For those struggling at 0.50 to get the image to wrap nicely around the sides: You have to select "UV unwrap faces > Cube projection". Just RMB on the surface. You will also understand how "Assign" works after you have done this. Its a bit confusing in the video what assign actually does.
In fact, I never unwrapped the cube, so each face is a full image. This is important because the textures I am using are the full texture for each side of the block. Without uv mapping, the uvs are set up correctly for the textures I provided. But yes, generally, your method is better for more common methods or texturing.
@@01Beaker thanks for the reply. I am very much at the beginning of my learning curve but I couldn’t get the images to display nicely, they would end up, upside down or stretched out. The tutorial is very nice but I think double the length so 5-6 mins would be the ideal pace for a small project like this.
@@staticgrass people keep saying to make it longer, but the speed was intentional. I am going for an ian hubert or cgmatter style, that's why it is so scripted and fast. Just the style that I like to make. More entertaining, and dense with information.
Mostly because the entire point is for people to make it themselves so that they can learn more about blender. I suppose it would be a good idea to post it as a reference. I might upload it when I make it again.
The textures I use are directly from the game. If you're talking about a displacement map I guess that's possible, but I'm not really sure how to do that.
@@thefarmingsimnoobs2144 as far as I know, that really depends on the shader pack that you are using. You also actually need to render out at displacement map.
Sorry, this is really just for renders and animations in Blender. I have not looked into this application yet, but it might be possible with a resource pack. Here is a link that might help you to get started. mcreator.net/wiki/custom-obj-models-blocks-and-items
Why does it not wrap the cube right when I assign the picture to the designated face of the cube like the side of the cube and the side block. It doesnt fit well.
They changed it to Alt+M recently. Then click "faces by edges". If you need to find commands in the future, you can press "f3" and it will pop up a search dialogue box and you can search different commands too!

Hey Beaker, It’s me MattBoy, From Discord, I’ve been thinking of using Blender for artwork, Looks hard, But your videos look cool to learn!
You can do it!
@@01Beaker Thanks! Still haven’t gotten a laptop, Hope I get one soon!

@gamer x bc I had the image open in a file explorer window and dragged it into the material editor.
Amazing, thank you, that was really easy even with more advanced blocks
when i do select random it randomly selects the brown parts to and the highlgithed parts dont even get touched
Remember to click deselect random

But for the 2:27 how did u get into the camera view?

i dont find the ,,edge spilt,,
It looks like Blender has changed the key to ALT+M. You can also find it by pressing f3 and searching for edge split and selecting faces by edges
nice! :)
Awesome!
While doing select random instead of percentage it shows ratio how do i fix it?
You don't have to, the ratio and the percentage don't matter, they are the same. so for example: 20% is 0.2 and 60% is 0.6.
Bro, how do I make a texture pack in blender?
You don't really make a texture pack in blender. That's more what Photoshop is for.
dude can u export that textures to add in minecraft?

I can't activate the denoising Data it just isn't there (I'm in Blender 2.91)
It is there. Make sure you are in Cycles rendering engine. Should be under the view layers panel, under passes, data.
i cant craft it in blender 3D 3.0(newest version)
How so? What's holding you back?
how did you make the frame a square?
I just changed the resolution that the renders were set to to be 1920 x 1920
hello nice tutorial but I need help, I can't find "denoising data" option on the view layer menu is this normal? Thank you
