“ . . . take the dog to a no kill shelter”. Amazing how life can appear in fiction. In my county, there is no animal shelter of any kind. The neighboring counties do have shelters but won’t accept from outside their county. Sometimes people are put in situations like this character shown in this clip. The character’s uncle likely had minimal means and compounded the problem by not making arrangements for the dog when the uncle passed. It is tough but common.
Sure, still it doesn’t take a lot to put water and food out, he clearly has the means to do so. This guy is being intentionally cruel. Like Finlay said “Dog didn’t do anything to anybody, doesn’t deserve this.”
Maybe the uncle was killed by the neighbour’s cat, which always held a grudge. Then a Russian satellite knocked over the dog’s bowl and the nephew didn’t notice. Tough, but common.
Ever think that this is fiction for a reason, and then you come along telling everyone how it really is. Did it ever occur to you that most people watch this for the fiction.
Much more people should be like Reacher than less people would do shit anymore. Clarify and eliminate problems and teach the bad guys a lesson they will learn from. What a wonderful world in peace it would be. Aside from that Reacher is one coolest series around this time.
Not really. There's a reason we don't allow vigilante justice in the world, because every time someone tries it it makes things worse. People abuse the power, or get the facts wrong and attack the wrong person. It's like communism; a good idea in theory, but it never works out in real life.
Remember this is fiction, in fact the book by Lee Child that it's based on, doesn't have this dog incident in it, I believe it was put in to let people know that Reacher isn't just muscle he's also got a lot of heart. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

My sister who lived in Yorkshire noted an Aulsation/Husky cross tied up a.in a garden for weeks, starved and abused. One night she went round and took the dog home. She called me and asked me to go visit her, so I did. 2 hour drive from my home in Scotland. When I saw this poor animal I fell in love, even although she was starved and really rough looking. I put her in the car and took her home. Took a while for her to trust me, but she became my best friend. When we later had 3 kids she would become very possessive of them and would keep them safe. She lived with us for 12 years till she had a stroke and died. I just hope others would do the same, however I owe that friendship to my sister who passed away a few years ago. But to be honest, I think Sheba and my sister still keep an eye on me.

I gave my neighbors a puppy when we had too many. They were healthy and ready for homes. It was a tragic mistake tho cuz i came home from work and saw the little guy tied up to a very short leash out in the rain. He was just weaned and still a baby. I asked my wife how long he'd been out there and she barely finished saying all day before i walked over there and took him right back. Max is now Gunner and he's turning 5 this year.
Reacher: ...but sir he left the dog to die of dehydration and hunger. Judge : Have any proof of that? Reacher: ...you are calling me a liar...sir? Judge: Yes.

@user-eo1rq7fy9q A bowl being completely dry means dick. I have tons of dry bowls in my house. Mainly because they haven't been used yet.
Bottom line, the majority of humans are worthless.
@@jimedge8301It may be fiction but this sort of thing Does happen irl... and those that treat their dogs like that disgust me!
Go tell your neighbors instead of yapping your mouth on UA-cam....
@@TheSlyer8What’s with the attitude? You in favor of “worldwide distress” over “world peace”?
Not all of us are as strong as Reacher. Even though some of us want to. However, we should achieve to be strong, nonetheless.
Yet another time my comment was deleted, simply for saying that vigilantism is illegal for a reason.
3:09 Gold love it
If a person cant treat a dog well? Major red flag
Remember this is fiction, in fact the book by Lee Child that it's based on, doesn't have this dog incident in it, I believe it was put in to let people know that Reacher isn't just muscle he's also got a lot of heart. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

"To a no kill shelter" had me dead. This poor guy has 100 script writers living inside of him :(
what?
@CukaBeludao I mean: his personality is all messed up because there is no individual vision behind his character. He is an appeal to the broadest possible audience by a broad committee of writers. It makes him seem inauthentic, like a combination of all positive personalities and traits or "too noble to be true".
an ideal fantasy? You're wondering what the appeal of the ideal fantasy is? I think you described exactly WHY it works in your previous message. It's the story of and ideal fantasy character that does the stuff us flawed and not ideal real people aren't able to do. I am pretty sure in some ways that is a pretty valid archetype. Not every story should be about that but it has its niche for sure. @@michaelweber2438

Never understood why people don't like pets have them in the first place.
Wasn't this douchebag's choice, his uncle died and either left him the dog or the authorities just kinda gave the dog to him. He even said he never wanted it, apparently never even bothered to take it to a shelter.
He says in the video, uncle died and he got the dog, he didn't want him.
@Dontlagmebro I meant, why didn't he just refuse, there was nothing forcing to keep the dog. Or give to an animal shelter?
@@flukeman022 my guess is he was upset enough about his uncle's death that he was just sort of saying "yes" to everything. Including when the authorities asked him if he wanted the dog.

Hell yeah, that what I’m talking about! We need more Jack Reacher’s in our world. I met a random stranger who said they did something like that. People need to take better care of their pets.
Appreciate l the likes everyone 👍
In this series of clips, Jack reacher is definitely the asshole. He trespasses then insults the owner of the property and the only evidence he has is a dry water bowl after it's been in the sun all day. He then trespasses again and calls the law on only circumstantial evidence at best. Finally he trespasses a third time, steals the dog, and assaults the owner, why? Because he saw some blood by a visibly loose collar which he says is too tight, but then doesn't remove, instead, he removes the chain. Which wasn't even touching the dog, just clipped to the collar.

Alan is a different class of his own
I mean, excluding the fact that the dog was being abused, you’d have no choice but to lip off to a man regardless of his size if he literally trespassing on your own home property.

My dog is a dachshund pit mix. A rescue. Apparently the people didn't want him anymore, they named him ty, but I renamed him peter. After Peter Parker. The owners dropped him off at a rescue, covered in fleas, with barely any fur on his body, and I decided to make him mine. And we put best friends ever since. Having been a fan of Blue Mountain State for a decade, seeing Alan Ritchson going from Thad Castle to Jack Reacher is pretty awesome. Kudos to his acting abilities.
Anyone with just the tiniest bit of sense and empathy, at the second encounter, would have just said, "Hey, if you care about him so much - take him." I gave my neighbors a puppy when we had too many. They were healthy and ready for homes. It was a tragic mistake tho cuz i came home from work and saw the little guy tied up to a very short leash out in the rain. He was just weaned and still a baby.
