Crochet Sweater For Beginners
In this tutorial I will teach you how to make an easy crochet sweater for beginners. If you can make a crochet granny square then you can complete this pattern. I will take you step by step through the process of creating this crochet pullover sweater.

Thank you so much for your tutorial! I made this sweater for myself last year and I got to wear it for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I got so many compliments on it, and I was so proud to be able to make my first sweater! I changed the colors and had to tweak a few things in the neckline to accommodate my size, but otherwise I followed your pattern and found it to be very easy! I wish I could share a picture with you! I am now working on my second sweater, same pattern but one solid color in a very soft forest green 😊. I finally figured out how to make a "traditional" granny square without color changes or weird gaps, so I am excited that I don't have to weave in a bunch of yarn tails this time around! 😂

I hate weaving in ends, so i try to think of way to do it while i work, lol
I had made very simple scarves and hats. Nothing larger than that and I only know chain, single and double crochet stitches. I made this sweater in 9 days and my daughter really likes it! I bought the pattern book on Etsy and can’t wait to start the next project. Thank you! 🙏 🤗💕

Love this pattern! Have crocheted for almost 50 years. Only made 1 sweater in all this time,and it was a ladies large, but turned out to be a 3X. Oops! Have been too intimidated to try again. Thank you for the lovely pattern. I also like the new sweater jacket pattern, too!

Gorgeous!!! I love the colors you chose especially that light teal color. So feminine looking!!! Your so talented and I would love to learn how to design patterns! I also love Caron simply soft yarn, love the sheen it has! Once you get past the splitting not a bad yarn at all!
Thank you. I know it splits sooooo bad, but it works up beautifully. (for similar price) Red Heart Soft has a close luster, splits less and is a little plumper. The luster isn't as good though

Thank the LORD! LOL! A WOMAN WITH REAL CURVES MAKING BEAUTIFUL WORK. Didn't bother some months ago when I searched and saw teeny tops for tiny girls. A question--as a pale sister (glow in the dark pale!) I ve course type 3b curls and ALL of the hats, berets etc on sale in shops and tutorials online I cannot get on my head. Far far too small. Even the xtra LG ones in our Highland tartan weaved store. For men! I assume this isn't an issue for myself alone. The first/last time that I made this sweater with a J-6.00 mm hook, it turned out HUGE (it must’ve been like a 3XL or something)! So I am going to try again with an I-5.5 mm hook instead ☺️👍🏻🤪
