The ultimate Air Assist 3500 Cummins Ram Suspension System

- If you’ve ever driven an air assist 3500 Ram you know they’re capable work rigs, but fall short when it comes to ride. Carli Suspension took care of that with the Air Assist 3500 pintop system to dramatically improve the ride, while still maintaining full payload and towing capacity.

your videos are bad ass. I wish I could get my truck suspension build by you guys.
Is the truck stock height?
So I’ve got a question for the pros since I’m looking to do nearly this exact build on the exact same truck. I’ve read varying opinions on putting such a wide tire on the factory rim. Can you clarify the pros and cons. Would the extra width put me in a bad spot if I end up close to my payload capacity as far as blowouts, uneven tire wear, etc?
I thought I heard but didn't see clarification anywhere. But is the factory payload maintained?
@@brianb906 Yes
I don't know why more shops don't understand these simple and functional builds. Makes you guys look like scientists.
There's only 3, Holman offroad in Texas, Strapt in Arizona, and these dudes in the LA metro.
we actually supply Carli parts to both those shops too! Woodlands in Texas is another good one.
What's the name of the shop in the woodlands?
Do you supply anyone near Tampa, St Pete, Florida?

Best looking dually to begin with. The build is just stunningly cool. Sits just right - exactly how I’d want to do one. 👍
Great...now I want a dually again even though I don't need one haha. Gorgeous truck, love it!
Sure would love to see the jet ski the owner tows with this bad boy!!
LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
Don’t clown him. You know he has at least two jet skis.
CJC installed this system on my 2019 3500 SRW in October, 2020. I have driven about 10,000 miles with it installed, and I love it! I can drive my truck as a daily driver without getting beat to death, and the ride is even better when towing my 15,000 lb 5th wheel. This will make your passengers very happy as well.
I could watch the same exact video 10 times. Super stoked theres a big player in the off-road retail and installation industry, that pushes truly innovative products.
Love the height. I'm in the process of stretching a 20 3500 mega cab dually and putting on a 8' box.
I plan on doing the same eventually.. who’s doing your box ?
I was going to put a factory 8' dually bed but ended up putting a 8'6" CM deck on it
Very sick truck! Love CJC, that’s why I bought my Thuren kit from them!
We appreciate the support!
You guys do so many nice builds... every time I pick a favorite, a new one comes along!!!
Also, is it weird that I want this one and I don't even have anything to tow? 😂🤣
just finished my build and is 100% same as in this video. 3500 ride have improved and it's all perfect. thx CJC
Usually I’m a Ford and Toyota truck type of guy, but when it comes to big Heavy Duty Diesel trucks, I would actually go Ram cuz I really love this ultimate big blacked out Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Cummins!! It’s soo cool looking and the interior is also so gorgeous as well especially for a big Heavy Duty truck!!
Just flat out freaking gorgeous.
I'll give you $20 PLUS my peanut butter and jelly sandwich (with crunchy peanut butter) for that beeeauty of a truck. Those RAM 3500s are sooo BADASS! Nice build, CJC Off Road.
You guys did an amazing job. You guys convinced me to stick with the factory 17’s and not upgrade to 20’s. Can’t believe how good it looks.
Now ride quality with the Ram 3500 Dually is already pretty good. Not sure what you mean they don’t ride good. Keep in mind this is a tow vehicle, not supposed to ride like a wagoneer..
Sticking with 17s is absolutely the way to go. You get function and form!
I have a Ram 2500 Cummins with aftermarket air ride setup that installed due to the ride quality. Now the truck rides great and stays level when hooked to my RV or gooseneck.
my favorite part is the green bay packer hitch cover :)
Hell yea GO PACK GO!!!!
Damn, that’s beautiful
Now I guess this is how it starts with Truck owners. You upgrade with one small thing? And than your hooked. I started with just adding led fog lights on my 2020 3500 Tradesman dually 8 ft bed. Now I'll be looking forward to improve my suspension with a leveling system and better shocks. Well, here we go. You guys are TOP SHELF! 🇺🇸💪🙏
That’s always how the snowball starts! haha
Everything you guys touch turns to gold! Can’t wait to get my truck into your hands!
I’d love to see an install video! Ya know when I have money to buy one of your systems or actually own a pickup!! Lol
You guys sure know how to make a great build. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Love my DODGE. Love the Black Sheep. Bad Ass.
Beautiful beast, I love dually trucks
Nice!! Wish I had that suspension set up. I have a 2020 3500 Dually Mega Cab Olive Green Pearl Hemi. After I saw your 2500 Olive Green Pearl I had to get the color when I put in my order.
Best color they offer!
I like that whells set up for the ram
Factory wheels with 37” tires!
bro this truck is lit af
Do you know if the owner of this wants to sell this truck? It's exactly what I'm ordering now. Great job!!
Can’t wait to bring my truck in this April!!
We would like a Ram Dually, and want an air ride but I'm not sure that would hold up our truck camper of 2 tons!!!
Looks absolutely badass!..
Awesome build!
I will b getting one soon... can't wait
Badass! Beautiful truck! 🤘🏻
What a Monster! ❤ this beast.
Too much tire for those rims but looks great. Black out are so bad ass. I have a blacked out 2020 Ram 1500 quad cab, next will be a 2500 or 3500 single rear wheel...blacked out of course.
Id love a truck with this set up id probably have a long bed though but everything else is on point for me
A black hexagon exhaust tip would finish this off nicely.
Awesome build
Love that he kept stock wheels.
This is my dream car
Wait, you used Carli progressive rear springs and still managed to retain the factory payload? Please confirm this! My Ram 3500 is a ranch truck through and through. If I can improve the ride quality, with a 3” lift and still maintain all factory payload and hauling capabilities…I’m Sold!!
Great looking build, just lose the Green Bay Packers license plate frame and hitch plug and you’ve got a winner! 😂
Bad ass . I just bought a 21 3500 looking to do the same
Nice build👍🏾
'whats up guys?" you tubes mandatory opening
Super clean 👌🏽... woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸
If installing this kit on a 3500 High Output, can the truck still retain its 34K LB towing capacity? Or there might be a loss? If so,how much approx. thanks in advance.
What brand spacers did you go with?
Looks amazing. How do the tires
Ride? Any vibration?
That one slick loooking truck
Super sick!
What about the rim width and the tire rim width recommendations not lining up? Ie the rim width recommendation from Toyo is 8.5 and stock Alcoa rims are only 7.5. This has to decrease payload or reduce some type of rating. Any issues with doing this? Seems like it would be unsafe
Sweet truck
Looks awesome!!
I have only one complaint.
You never shared any before pictures!!
Unless I missed them in the video I did not see them ;(
Just tag us in your pics or IG stories!
I really love it. 👍
Gawd damn boy!! 😎
Great setup. Just emailed you guys for more info
Beauty
Soooooo tham beautiful!
❤❤❤
I like the wheels...
How far outside the fender well do the tires sit? I'm thinking about doing a setup like this when I get my dually truck. Also, what brand of wheel spacers did y'all use?
If you’re going to put those exact tire size with the stock wheels. Does it need to be lifted?? For turning? I have a larmine 3500 dually 2021 and this is something I am looking for. But, not to high on the lift just enough clearance for the turning if needed on the tire size. Please help. I do tow 10,000-15,000lbs. And this something I want.
The build and truck is amazing. Not a fan of AT tires on a dually. That thing is never going off-roading.
Looks Killer!!! 🤙
Should have got a super single for that front
What’s the size of the tires? Oh and also how many inches is the lift?
It’s amazing that those tires fit on the stock tires, did the fronts need spacers? I figured they might rub the frame at full lock
No spacers on the front!
Hi Andrew. Nice video.
Hey you guys recommend a brake upgrade for the 2019 RAM 3500 Dually?
I have the same truck just not the dully, is the set up you installed the same for 4wheel? Iam looking to get started on this. Can you give me info please
Great, love it :)
Very nice build, were in the process of ordering one. Im not sure how lifting a truck and putting bigger tires can maintain payload. Seems odd to me.
Not odd at all if you use the right parts!
Does it need the 2" spacers? I want to go with pretty much the same setup. I want to lift just enough for 37s but I don't want any poke in the rear. Do you believe that 1" spacers will work?
You MUST use 2-2.5" spacers depending on the width of the tires. This isn't for looks, and simply prevents the rear tires from touching when they're both 12.5" wide.
Are those the stock wheels? If so what are the tires?
Fuckin incredibly badass looking truck
Bad ass
short bed just aint my thing special a dually shirt bed
What was the cost of this build
Well I know where I’m gonna take mine next lol
Would this set up work for the same exact truck but 2021 with out air ride?
If you could get a 3500 HO Dually to pull 40k, that would be something.
Are those wheels stock? I just bought today dually.. want that tire set.. damn sick, please reply
Those are the factory wheels! They look perfect with 37s on them.
Where are you guys located? I’m in PA and would travel 10 days to get to you guys! I want everything on this video on my truck.
We are in Long Beach, CA! You are in lick because one of our favorite east coast shops is in PA. Dirty Diesels!
How much does this build cost roughly?
Es mi sueño tener la mejor de todas está es insuperable
What was the total price for your customer after you we're done with the truck.?
Random question, have you guys considered using the the front fenders off of a ram 4500/5500 on one of your ram 3500 dually builds? I haven’t seen anyone do it yet. But I feel like it would help give the truck that really wide aggressive look, And be functional. Kinda like the f450 with a bed
We haven't but we're down to build it!
Badd ass!!
What brand spacers did you guys use or what brand do you recommend?
These are the ones we use: www.wheeladapter.com/product/dodge-ram-19-and-newer-8x200-in-between-dually-wheel-spacers
👍
I tow a 7000 pound boat and like to get Offroad every now and then when I hunt. Would you recommend 3500 or 2500 with air ride?
We’d recommend a standard 3500 actually. You have no need for the factory air with a trailer that light, and can get much better ride and off road performance without it!
How much is this lift? I have a 2020 3500 Ram Limited Mega Cab
How low will it go I need it at low as a 1500 with 4 corner air suspension .
That is a beast, could that set up work on a 2017 without factory air?
You’ll want to run this system on yours: www.cjcoffroad.com/Carli-Suspension-2013-Dodge-Ram-3500-Pintop-2-5-p/cs-dpt25-1319-d.htm
@@CJCOffRoad thx, i checked that out, and looks like the way to go with out air. I love the look on this Truck the original size wheel with 37's looks great...my eye see's the perfect tire to wheel ratio on this.
@@TjBruce817 just be carful with what tire you choose, those are a D rated tire and although the weight rating is ok? They will be squishy under load of any kind and a bit unstable….. so if you don’t tow much you are all good! There are only a few companies that are offering an E rated or Nexen F rated tire in a 37 12.5 17…. I took me 8 Nexens to get an OK? ride…..
The inner tire side wall looks really close to the leaf spring. What is your minimum recommended distance?
If it doesn’t touch then it works! These are close but they clear in all conditions.
@@CJCOffRoad Thanks for the quick reply! I just installed my American Force Independence on 35" 12.5" 20" Ridge Grapplers and its slightly touching the leaf spring. So I have been browsing comments to see what is minimum recommended. I be switching to 295/65/20 and hopefully give myself .375 clearance. '2021 Ram 3500 crew cab Laramie DRW HO'. Maybe the high-output has thicker leaf springs.
You could also try a different tire like the RT or even an all terrain with smaller side lugs. Often that's the little bit of extra room you need! For example, this exact setup clears with a Toyo RT or all terrain, but not with a Nitto Ridge Grappler.
If you used 11 1/2 wide tires instead of 12 1/2. Do you think you could get by without the spacers in the rear?
Nope! They would still be too close together.
@@CJCOffRoad damn, thanks 👍
How much would this upgrade cost
Do you have anything for a 2021 Ram 5500 with 19.5 Alcoa’s. Not looking for a HUGE lift. I use this for Hotshot and want to do larger tires as well.
FYI, that truck is Not air Ride, it’s Air Assist. Totally diffferent
Unfortunately those trucks have a pretty different suspension system under them, so there’s nothing like this available for them. And you’re 100% right on the name. Cole mis-spoke a few times in the video.
