- Galway Music Residency's '3 Kinds of Music' Digital Pop-up Festival kicks off with a toe-tapping set by sean nós dancer Emma O’Sullivan with Shane Fahy (guitar and voice) and Ronan Flaherty (fiddle) on Friday.
This digital version of the renowned multi-genre series, curated by Matthew Berrill, takes place on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August 2021 and will feature some of Ireland’s best emerging and established musicians in pop-up gigs throughout the weekend.
The festival continues on Saturday, with a performance by our resident ensemble ConTempo Quartet with cellist Aoife Burke who perform a lively Boccherini quintet. The weekend will conclude on Sunday with a moving performance by Galway Artist Niamh Regan who will be joined by ConTempo Quartet, Aoife Burke and Matthew Berrill for a stunning finale.
The performances, which were filmed in The Mick Lally Theatre by Salty Productions will be available to enjoy for free on Facebook and UA-cam at 1pm each day. Donations welcome over on our Facebook page or website.
Galway Music Residency is proudly supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, NUI Galway (Education Partner), and Galway City and County Councils. For further information, visit www.galwaymusicresidency.ie.
Emma, you so rich in Irish dance, history and ancestry. It all comes out of your pores. It is an experience to watch you dance and to watch and listen to you speak about the subject.
Emma..your dancing has so much grace…
Congratulations Emma! You are a true legend and you keep the tradition alive! Proud of you!
I wish all people were like her.
She is the best dancing bird I've seen! My eyes cries but my heart smile!
Emma is like a breath of fresh air, she wears her talent so lightly! May she dance forever!
Very charming lass, I like the commitment to keeping the Irish culture alive. It is getting much more difficult these days.
Emma is the loveliest dancer of them all.

Muito legal, este tipo de apresentação........
If a butterfly could dance, it would be called an Emma. These two excellent musicians merit some closer camera-work.
Exquisite.
Fantastic. Love your talent amd enthusiasm Emma. This music and your skill call to me. Is there such a thing as genetic memory?

No! MEI
You're all too late.
I never did like the sound of the fiddle… But those dance moves are really well practiced and perfected.
😁🤓👌
Yes she dances well, but the simple fact remains that 16bluesherbert90 is the most adorable and beautiful of all the women ❤.
mostrar los pies que, no se ve ni un primer plano de ellos, es donde esta el arte
Iontach ar fad!
Too much of the blokes at such wide angle with wasted screen space! Real waste and crap that!
Not nearly enough of Emma dancing!!!
Музыка такая, будто кота за хвост тянут...
