I am doing a no buy next year. I do not know how to spend reasonably and I have way to much unused makeup. I buy it, put it on a shelf or in a drawer and on to the next. I don't even know what I like because I just buy.. you've got balance and that's what I'm trying to achieve with my no buy next year, use what I own and find out my preferences. I'll be here next year for whatever you bring. Merry Christmas
i have oily, acne prone skin and have worn my essence baby got blush blush stick super often. never makes me break out ☺️ this video makes me want to be more aware of how much makeup i’m buying and how much i spend.
I quit buying anything from Make up Revolution, some things are good but it’s not consistent and I always regret my purchases from that brand. Im trying a no buy year, I have way too much make up that I need to concentrate on using and you’ve inspired me to try a project pan. 🎉
Mascara smudging: when I like a mascara but it smudges on me, I use a waterproof mascara on the tip of my lashes (on both sides of my lashes). It works like a charm!
In 2023 I did a little trackage project to see how I spend naturally.. so I didn’t set a limit I kind of just wanted to see how much I would spend organically and oh boy this year was the year of releases and I spent overall 760 dollars on makeup haha! It’s definitely an eye opener especially since most of it was eyeshadow because it’s my niche and favorite part of makeup… coming into 2024 I’m gonna definitely think before I buy another eyeshadow palette. The sucker was definitely odens eye it’s my favorite brand and they released so much limited edition makeup in 2023, I wish brands would stop with limited edition products because I buy a lot thinking I’ll never get the chance again whether I like the color story or not and for fear of fomo :/
I was not as successful with my low-buy this year. That being said, I can safely say that most categories can now be on replacement only. I don't feel the pull to the newest products as much as I have previously. I just want to find products that work well for what I want and are easily and affordably replaced as needed. I have found a lot of joy re-discovering products that I already own and finding the best ways they work for me, especially if those ways are creative and unconventional!
what if you try makeup revolution colour corrector with colourpop pretty fresh concealor? One being glowy, the other being dry might help them equalise? idk
Not sure if it's available in the US, but the Catrice Glam & Doll Boost Lash Growth Volume (in the grey tube), may be what you're looking for. It's my favourite one, it doesn't smudge or flake, and it's the only one I haven't poked myself in the eye with, since it's so small.
I have a couple of setting powders that are either slightly darker than my skin or they oxidize and the Essence Banana Powder is excellent for correcting that. I tried using it as a setting powder on its own and it’s awful, but if I use it more as a finishing powder for going on top of other setting powders to brighten any powders that oxidize on me or correct any bronzer helmet/ clown blush applications it truly works wonders that way
That happens to me too sometimes: I love a mascara, buy it again and don't love it as much. I've had this happen several times, and I don't know why. 😮 Merry christmas!
Yes! I loooove the colourpop foundation but hate the concealer. I tried a couple shades too and it looked terrible. Same goes for the tinted moisturizer.. hate it.
You can pour the FB setting spray in your empty bottle of makeup revolution one, the fix and glow one.
I have never understood why people don't combine these things more often especially if the finish and ingredients are similar
Yes, I will probably do that!

You could wash the mascara brush and then use it on your favorite formulas. It would be a bit of a hassle but may be a fun experiment

I love your commitment to a shimmery eye. It’s my favorite thing to wear myself!!!

Thank you for showing that beauty youtube creators don't have to spend a lot to be successful! Merry Christmas!

My goal for 2024 is replacement only.
I am glad you addressed the PR issue as being on a low buy when you get PR is not relatable to ppl doing a lowbuy when not on utube
Sarah - I love your videos and I appreciate your introspection! Your low buys and videos have helped my spending habits so incredibly much!

My favorite mascara of all time is the Maybelline lash sensational. The original, not the sky high. I really think you would like it!
I'm not necessarily doing a no buy or low buy, but I'm going to try to use what I have instead of buying more 😊
That elf lipstick is my favorite formula
It is amazing! I’m so glad I gave it a chance
I had the exact same experience with that Colourpop concealer, even though I also like the foundation :/ Your new brow routine is looking amazing!

You did a fabulous job!
Loved hearing your thoughts!
I'm thinking do a side one totalling pr products that you keep. Track what that would have cost

Catrice Eyeconista has got a short, slightly curved wand which I really loved. I am not sure though, whether it is available in the states.

This is great to know! Thank you!!
I put my makeup puffs in the washing machine inside a delicates bag and they turn out quite well

Fresh mascara Vs A little dried mascara.
People often start liking the consistency after 2 weeks since opened.

Hi Sarah, I know a MASCARA that has a similar wand. It's the Kiko Maxi mod one. It has a normal and a waterproof version. I loved it ❤
Thanks for sharing!!
If you put clear brow gel on your lashes before mascara on the bottom they won't transfer
