Okay so this show is basically the power fantasy all of us have had at some point, right? Reacher going around fucking up all the kinds of people we've all wished we could fuck up. Animal abusers, child kidnappers, sex offenders, all that shit. God, I love it. This show is so fucking cathartic.

The funny thing about his character is that he is actually pretty humble and easy going. The show is written and cast well.
Reacher can be a bit brusque with people, but he's not unkind. He just doesn't have a lot to say and doesn't suffer fools gladly.
This is a show written for middle aged white losers.
And not only that, but he's also very intelligent. Bro is Sherlock Holmes on steriods
That description sums up this version of Reacher and the actor who plays him, even though they're opposites in every other respect. Reacher is humble enough to know when he needs help. Ritchson is humble enough to know that he needed help too (when he was suicidal).

I'm a person who does her best to be a loving soul...but when Reacher goes all Denzel on the kidnapper, it feels uncommonly good. ❤

Good people are logical and pragmatic... stands to reason that these are traits that may only come from being encouraged and supported by kind parents... not overly bearing: just fair. A balance in all things as that's how our organisms (all our micro-organisms) grow. Biology is rather simple if you perceive it from an evolutionary standpoint. Any other take on this is what causes a person to be dangerously unstable [believing that stealing something or hurting others is - somehow - beneficial]. However, he has a weapon and does a bad deed? Yep. Besides punching through a window (p sure that's not feasible even for his shape / no pin to concentrate the force applied); this is about how one would go about dealing with the situation.

This is the scene that got me hooked on Reacher and Alan Ritchson. Definitely one of my favorite actors now for sure

Love that he covers his arm before he punches the window, way too many shows and films have people punch or go through windows without a scratch. When realistically punching through a window will shred your arm.

Really? For decades it's been shatter-proof glass that doesn't shred your arm if it goes through it. The arm may suffer some cuts, yes, but minor, and certainly not to the point of being shredded since the idea of shatter-proof glass is to prevent the glass from breaking into sharp shards. The way the window broke with the glass shattering is not realistic - that does not happen with glass used in automobiles.

@@MisterHowzat You've got it backwards. Side window glass on a car is tempered. It's supposed to shatter into thousands of tiny pieces like this, so that it doesn't leave large sharp shards that would cut someone. The windshield on the other hand is designed to prevent debris from entering the vehicle in the event of a frontal collision, so it's made of several layers of annealed glass bonded by plastic. The glass will crack, but the plastic will keep it together and prevent large shards from flying everywhere in an accident.
When he opens the van door and says to the kid, "Hi. Wanna see your mom?" He looks like the freaking Hulk.

No only is this show incredibly cool, but it's also legit af. Like if ever your wife/friend/whoever get carjacked in the middle of nowhere, you know what to do : call Alan.

This scene just somehow feels heartwarming. And the carjacker's injuries was probably one of the least messed up after meeting Reacher.

He was hot in season 1 but I think he’s been on too much juice for this season - his face is looking puffy and he’s too muscular now, looks kind of rigid and uncomfortable. He’s a handsome guy regardless, just going a bit too far.
The amount of force required to shatter a car window with just your fist is insane. While it IS possible, yo are more likely to break your hand first before you break the window, though thats probably one of the reasons he covered his hand with the jacket.
He also hits with his elbows more than fist because it’s safer and more efficient

They are action packed, they also go deep in some moments and, when humor enters the room, it always fits and isnt cringed and feels like "forced".

This one time...At Burning Man long ago, I used to work on the setup/ teardown crew. Greatest bunch of misfits on the planet. We had this one guy, a 6'4" Marine combat veteran of Viking stock, and this other guy, who thought it was good idea to eff with him. It went a lot like this scene, right down to the head getting slammed in a car door.
..and no limp wristed wokey playing the main role, thats what makes Reacher a great watch

This scene is made much cooler by the fact that the criminals is not even using his peripheral vision to notice a big dude bearing down on him with clear intent. I know criminals are often dumb, but they really set that one up to make Reacher look like a cool man of action when really he might have just gotten shot.
