Hi Andrew, I've seen a couple of videos previewing your new lights with the halo but why have it in an amber light? You are showing amber lights to the front, this is exactly why people are replacing their directional indicator lights with the likes of Weiser. If a car gives a fleeting glance and only has a view of one side it can be interpreted as you are about to turn. Regards Jay
Correct, the DRL ring can be off, white or amber. Amber, its for visibility, white light is more common and not so attention catching. Amber "pops" a lot!
Having a full street legal light like this is revolutionary, considering that it will probably work with ezcan or similar controllers. Will you be making also custom brackets?
Yes, with brackets! we only have a few for now, but will keep pushing new parts out. The MotoLights come with a set of bar clamps so it will fit any crash bar 22-25mm
Thanks for description and well informativ introduction! For Germany "TÜV ist Processing"! Do you have any information about that time-scdule? Kind regards from germany, Georg
The thing I'm wondering though: Why is a company mostly focused on bags/tents or other non-electrical accessories, now entering the lights department and can ensure good build quality? Don't get me wrong, I'm a customer and I have the pannier bags, but do see some design flaws that Mosko moto has tackled. I'm not sure if Lone Rider is going too wild with more and more products instead of perfecting their base products.
Yes we can ensure excellent build quality, and also innovative functionality. We have experts and leaders in all fields that worked the light. Lens optics, LED tech, heatsync and electronics, manufacturing and software also to name a few. As for the improvements on the luggage, please let me know the issues! We are always pushing updates and your feedback is key! 💪
@@LONERIDERMoto The feedback: - Panniers are sold as being adjustable to a lot of bikes, but only provide pannier rack dimensions. That doesn't take into account the position of the bag to the exhaust. I had to drill extra holes into the backplate to make sure there was some space left. So: continue testing on multiple bikes and provide advice what pannier racks to buy (and add extra holes on the backplate) - Continuing on the previous: too much focus on BMW. Have some love for a lot of the other brands. - Empty weight of the bag + backplate is a lot. Carrying them with more weight in it is uncomfortable, it actually hurts your lags during walking. A shoulder band is provided but a lot of hassle to tuck away. Could choose to leave the outer bags to the bike and take the inner bags out, but that only works good for hotel rooms, for camping you want maximum water proof. Not always can the bike be parked next to your tent (unfortunately more and more camping grounds want it separate). Would recommend somehow keeping more of the backplate to the pannier. - Taking the inner bag out and later putting it in again is a pain, mostly due the outer bag being bulky and thus hard to close eventually. Which also leads me to the following: closing it (folding and snapping it into the tiny hole) is becoming easier the longer you do it but if you think of trying to add 'to much' it quickly becomes hard to close it. In this case I'm talking about adding 'to much' below the folding line but adding more stuff to the sides which makes it bulky. - Should be a way to keep the inner bag strapped to the outer bag when it's inside. So that you don't have to continuously open 2 bags and close 2 bags. - it's more of a hassle to adjust the backplate to a different pannier rack then was shown in the video. Mainly because you think it's all good but then the locking mechanism didn't close. I currently have the issue that I always need to lift 1 bag a little bit up to lock it. Obviously fixing it means taking the whole bag of the backplate again. Compared to Mosko Moto, a lot harder. - I once scratched a pole at low speed. The bag seemed to correctly compress a bit and then god past it. But unfortunately that bended the backplate a bit. I now assume the bags + backplate are only capable of handling falling left or right without moving forward in order for it not to break - so far the 'rugged bags'. - The metal parts are sharp, it already damaged my pannier racks. I currently have taped wrapped around the contact points in order to avoid damages (which I have to remew every now and then). I love the locking (piece of mind leaving it behind), the spacious bags, the looks, the waterproofness, the molly panels, etc. It has a lot of great things but compared to Mosko Moto just not perfect. Hate it that my girlfriend is quicker in everything during packing, attaching and carrying :) Let me know when I can test the updates ;)
