I’ve never watched this show but based on the shorts I’ve seen it seems like this show is just a big dude going around and setting small problems right and not usually in a way that includes good acting.
To be honest, people who are used to violence in their everyday life do not usually get emotional in such situations. I mean, do _you_ get emotional while taking out the trash or picking up laundry?
@@ВікторКушнір-й8оits a TV show not real life. His job is to act. Also I love the idea that a person being violent wouldn’t show some kind of emotion is considered close to reality but show a bit more emotion/anger that’s unrealistic.

@@captaindestruction9332 no, that is completely realistic. You clearly don't understand what I'm talking about and just want it to correspond to your erroneous perception of certain things. I loved this so much, definitely needs to be shown more as a reality check and brought into the light because there’s so much people who just neglect or like this guy abuse their animal. Justice for all of them.
Remember this is fiction, in fact the book by Lee Child that it's based on, doesn't have this dog incident in it, I believe it was put in to let people know that Reacher isn't just muscle he's also got a lot of heart. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@iamrocketrayI ran into this situation first hand. Two very dirty dogs that the owner never let inside the home were following me around their property and I noticed the dog bowls were empty so I filled them with water

I've never watched this show, but from the clips I've seen it looks like they took what damn near every man fantasies about. "Saving someone or something from a horrible situation"
Well, its a fantasy for a reason. And it works. Plus, theres never anything wrong with a hero story, everyone loves a hero story. The good guy wins, the bad guy loses, the good guy teaches the bad guy a lesson, preferably after completely demolishing him physically, and then all is right in the world. Everyone goes home and eats dinner with their families and then get tucked into bed with a good nights kiss. All is well.
“ . . . take the dog to a no kill shelter”. Amazing how life can appear in fiction. In my county, there is no animal shelter of any kind. The neighboring counties do have shelters but won’t accept from outside their county. Sometimes people are put in situations like this character shown in this clip. The character’s uncle likely had minimal means and compounded the problem by not making arrangements for the dog when the uncle passed. It is tough but common.
Sure, still it doesn’t take a lot to put water and food out, he clearly has the means to do so. This guy is being intentionally cruel. Like Finlay said “Dog didn’t do anything to anybody, doesn’t deserve this.”
Maybe the uncle was killed by the neighbour’s cat, which always held a grudge. Then a Russian satellite knocked over the dog’s bowl and the nephew didn’t notice. Tough, but common.
Ever think that this is fiction for a reason, and then you come along telling everyone how it really is. Did it ever occur to you that most people watch this for the fiction.
It was this scene originally that made me want to watch the whole show and I’m glad I did! ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!! Way more true to Reacher from the books than the movie version
Wasn't this douchebag's choice, his uncle died and either left him the dog or the authorities just kinda gave the dog to him. He even said he never wanted it, apparently never even bothered to take it to a shelter.
@@flukeman022 my guess is he was upset enough about his uncle's death that he was just sort of saying "yes" to everything. Including when the authorities asked him if he wanted the dog.
Much more people should be like Reacher than less people would do shit anymore. Clarify and eliminate problems and teach the bad guys a lesson they will learn from. What a wonderful world in peace it would be. Aside from that Reacher is one coolest series around this time.
Not really. There's a reason we don't allow vigilante justice in the world, because every time someone tries it it makes things worse. People abuse the power, or get the facts wrong and attack the wrong person. It's like communism; a good idea in theory, but it never works out in real life.
My dog is a dachshund pit mix. A rescue. Apparently the people didn't want him anymore, they named him ty, but I renamed him peter. After Peter Parker. The owners dropped him off at a rescue, covered in fleas, with barely any fur on his body, and I decided to make him mine. And we put best friends ever since. He grew as far back, he grew his muscles back, he turned into a little gentleman. And that's my little Peter parker. I'll never let him go. That's my best friend

I used to work at a shelter. We once had a cat surrendered to us with an embedded collar. It cut through the skin on his neck. It took weeks to recover fully. Despite that he was the sweetest cat ever, he’d walk right up to a stranger and flop onto his back asking for belly rubs. After he recovered he was adopted very quickly
about 15 years ago, a friend of mine and I were putting flyers on doors in this neighborhood. I came around the corner, and my friend was walking with this dog following behind him with a rope attached to its neck. when I knelt down to look for a collar or a tag, I realized there was no collar. Just the rope wrapped around the dogs neck and it had cut into its neck so deep it made a 2 or 3 inch hole in his neck. we took it to the nearest vet where they fixed him up. The clinic gave him the name "happy" because he was so happy. A couple of days later, my friend adopted that dog. Happy died last year. RIP Happy. (as for the owner, I went to court as a witness, but the owner never showed up. The judge issued a $500 fine and that’s all I heard about that.)
My sister who lived in Yorkshire noted an Aulsation/Husky cross tied up a.in a garden for weeks, starved and abused. One night she went round and took the dog home. She called me and asked me to go visit her, so I did. 2 hour drive from my home in Scotland. When I saw this poor animal I fell in love, even although she was starved and really rough looking. I put her in the car and took her home. Took a while for her to trust me, but she became my best friend. When we later had 3 kids she would become very possessive of them and would keep them safe. She lived with us for 12 years till she had a stroke and died. I just hope others would do the same, however I owe that friendship to my sister who passed away a few years ago. But to be honest, I think Sheba and my sister still keep an eye on me.

Something folks always forget about the action heroes they try to emulate: They are often gentle and kind people that only resort to aggression and violence when they have to.
Anyone with just the tiniest bit of sense and empathy, at the second encounter, would have just said, "Hey, if you care about him so much - take him." You have to be a proper piece of work to let the animal die by neglect when you clearly have someone who seems like they might take it off your hands - especially if you never wanted it in the first place.

Yeah, dude looks unlikable and a meat head.

If a person cant treat a dog well? Major red flag

"Saving someone or something from a horrible situation"
It is beautiful
Yes! People love that fantasy.

Bottom line, the majority of humans are worthless.
@@jimedge8301It may be fiction but this sort of thing Does happen irl... and those that treat their dogs like that disgust me!
It was this scene originally that made me want to watch the whole show and I’m glad I did! ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!! Way more true to Reacher from the books than the movie version
Tom cruise never assaulted a man for no reason.
Never understood why people don't like pets have them in the first place.
Wasn't this douchebag's choice, his uncle died and either left him the dog or the authorities just kinda gave the dog to him. He even said he never wanted it, apparently never even bothered to take it to a shelter.
He says in the video, uncle died and he got the dog, he didn't want him.
@Dontlagmebro I meant, why didn't he just refuse, there was nothing forcing to keep the dog. Or give to an animal shelter?
@@flukeman022 my guess is he was upset enough about his uncle's death that he was just sort of saying "yes" to everything. Including when the authorities asked him if he wanted the dog.

In this series of clips, Jack reacher is definitely the asshole. He trespasses then insults the owner of the property and the only evidence he has is a dry water bowl after it's been in the sun all day. He then trespasses again and calls the law on only circumstantial evidence at best. Finally he trespasses a third time, steals the dog, and assaults the owner, why? Because he saw some blood by a visibly loose collar which he says is too tight, but then doesn't remove, instead, he removes the chain. Which wasn't even touching the dog, just clipped to the collar.

about 15 years ago, a friend of mine and I were putting flyers on doors in this neighborhood.

Reacher came at him with a dog collar; he had the right to defend himself!

Anyone with just the tiniest bit of sense and empathy, at the second encounter, would have just said, "Hey, if you care about him so much - take him."
