Would love a comparison video of Hermes vs. Loro Piana and Brunello Cucinelli for their cashmere pieces. My must used items at Hermes would be their cashmere long sleeve sweater for this winter season. The ‘H’ long sleeve cardigan in wool would come in 2nd. Great video!

Both LP and BC make amazing cashmere pieces. I adore both. With the exception of the much hyped LP "baby cashmere", I find BC's cashmere knits to be considerably softer than LP. My problem with Italian cashmere is that it pills terribly and requires more maintenance than Scottish cashmere. I have had H wool sweaters, but not cashmere.
As for what I use most, my Bolides-in Gold, Gris Tourtourelle, and Black, and my Hermes Box leather GM Semanier. Yes, I still like to write things down at meetings!
A true competition would include several of the Scottish mills who make the finest cashmere yarns and knitwear in the world. That is the real quiet luxury.
@@timeisahumanconstruct9251 True. None of my 30 year old Scottish cashmere pieces have ever had one pill. I'm not sure whether they still do, but Chanel used to use it exclusively. I also have vintage Westaway & Westaway and N. Peal sweaters that are good as the day I bought them.
Years ago I foolishly paid a ton of money for a beautiful, silk lined, Malo (Italian) woven cashmere coat. The salesperson warned me that it would pill terribly, but I was in love. Even though I've rarely worn it, it's virtually unwearable today. No matter what I do, it's just one, GIANT pill of a coat.

The Herbag Zip 31 I got a year and a half ago is EASILY my frequent flyer, especially while running errands. Love having my phone within reach in the exterior zip pocket. If I didn’t already have the LV Carryall travel bag I would definitely get the H Grooming bag. That’s been my ride-or-die travel piece for over a decade.

Love Hermes tableware. I love tea sets and started with the H Deco tea set. Now, i have a complete dinnerware set of 6. Getting obsessed with Soleil now. So pretty.

Enjoyed this, as usual, and a resounding "YES" to your cashmere comparison LP, H, BC etc. As far as using expensive items, I tend to hesitate at first, but once I wear or carry them a couple of times, the "taboo" is broken and I feel comfortable. That said, because of my line of work and lifestyle there are items that don't get as much use. Granted, these were items I bought earlier and fit a more "fantasy" self rather than my real life (I've learned...but still don't get an "A" in this class). Good luck with exams!

Great vlog G! I almost purchased the Hermes Echappee canvas cosmetics pouch in the cognac colorway but I went with a Celine pouch instead. I had a hard time deciding but ultimately, the Celine was $200 cheaper and my intention was to use it inside my Celine Cabas 16 tote so it just made more sense. I’m trying hard to break free from my OCD tendencies whereby my SLG’s have to match my handbags! The struggle is real though. Once you become a Psychologist, I will hire you as my online therapist to delve into this “matchy matchy” behavior! Better block off a half day for the session! 😁

Speaking of delicate, I finally got my Birkin last month! BUT there are already so many light scratches on my front gold hardware! Embarrassingly many, but none deep. Do you have any suggestions for fixing light scratches on the hardware?? 😢
