Even though I love advanced step aerobics, I get so much out of doing slower, basic workouts. I’m able to use risers & make my arm movements bigger, which makes me work just as hard if not harder than if I were doing a faster routine. So thankful for all your step workouts!!

It's been years since I did Step. I'm in my 60's and wanted something to get my heartrate up but also not be too confusing to do. Excellent cueing! SO easy to follow along and I broke a sweat - always a good indication. Thank you!!

For anyone coming to this video worried about getting started - don't! I had to take breaks after every 6 minutes when I first started, and only managed like half the moves but it gets easier the more you do it and you get fitter and being healthier has a positive impact on every other aspect of your life! 2 months later and I am on intermediate 😉 I still don't get every move but I am close enough 🤣

The choreography is always so fun! I love how it’s very dance-y. All of the repetition helps me follow along and keep moving without getting lost. Even when you’re repeating the same move, you combine different sections of the routine to keep our brains working hard and our bodies always guessing about what move is coming next!

I just got back into it and your classes are so easy to follow and my memory of the move names came back quickly. If you are a beginner Chris is a great person to teach you. @@heatherstinson3348 I was doing it Mon thru Friday. I would wake up an hour earlier each morning. Unfortunately, I tore a tendon at my elbow from the repetitive movement. Had surgery and I’m all good now. I’m going to start again but change my schedule to every other day. I hope to take a live class one day soon. I highly recommend her videos. So many workouts and levels to choose from. 😊

Just found this one. Done the 127bpm basic for a few weeks until I felt secure in the moves. This one 128 was another great one. Giving me the confidence to keep going. ❤

I cant believe it was almost 4 months ago I did my first basic step with you. Although this still gets me sweating I can really se what progress I have made. Here I am trying out advanced and doing OK. Also, was out running Friday and for the first time since starting running last September my legs did not restrict me at all! I am really getting stronger!

@@heatherstinson3348 I was doing it Mon thru Friday. I would wake up an hour earlier each morning. Unfortunately, I tore a tendon at my elbow from the repetitive movement. Had surgery and I’m all good now. I’m going to start again but change my schedule to every other day. I hope to take a live class one day soon. I highly recommend her videos. So many workouts and levels to choose from. 😊

@@heatherstinson3348 yes, I was sweating and burning calories. I do need to add strength training. I’m 56 years old now and was trying to move like I was 28 again. Lol! I changed my diet while I wasn’t able to work out so I am able to maintain. But since you replied to my message, you gave me inspiration to turn back on CDorner videos. 😁

Great basic step work out! I rarely use double risers but I did for this because of the slower pace and my heart rate was skyrocketing!! 🙏❤️

I cant believe it was almost 4 months ago I did my first basic step with you. Although this still gets me sweating I can really se what progress I have made. Here I am trying out advanced and doing OK. Also, was out running Friday and for the first time since starting running last September my legs did not restrict me at all! I am really getting stronger!
