i love watching builds
I love the new look & the old is great to but I like this one better! I think you did amazing! Love it❤️
Deli you knocked it out of the park beautiful! another great video
Soooo cute! Also the paint in your hair had me cackling 🤣
A Challenge idea/suggestion for you:
Give every unoccupied lot in TS4 a makeover or just the ones that really need it. Unless, you want to do all residential lots, occupied and unoccupied, in the game. Of course, this would just be the ones you haven't done.
I love the starter home renovation series it’s so much fun
Great renovation! Love the style choice and color combos!
i was really skeptical about this house at first, but deli totally pulled it together! she is genuinely my favorite sims builder.
me toooo
❤️❤️❤️🥲
One of my favourite builds , I love the teal so much
I always add an industrial modern extension to these builds. The combination of new and old is so easy to achieve in get together
My favorite part is both bathrooms...so cute!!!
I love your renovations. I have tried to renovate the in game builds but I am never succesful. They are so odd and badly designed that it feels overwhelming. I feel like it is easier to just build a new house. So, I don't know how you renovate these houses with ease and make it look great.
I don’t know if you’ve done it before but I’d love to see you tackle renovating the Villarreal mansion. A lot of people have tried and the way everything is it’s hard to renovate without completely changing everything. It would be interesting to see what your take on it is.
Love the design. Very different than the usual!
This is GORGEOUS. I would absolutely live here.
I did a renovation of this too! It’s on the gallery!
I'd add in one of the plant wall items between the dining and kitchen 😅 always more plants haha
It's amazing, just like any of your other builds are
I would love to see renovations of the Pigulock Manor in Eco Lifestyle and the Magic HQ lot in Realm of Magic!
That's a very cool house. Living the dark colours and black kitchen. I wouldnt like it irl but in sims I do.💚🖤
Loved your renovation. How about a house that's a maze or garden or both house and garden? Loving your work. xxxxx
I've woken up and chosen chaos Deli. Or, I've given up sleep and chosen chaos? I reference Lil Simsies 23 toddlers video for the level of chaos I am currently enjoying. Incorporate that how you will. Opposite like Vlads house and the Goths and completely change the style. Age down Agnes and give her the life she always wanted. I'm happy to watch whatever you feel like doing xoxo
I love what you did with this although it would have been great to see you keep with the traditional tudor theme with improvements. I do love it though and maybe it's a case of them revamping Windenburg to move away from the old tudor style and modernise it up. I love what you did though. Such a vast improvement from the original, awful EA build. You should be a designer/architect :). So talented and creative and I certainly couldn't do it, only in my head, lol, so hats off to you Deli :)
I’ve always hated this house, I bulldoze it every time 😂😂 they have such a good view too!
What a beautiful home! I love it!!
The yassification of Havisham House
This is my dream house but it needs stained glass! I loved this build!!
i have missed these build renos !!
Absolutely THE best Windenberg Reno!!
Yeah the colours are awesome! :)
You made the house so aesthetically pleasing! 🥹 I wish I could make houses as good as you!
Loved it! Again, you have an impeccable taste 🥰
deli renovates house probably my most fav video
There’s one beam that’s different from the others😂😂
Mesanine looks great in this build 😍
I love the renovations and builds and challenges.
Lovely reno deli💕
Yep, I know someone who does not have a kitchen/living area downstairs. It's a town on an island with regular floods ;)
I really liked the finished product. Except I think one post is still the redder wood? The back left as you walk in.
I love Tudor houses. Been creating Henry VIII's love shack with Anne Boleyn (a little tudor cottage in Buckinghamshire UK), in The Sims 4. I just wish I could be better at building in Sims. I hate platforms, stairs and roofs. 😆

I renovated this one it is… really sad I can’t wait to see what you come up with
