Thanks Physionic. I've been attempting to treat my mothers dementia for the last 6 years. This sort of content really helps open up new potential avenues of research and treatment that I can go down. It's very much appreciated.
Have you checked out the Bright Focus Foundation? They keep up with & fund research. They also include an easy way to find clinical studies to participate in if that interests you. Also, Cognitive Vitality has pulled together research & rated interventions including drugs, supplements, etc. for their effects on Alzheimer's & dementia. This was developed by the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation. Good luck!
I appreciate your humor in both the measure of its subtlety and the, at times, unpredictability of its arrival. Regarding your video(s): I'm not here for the overwhelming, clickbait, highly contrasted thumbnail magnets that are almost everywhere on the 'tube. ||| I'm here for your content, your delivery and the detailed information I glean from it all. Please continue your exquisite work I intend to join Physionic Insiders at some point nearing the future.
Klotho along with Foxo were discovered fairly recently by a French lab from Lakesis, amd oil derived from the resin of the ancient mastic trees on the Greek island of Chios. Lakesis, when used topically, has anti-aging characteristics for the skin. With daily use, in 28 days the fibroblasts of a 57 year old returned to the same condition as a 34 year old. There is just one skincare product in North america I know of using this ( Mastic by VivaLaCara) . Very interesting to find it's other properties.
Cognitive decline is one of the most insidious diseases. Any serious research into slowing or preventing it is important, and I appreciate you covering it.
That was fun, do it again! :). If I'm not mistaken, there are studies (I don't know how good those studies are) that also show calorie restriction paired with high protein diets can increase klotho as well.
Man this was very interesting and Not as difficult to follow compared with Other Uploads you did . Luckyly we are Not at one of These " Guru Channels" where we seek sensations and "Groundbreaking" Data all the time. You explain the Data and i try to follow.. Greetings Tobias
I only have an MBA and didn't have any issues understanding it. Probably due to the lovely and snarky comments/asides. Even if you were painfully difficult to listen to, I'd soldier through it since I have a strong family history of dementia. Funny how exercise seems to always have a beneficial effect.
I think an important point that’s missing from the video is how does platelet activation by Klotho improve cognitive ability? Like what’s THAT mechanism? Is it actually an effect of platelet factor 4 and signaling that comes downstream of Klotho? Would increasing platelet factor 4 in the brain independently of Klotho have the same effect?
I know someone who is 4/4 and doesn’t have the helpful kllotho gene mutation. Sending this video so he does more resistance training. Great and helpful video!
One of the best "cognitive preserved" seniors I know is a lifelong power lifter - Jan Luka. He is 75 yo now, still lifts and coaches people and talking to him is as good as it was 20 years ago - it was when I first met him and started training with him.
Sounds promising, though for now, seems we only have access to a “maybe-boost” from behavioral effects. I’ve known for a dozen+ years I have one marker for the big A and watched my mom die twice with it. Bits of hope: always been an avid learner and have been doing resistance training (lifting) since I was 16. I’m nearly 58 now and no lie, still look as buff as you, Phys and have even retained my glutes. 😊 All natty. But, the big unknown always lingers. It sucks.
Stuff you'll never get from your doctor! Until it's too late. Nice work. Tell the people who don't want to think while watching to pay attention. There is likely some beneficial effect.
🤣 This was a great video and should not "Tank". I love the deeper level discussion regardless of my understanding it all or not. Not understanding or getting lost only means one has to "rewatch" the video and perhaps do a little research.
Thanks for the great video! Would really like to see you go over the numerous studies on AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) and tell us what the verdict is on that supplement. Wondering if you've ever heard of it? Check it out. 🙂
Let me see so exercise some times intensively, eat real food especially those most colorful, sleep well, and don't stress out.. No need for any health channel or understanding Klotho 😊
I'd argue that exercise together with listening to your podcasts are optimising Klotho levels, which means that right now my Klotho is through the roof... or skull 😂 thanks for the video!
I have one APOE4 allele and is a homozygous KL-VS individual, and other "less than ideal" genes in terms of neurodegenerative disease aaand I sleep bad! I am, as the kids say, cooked
Ok excuse me. Most videos on any topic belabor the obvious with massive ti e-wasting like “What is oxygen and why do we need it? Oxygen is a gas…”. Then we have this one. What the heck is klotho?? I read a lot and have never heard of it. Rhetorical as I am off to google it.
I don't care if this doesn't have mainstream appeal, this is why I subscribe, deep diving into some novel biochemical substances. Colour me intrigued.
Same.. 💞

Danke Popel, das macht mich froh!

When I hear Klotho, I think of an alien from a distant planet.
That’s Klaatu.
Marvel villain.
Me too!
When I read Matsubara, I think about...
Klotho Barada Nicto
Here for the information - keep cranking it out!

Klotho, coming to a theater near you
Kloto is gold!! On a serious note, your releases are consistently good 👍👍👍 and no it was not too complex for me, and i do appreciate the rigor 😊😊😊
Thanks, good to know!
Commenting and sharing and liking just for your algorithm
I appreciate you
Thanks James :)
@ you’ll be on Joe Rogan in no time!
Cognitive decline is one of the most insidious diseases. Any serious research into slowing or preventing it is important, and I appreciate you covering it.
So many variables in ppls lives /genes that could have affect. The brain is the final frontier IMO.
That was fun, do it again! :). If I'm not mistaken, there are studies (I don't know how good those studies are) that also show calorie restriction paired with high protein diets can increase klotho as well.
Thank you, access to information like this is important for me and my family.
Great Work, 😊

Thanks doc
My dad and Gmother has Alzheimers.
I'm definitely happy you covered this!
At 10:00 is some really good info
I think an important point that’s missing from the video is how does platelet activation by Klotho improve cognitive ability? Like what’s THAT mechanism? Is it actually an effect of platelet factor 4 and signaling that comes downstream of Klotho? Would increasing platelet factor 4 in the brain independently of Klotho have the same effect?
Thank you! Always fascinating with a sprinkle of humor. Love your videos.
Great info! Thanks for the detailed explanation 🙏🏼
Really interesting, thank you
This is an important topic, especially for those with the APOE 3/4 or 4/4
I know someone who is 4/4 and doesn’t have the helpful kllotho gene mutation. Sending this video so he does more resistance training. Great and helpful video!
As Always. Great work Nic!
Fantastic! Now I am fully armed for 'Cocktail Party Conversation' where I can sound like I know sh&t!
😂
Thank you for sharing this information Physionic. Excellent video 👍💪
Glad it was helpful!
Love you brother! Soooo funny! 😂
Take that deep dive, go for it!
Thanks for another great video :) One more reason to keep my exercise going on and not breaking the cycle :)
Hot damn. Got a degree in biology and this is the first time hearing about klotho
You can’t know everything . I have degree in biology, in pharmacy , ms in clinical nutrition and ms in clinical pharmacy. Still here… learning
Well alrighty!!! Good video!!! Excellent takeaway!!!
Glad you liked it!
Great stuff!
Commenting just to help out with engagement. Hello folks, what a great video.
I might not care about klotho but I care about dementia. My mom died from it when she wasn't even 70.
Here's a comment to help with the algorithms. Love your work, Nic.
Thanks for that!
Exercise fixes everything!!!!
Just keep lifting heavy things. AKA stressing the body.
I am Apoe4 +
Hoping for some sort of intervention in the next years. Klotho sounds promising, thanks for this info!
Thanks again for the excellent content! This is why I watch your channel, versus the algorithm chasing clickbait crowd.

Fascinating. Thanks for making complex research accessible. Now I am going to go and try and make me some Klotho.
You do that :)
Sounds promising, though for now, seems we only have access to a “maybe-boost” from behavioral effects. Nice 🙏🏻
I come for the nerd humor but stay for the snark. Klotho is a bonus.
😂
Does a relationship exist between creatine supplementation and klotho?
No science on that as far as I'm aware
What is Klotho? A new Christmas present?
is there another way to enhance it for individuals who cannot do resistance training?
Pretty straightforward. More depth and detail!
I bet if we renamed it "Brain Enhancement Factor Alpha" it would get more interest. Wasn't Klotho an abstract expressionist painter?
If only :-P
Rothko.
@gracecarter7575 It was joke.
@ and a good one!
Stuff you'll never get from your doctor! Until it's too late. Nice work. Tell the people who don't want to think while watching to pay attention. There is likely some beneficial effect.
I don't want to think but I habitually think and it's hard to stop.
I tell myself to put it down and back away.
🤣 This was a great video and should not "Tank". I love the deeper level discussion regardless of my understanding it all or not. Not understanding or getting lost only means one has to "rewatch" the video and perhaps do a little research.
So are there any precursors to klotho that maybe we can supplement? Also, does it improve or reverse the effects of dementia or just prevents it?
Thanks for the great video! Would really like to see you go over the numerous studies on AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) and tell us what the verdict is on that supplement. Wondering if you've ever heard of it? Check it out. 🙂
Let me see so exercise some times intensively, eat real food especially those most colorful, sleep well, and don't stress out.. No need for any health channel or understanding Klotho 😊
I know that atomexatine is great for dealing with ADHD, but I don’t know which proteins it blocks. Does it contribute to or help prevent Alzheimer’s?
So you did a 12 min video to tell me to exercise ?
Thank you :)
An excellent video. If only it could be a little bit more in depth XD.
I view all Physio-Nics.
Awesome. I clicked because you said increase Klotho 😊
I'd argue that exercise together with listening to your podcasts are optimising Klotho levels, which means that right now my Klotho is through the roof... or skull 😂 thanks for the video!
Haha, no evidence of the latter :) I can hope!
@Physionic well, there's a draft, but it helps with body temperature regulation :)))) happy holidays, btw ❤️
There is no word for thank you in Dothraki.
But there is a word for Klotho.
It's Klotho.
It's the same word.
Good one 😂
commenting to help
I subscribe because I want to see the numbers! 🙂
Commenting to support the complexity!
Thanks!
So. Exercise is probably good.
Eliquis reduces factor 4
Should i stop taking that?
Today is a good day... to be an Insider.
Hehe :)
Maybe totally unrelated, but does this imply any cognitive effects of anti platelet medication?
hahaha Love the intro. Keep ignoring all that bull Nick. You’ll fly high in any case ❤👌
Thanks Henrik! :)
So exercise
Wow - Mighty Mouse! Seduction before, during or after the chess game? Mate or mating
I love Klotho.
I have one APOE4 allele and is a homozygous KL-VS individual, and other "less than ideal" genes in terms of neurodegenerative disease aaand I sleep bad! I am, as the kids say, cooked
Which test did u use.. my dad had Alzheimer's.. lived to 92, tu 🙏💞🎄
It’s not too complicated! ITS TOO EASY TO UNDERSTAND!! MAKE IT MORE COMPLICATED! 😂
Klotho is a new term for me. Ah, a gene thing.
I'm just here for the neuroprotective clickbait. I see "neuroprotective" in the title, and I click.
I never heard of klotho.
Now you have :)
Wasn't Klotho the sequel to Chronos?
Release the Klotho !
Lachesis and Atropos really quiet all of a sudden
Exercise! Why does it always have to be exercise!
Not detailed enough for me ... Keep it up!!
When i hear Klotho, i think of a greek goddess
It was named after that, in fact!
I can't wait until Joe Rogan tries Klotho so I can get the bro take on this...
😂😂😂
Wasn't he in The Day The Earth Still? Oh wait, no, that was Klatuu! 😉
This is too complicated, just tell me where I can buy klotho pills
Ok excuse me. Most videos on any topic belabor the obvious with massive ti e-wasting like “What is oxygen and why do we need it? Oxygen is a gas…”. Then we have this one. What the heck is klotho?? I read a lot and have never heard of it. Rhetorical as I am off to google it.
Klotho wasn't that a character in the MCU ??
Carpe Scientia
I care about Klotho.
Klotho barada nikto..
I have 1 copy of apoe4 I lift weights..
This is too complicated.
Do this channel right, algorithm.
🤞🏻
