Your mantle is the shining piece in your home invoking warmth, coziness and winter cheer. A beautiful transformation from Christmas to Winter. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! And looking forward to what you have in store for us this Spring! 💙❄💙
Love winter decorations, because I live in a part of Sweden where we have a quite long and dark winter. Thank you for the lovely winter house tour. You are very gifted!
Christopher, you have an exquisite talent and eye for decorating. I am truly in awe. Your mantle greens are glorious. I love the winter forest-like look throughout. You inspire me! Thank you! 😊
Everything looks lovely. Minnesota girl here and yes, you are right. Winter will be around for awhile. I have some frosty branches and a couple of snow men along with my blooming amaryllis. Take care and stay healthy.
Off topic from this video, but I just had to tell you that my 9yr old son and I had purchased your Beatrix Percival Halloween Edition, and finished reading it around the holidays. We absolutely loved it! My son was hooked the whole time. We homeschool, so we read it as part of his literature curriculum. He was so sad for it to come to an end when we read the last chapter. Anyhow, thank you for sharing your beautiful imagination with us! ❤
Hi Christopher, It’s taken me a while to pinpoint what makes your content stand out from all the other home tours and seasonal decor videos, it’s your story telling. It’s so soothing to watch and listen to, as though we are turning pages of a book as we turn a corner in your home. I always look forward to your videos and I hope they give you as much joy to make them as it does one to behold them. ❤
The deer tin is gorgeous, I love it! I'm so happy to see that you're not decorating post-Christmas in all white, which just makes me feel colder when it's below zero outside! I've kept the warm, furry and fuzzy throws and pillow covers on in the living room and they'll be here until spring finally arrives, whenever that is. I've got a minimalist display of pine topiaries, a plate with a cardinal and pine tree on it and candles displayed on the gel fuel fireplace mantel. I put up the same cardinals in winter prints every season, and they'll stay on the walls until at least the end of March unless we're struck with a sudden super early spring and heat wave! You decorate like I wish I could, but being happy with what you have is good enough for me. Love from SE Wisconsin.
Hi Christopher, wonderful job on decor transitioning from Christmas to Winter! Your vintage taste in antiques is just too precious! Love all of the ideas and look forward to your Spring decorating!
*Love what you did here* . I prefer "seasonal" decorating and styling over anything "themey". Christmas gets a bit more added pizazz, but overall, I style for winter. I have three garlands up and enjoy the twinkle of fairy lights to elevate my mood in the evening. Spring doesn't officially arrive until March 19. Where I live in Upstate NY, we'll still be in Winter mode, but I will start a Spring re-fresh at the beginning of March. I love a lighter and soft color palette of sage green and lavender along with budding branches and adding birds into vignettes.
I decorate for winter as well and will use some of your tips. The deer tin is just gorgeous as is the mantle greenery. The snowy branches in the glass vase is a great idea. Your home is beautiful regardless of the season and your talent shines year round. 🤗🫠☃️🤩🦉
Looks like you went out and plucked that garland from the woods, very realistic touches. Love the entire winter look. The winter bird pic is my fav. Beautiful!
What a wonderful home to create your visions. I love everything about it. The beautiful windows and wooden mantels and staircase are a decorators dream.
I live in cold Wisconsin and hate winter. However, I also decorate after Christmas with frosty decor in white, silver and crystal..somehow it helps me enjoy the beauty of winter. I love the deer box from your brother. Cozy time!!!😊
Such a beautiful and cozy winter home. Love it! You've made a beautiful space to be. A couple of "winter" decor things we do is to have big snowy winter scene puzzles going, on our large island. In the evenings, we put on wonderful snowy fireplaces on the TV. I swear you can feel the heat from them, sometimes. Those two things really create a lot of cozy ambience. Thank you so much for sharing Christopher. Hoping you and Tim have a great winter. xo
The deer tin from your brother, the log cabin you had since you were a kid, and the board game are my favorites in this video, and they warm your home with memories over the harsh Winter. Good luck on winning the game!
caro christopher,in queste giornate fredde e nebbiose ,tu porti luce ,idee voglia di cambiamento nella casa !sempre con la tua finezza e il buon gusto !
Christopher I LOVE the mantle garland and other decor around your home. I have done something similar during January as I keep up my table top tree ((used this year rather than my large tree) and my older Martha Stewart side of door trees and removed all the Christmas leaving the lights to sparkle during this dark month. My decorating hasn’t reached your level but the concept resonates the same. I love to garden so since it’s too early to start the seeds for plants I grow it helps me cope with this month that I have always found left me rather sad after the joy of Christmas decorating. You INSPIRE as always! So HAPPY 😊When I see you have posted something 😃😀Be well!
Lovely and wintery warm. Like you I shop the after holiday sales. After many years I have simply run out of storage space. I used inexpensive and nondescript pine garland and fancied them up with the variety of greenery and some non themed ribbon. I did similar projects this time starting with basic pine wreaths. I've since donated them most of which went to an elder care center. They were happy to get them and I am happy to have the space.
I love your mantle Christopher, it’s so beautiful! I think I’ve mentioned before, your Johnson Bros. Friendly Village was my everyday when I got married in 1974! I still have it, although I don’t use it as everyday now. 😊
Thank you! Mine are actually reproductions of the original vintage dishes. Tim purchased them as a gift for me a few years ago (they were on Amazon). Though I love the actual vintage Friendly Village dishes, these reproductions are dishwasher & microwave safe which is nice! :)
I found those winter dishes at Home Goods several years ago. They don’t have Christmas trees or Santa so I knew if I bought them I could use them all winter! They are made by Johnson Brothers and are called The Friendly Village. Good luck finding them.
Everything looks so beautiful, I too decorate from Christmas to Winter…leaving greens and winter looking items.. thank you so much for sharing your beautiful winter decorations 💕
So nice to see a video from you today! I used to take down all of my Christmas decor and the house would look so bare. Last few years started decorating for winter too. Just a few touches in each room. And even a few things outside too. I have a sled propped up against a fence, and a snowman my husband made out of a picket from a fence on my front door. Also a small log that was made into a planter filled with artificial greens, pinecones and white sticks on my porch. Stay warm! ❄❄❄
Oh wow! You've done it again! Winter is my favorite season as I love the cold. I still have my tree up but took everything off except the lights. Left the greenery and lights on the stairs too. Was thinking just this morning of leaving the stairs as is all year round but without the Christmas stuff. Living in my tiny A Frame cottage I have no extra storage for anything so I use the same things all year round. But with your showing the really cool winter accents for a more rustic look has me thinking I need to make my place look more rustic. It already is but I want MORE! LOL
So after I put away all my little trees and garlands I found your video! Looking around at the blankness I dug into the bins and got the trees back out. Eagerly awaiting your spring video. Love the glove box❤
So cozy and inviting for the rest of winter. Your mantle is breathtaking - like something out of a fairytale. A notice of an upload from you is always exciting. Looking forward to your springtime decor - whenever mother nature gets ready for us to thaw out, lol. Hope you and yours enjoy the remainder of winter. Love from Chicagoland.
Hi Christopher, I am currently reading Beatrix Percival, and I really love it. I even read it aloud to my newborn, and he seems to really enjoy it as well.
Christopher. Your home is decorated so beautifully. It all looks amazing! You do such a great job decorating. You are so creative and talented. Thanks for sharing all your ideas! Your home is so gorgeous!!❤
I love your style Christopher!! I love the mantle but I feel the garland is overpowering for the small fireplace. I'd love to live in a Victorian home! Just beautiful!💕💕
This is a beautiful video. I love winter and it's nice to see that you celebrate it in your usual lovely style! Thank you Christopher. I love your videos!!!
I genuinely light up when I see an upload from you, Christopher, and I don't think I am unique in this.
What a treasure you are! 🤩🙏

Just so magical, as always. I love to decorate for Winter almost more than Christmas. The warm winter glow of your home is so inviting.
So wintery and cozy. Loved everything, especially the mantel.
You are able to create magic in each room of your home when you decorate them.
Lovely! Your voice is so calm! You should be the reader for winter audio books!😊
Hi Christopher! Happy 2024 💚
Everything looks lovely. Minnesota girl here and yes, you are right. Winter will be around for awhile. I have some frosty branches and a couple of snow men along with my blooming amaryllis. Take care and stay healthy.

Great job with the mantle garland! ❤️
Beautiful as always. I almost like winter decorating better than Christmas

I was so sad thinking about taking the christmas decorations off the mantle, but Christopher, thank you for this beautiful decorating idea. ❤

I completely understand that feeling - I'm in MN. It's been cold recently but looks like it should warm up for a while soon! :)
