Great looking truck! The Carli crew are top notch. Made me a custom air bag system for my lifted 2007 GMC 2500. Superior quality and great customer service..👍👍👍
What do you recommend for a 2022 Power Wagon? I’m not going rock crawling or high speed off road. I’m more conservative off road and overland and I tow a 7,000lb trailer (bumper tow). Looking to get a better ride commuting and towing. Do I need the entire Carli system or can I get away with 2.0 FOX shocks and a rear sway bar upgrade?
Sadly you'll only notice a very small improvement from just shocks. We'd recommend the Commuter or Backcountry system for your use case! www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/2019-ram-2500-powerwagon-carli-suspension-systems
It looks amazing ! That Olive Green, the Bronze Wheels and stance are perfect! What is the exact color of the wheels? Hottest 2020 I have seen so far! Can't wait to see it in night edition mode!
have you considered adding bags vs. timbrens to mitigate the reduced heavy tow/haul capacity? Commuter kit + bags seems like the best of both worlds for people who use as a daily driver and a real workhorse at times.
The 2500 platform is very limiting. With these trucks, bags ruin the ride quality since there’s so little room. We recommend only using Timbrens while towing for the 2014+ 2500 Ram trucks.
Congratulations! Your truck is epic & looks awesome in the video so I know it looks even better in real life. I'm totally in love my mine, much thanks to you fine gentlemen at CJC & Carli. I was thinking about doing night edition badges on my truck & will be looking forward to how it turns out, Im sure it will be a gead turner.
I tried to build a 2500 with the Sport/Night edition to achieve what you did on the paint scheme but it kicks me into silver.....what package did you order??
They actually handle high speed off road very well, but yes for trucks that spend 99% of their time on pavement, this commuter kit is the best ride you can get!
CJC Off Road this truck is beautiful! In New England we don’t have many high speed off-road areas. In the next year I’m either get a 2500 Cummins or the diesel gladiator, i haven’t made up my mind . I suppose i need to drive the gladiator to see if I even like it 🤷🏼♂️ If i get the Ram I’ll be contacting y’all for sure!
This is a +18 offset wheel. It currently rubs the factory sway bar and radius arms at full lock, but once we put on the Carli torsion sway bar and fabricated radius arms it won’t hit.
Beautiful truck! Hows the performance with the 38s and 3.73 gears? I have a '15 on factory tires with 3.42s, curious how it impacted your fuel mileage (I'll regear if I go to a bigger tire)
This on a 2500 or 3500? 2500 is only available with the standard output 370/850 6.7 Cummins/68rfe trans. Have to get a one ton unfortunately to get the Aisen/HO 1000FT/LB ☹️
This truck did take pinch weld trimming because of the 38’s but there’s no need if you’re doing 37s. There’s no structural issues or anything with a pinch weld trim though.
I’m currently building out a new 20’ 2500 or possibly waiting for 21 or 22. My question is, Ram offers a “off road” package. Looks like it gets shocks. If I plan on going with Carli suspension day 1 I get the truck anyway, should I avoid that package? Or is there any benefit to getting it? Love you vids. Planning to build an Olive Green mega just like you guys. Beautiful truck!
There’s lots of websites that let you calculate the change in speedo and odometer from aftermarket tires, but keep in mind you can correct for those. For GM trucks, we have to build a set up using a combo of parts from different brands. It all depends on the customer’s wants and budget.
Most likely never. For the 2014+ Ram 2500 trucks, the rear suspension design is too limiting. You can do a 6” lift, but it wouldn’t meet the performance requirements of Carli or Thuren.
can I got the 38's in a pintop level kit? i already purchased the level kit from you guys from my 22 crew cab. PS i cant wait i also got the trail ready wheels. just cant decide on tire size.
I have a 2020 cummins.2500 limited megacab with rear air ride. I'd like to know what the biggest tire i can ru on the factory suspension because I do tow allot a 30 ft bumper pull camper and a racetrack trailer and a dump trailer... I want the wheels to kick outward a to give it a little stance... what do you suggest. Or is there a suspension kit that can improve towing and capacity??
That's a nice looking truck!, I have a question, if you are comparing a Ram 2500 5th Gen with a Carli Suspension vs a Ram 1500 5th Gen with Stock Suspension no Air ride, in terms if ride quality and nothing else which one rides better? I know a 2500 is a hd truck but damn for me any hd truck looks better than 1/2 ton truck.
The 1500 will always ride better because it can have softer suspension. If you’re just city driving without towing and want the softest ride, go for a 1500.
It isn’t nose high at all actually-it sits perfectly level. If you want rake, you can always sub in a 2.5 set up in the front. Give us a call and we can help you out!
All shocks have a lifespan. On higher end shocks like these, you can re-build them rather than having to replace them. On lower end shocks like Bilstein 5100s you have to replace the whole shock.
Very nice the Mega looks awesome I have the same truck but in the night edition, can you measure from the ground to the height above the top of your tire to the bottom of your wheel well? I would like to know the height it is now? my truck as is sits is 40 1/4" high W/O a lift. What is yours? Thanks
I commute in the oil patch. Normally decent roads and sometimes heavy mud and super bad roads in northern Canada. Would this system be alright for a 2010 2500 Ram diesel? Or would you recommend something beefier? Thanks
This system would get you by, but it sounds like you might be slightly better off with the Back Country. The nice thing is that the basic parts are all the same, so changing or upgrading shocks is easy!
How are the MPGs with that set up? I have a 2019 2500 still stock and wanted to know how much I would expect to lose. Currently averaging 17-18 mpgs mixed city and highway.
plan on getting that 3.25 pintop. if i want to upgrade to the dominator later can i do that and what would i need to get. also what gears do you recommend running 37in tires on a 2020 ram 2500 diesel?
You just need the dominator shock upgrade package that’s listed on our website! We recommend either staying with the factory gears, or doing 4.10-4.56 range.
We already have a trimming video for the Ram trucks! These 2019+ trucks take the exact same trimming procedure. If you want to run 38’s, you just need to remove a significant portion of the pinch weld. Every tire brand will be slightly different, so just drive the truck snd trim as needed to clear.
Yeah there’s sadly not a formula since it all depends on your wheel and tire choices. Basically just expect to take off a significant portion of the pinch weld and the bottom of the liner and fender flare. We like to unbolt that black plastic piece from the flare and leave it off.
Great content...at first I was unsure of the green..but wow, looks awesome with those wheels. I will get a hold of you once the Carli gas spring /shock package becomes available for the 7.3 Ford. I want the same wheels, which I think will look ok with the Iconic silver color for my truck. I think Ill go with the 37 12.5 20 vs the 38's. Thanks for the informative vids, looking forward to the next upgrade..
Any recommendations for a 16 RAM 3500 DRW, I know it's a dually but any kit that can help it ride better than a wagon? Still need my payload because I pull a fifth wheel. I don't want to run bigger tires, just want a better ride quality.
Badass truck man. Currently looking at getting a new Ram diesel. Been going back and forth between a 2500/3500. Test drove a 3500 but the ride was a little too stiff for my liking compared to the 2500. Do you think this setup on a 3500 would improve the ride quality enough so I’m not feeling every bump in the road? First time viewer and just subscribed! Great video! Can’t wait to see how you spec out this truck!
We actually just talked about this in our latest Q&A video going live shortly! Yes, there are some massive improvements available for the 3500 trucks. It all comes down to how much and how often you plan on hauling.
Question for anyone that is an expert in this area. Is there anyway to upgrade/increase the payload of a RAM 2500 Cummins? Currently the max payload is 2,100 lbs. I fully understand air suspension does not increase payload. I'm not trying to get 4,000 payload but 2,800 would be great.

@@CJCOffRoad i definitly would be interested in the 3.5 Carli lift. Hope to hear more about it once its completed.
Did you guys re-gear with the 38s?? Gorgeous rig!
Not yet, we’re seeing how the truck does and being the test case for everyone else haha
I thought the Commuter Kit was only a 2" lift?
Nope it’s the same base parts as all the other 3.25” systems!
@@CJCOffRoad Can you get the Commuter Kit in 2" for a 2017 F250 ?
It’s offered in a 2.5” for 17+ Ford trucks!
It is nice to see a truck that’s not black, white, or silver.
