When I was 48 I went through severe panic attacks which led to a season of healing from my parents divorce as a child. It was extreme fear that had been suppressed. The Lord came to me in dreams and told me audibly in a dream that I needed to write the word in the tablet of my heart. That is what brought me out of that very dark season and helped me renew my mind. I agree with most of what she’s saying but I cannot discount the use of scripture in healing because that’s what he told me to do and it’s what changed me.

I promise what she’s is saying is nothing but truth I’m fixing my mind right now and I’m listening to this sitting in my doctor’s parking lot blood pressure out of whack anxiety attack I can control and feels like my body is constantly having one, I’m renewing my mind and doing what I need to help my body get back on track but I’ve been under constant stress fight or flight mode for about 13 years but I’m fixing it
This is an answered prayer. So many Christian’s don’t go to church because they feel so horribly convicted, they hear the messages but don’t know how . Thank you for teaching, tellling us in love , salt and light “ the how to live Jesus, the how to be human and of Christ and renew our minds in love , mercy and grace “

This has been very informative- especially the need to push thru the difficulty of depression- I believe we have put out pharmaceuticals as the fix for situations where little is gained but perhaps getting people to function more like robots vs working to real healing. Thoughts??
Thank you for your honesty and assurance about mental illness. There needs to be more awareness of this and Dr. Caroline is wonderfully reassuring with her explanations and understanding of this . I am really glad I heard this and reassured that it is very normal and it can be dealt with in a positive way.

Truly there is much guilt, shame, condemnation brought by the religious teaching of ‘original sin’ or believing one is born a ‘sinner’. Nothing could be farther from the truth. (Religion needs returning customers hence THAT teaching). Before ‘original sin’ there is/was & always will be ORIGINAL GRACE. We were forgiven BEFORE we ever messed up. We were found in Christ BEFORE we were ever lost in Adam. Seeing oneself made in the IMAGE & LIKENESS of God is one’s ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT. I encourage everyone to read the Mirror Translation by Francois DuToit which expounds this well in the original Septuagint. Katie Skurja of Imago Dei Ministries teaches incredible ‘identity’ course here on UA-cam.
How do you change how you see it
What happens when you get in the garden but have no one to be with you? When you ask just like Jesus did, “Just be with me”. But no one wants to? What can you do?
Renee: You are with you, and the Spirit of God is with you. Jesus was abandoned by His deciples and ultimately His Heavenly Father turned away as God is holy and cannot look upon sin, but it was momentarily.
Jesus Christ said he would not leave us comfortless,, but would send the Holy Spirit to be with us. If you haven't already, you can ask Jesus that you want the Holy Spirit, and He will come and dwell in your heart and change you.
Then we can take our burdens to the cross. That's why Jesus Christ came. To redeem us! Take one issue that needs dealt with and bring it to the cross. Leave it there, then thank him for taking it, the praise him for taking it, then worship him for taking it. Do that for a 63 day period. You will be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Christ Jesus!

As the empathic persons that we are, we are as traumatized as the narcissistic person we attached to. We just didn't hide behind a mask and let negative energy / negative influence cause us to become like the ones that abused us. And yes, I've forgiven, but I will no subjugate myself to their demons!
I too am having to learn the lessons necessary to heal and not fall into the same trap with someone else that's narcissistic!
Something that will help you, is to look yourself in the mirror at least once a day if not every time you look into a mirror, ans tell yourself that you love yourself. You need to look out for the wounded little girl within. If you're not looking out for the wounded child within, then you'll surely look for validation through someone else, and everytime they'll let you down at the least, or take advantage of you such as another narcissist!

I've quit worrying about what other people think of me. I'm not going by other people's opinions anymore and feeling like I'm not good enough!
God created me and loves me.
Once I love myself then I'll be able to love other properly.

@carlyd2300 I'm certainly still working on this myself. But I see it for what it is. 🤷 We chose identifying with our caregiver / abuser (Stockholm syndrome) instead of hating and becoming like the narcissistic abuser. On the other hand, the abused child, even in the same family, can hate their caregiver / abuser, and it opens them up to becoming the very thing that they hate. This opens the door to pass on the " generational curse." Subconsciously, we're drawn to what was familiar to us as 95 % of our thinking is subconscious. It takes a lot of work on our part to change the pattern once it's identified. I will say both the narcissist and the empath don't feel worthy, but it was all in the approach.
As people pleasers, we're looking for validation through others, making us codependent. The only way to break this is to love yourself first! This is a strange concept for an empath, who's always put others first. Change is uncomfortable, to be sure, but necessary to order to grow. You'll know you're healed when you become enough, and don't need another to "complete you." We're actually the ones looking in the mirror, falling in love with our reflection and never obtaining love ( because it isn't real from the narcissist)i, then being betrayed.
Yes, validate yourself. You're a beautiful person! Be kind to yourself, then your boarders will be strong 💪 ✨️ as you've gone back to rescue the inner child that was never validated.

I really could of used this information but she talked so fast I couldn’t understand or retain any of it. Also all the science talk was to hard to follow.
The devil, satan is a real entity a fallen angel. And yes we have choices however the very real devil is allowed to tempt us and in that we have a choice goodness or evil which is negative , a sin!

In the name of Jesus Christ, Every knee will bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. He is the only true God. You must believe Jesus is God incarnate to live with Him eternally. How? Confess your sins & believe Jesus came to this earth and died for your sins, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. But you must believe & trust His Holy Word (Jesus-He is the Word) and be saved. He is the WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. I pray you will open a Bible not the Koran and ask the true God to reveal himself to you. He will if you mean it.
Caroline, i have been one who has been very happily influenced by your research, BUT I disagree with your theology. The “fear of death”, the devil’s power, has been defeated. He is still tempting people to be “fearful”. Those “in Christ”, have the Truth which protects them from entertaining the Devil’s lies or temptations. Truth protects LOVE, through HIS children who keep HIS love alive, and serve others with His love. Truth is the greatest need OVER love. If you are led by the Truth of God, in His Word, you WILL LEARN/KNOW HIS LOVE. So, we challenge the lies and set them against TRUTH, “Take every thought captive to the TRUTH”. The Garden was an example of Jesus being tempted by the lie that He should protect His body, and NOT FOLLOW THROUGH with what God asked Him to do. The spiritual battle between being controlled by the “flesh” vs being controlled by the “Spirit”, is a constant battle for Christians as long as they have a Physical body/“flesh”. It does get better because you subject yourself to learning TRUTH, because the TRUTH sets you free from the lies that lead to death. That’s why, “the wages of sin is death”. Sin comes from being more influenced by deception/lies than by the TRUTH. Living in TRUTH leads to a healthy life…”abundant life”. Unfortunately, anxiety is all about believing the wrong thing or “lies”. Truth leads to “peace”, and Jesus said, “i give you my “peace”,which comes from having “faith” in what He says is TRUE.He has loved us so much that He teaches us Truth when we have fallen down, so that we will learn how to avoid lies and do not repeat actions that hurt us. We need to learn that trying to “ACT LIKE WE ARE FINE” is NOT HELPFUL, and keeps us in the lies, and away from facing the truth that WILL set us free from the problem, and LIFE ABUNDANT. Caroline , Push knowing the TRUTH. You will come to love Jesus even more for the TRUTH, which He said that He IS..God bless you.
