The Laser Watch from Brosnan's era is my personal favourite, mainly due to the fact that he actually uses it for all four of his films, and it isn't just there for a Deus Ex Machina or a throwaway gag

This compilation is just excelent, as a die hard Bond fan let me tell you every gadget is here, very very nice job you made here! Hopefully you'll add Spectre soon.
Man what happened to James Bond. It started in Dr. No without any gadgets, and by the time Brosnan came around, there wasn't a single scene without gadgets. I think Goldfinger is the best Bond movie of all time since it had the perfect blend of realistic, yet badass gadgets.
I hope future Bond films bring back the gadgets. While I didn't like that Craig's films had little gadgets, it made sense because it's supposed to be modern and realistic. Why have a bunch of gadgets when you can have a smartphone that does everything? :P The problem with that though was that one of the things that makes James Bond stand out from other Spy films was the gadgets! While some looked silly it was cool that Bond would have these devices that did a bunch of cool spy stuff like having a car that could have guns or spit out oil to help in a car chase. At times Daniel Craig felt more like a generic spy than James Bond in my opinion because the lack of gadgets made him feel less unique. I enjoyed his films but I want to see a Bond that uses gadgets again. I don't care if it's over the top like that Invisible Car in Die Another Day at least it's something cool that normal cars can't do and would be really helpful in a stealth mission.
What makes even less sense to me is that movies like Mission: Impossible keep a fairly high gadget count and still make pretty good films in the end. A smartphone is a versatile device that Q could do a lot with. I think the fear is that it might get stale fast if Bond just has a magic phone like the Doctor has his sonic screwdriver. What bothers me is Craig's Bond's self reliance makes him look a little too durable in my eyes to the point of being a superhuman, and I feel that the silliness of the gadgets is replaced with Bond being a little too physically out-there in order to make up for their absence; having the ability to shoot a helicopter down with a pistol, blow up a SPECTRE base in a minute and ten seconds flat, and his cowboy tactics/antics (tantics?) of blowing up embassies and smashing through cars arguably before he has the chance to properly use them are much sillier to me than the Vanquish or the avalanche jacket ever were. I guess the bomb in the watch is Spectre's attempt at introducing gadgets that can be applied to a variety of situations instead of being the exact right fit in the situational hole that Bond finds himself in, but I personally enjoy it when the pieces fit like that.
One could also argue that since Craig's movies were reboots the lack of gadgets line up with Q-branch not being created yet? Or at least not being funded that much.
Alex D'mello, I'd thank you to actually absorb the main idea of my comment instead focusing on a single short point that I immediately qualified with an opposing argument in the next sentence and ultimately had little to do with my main point, which I believe you are perfectly capable of going back and finding for yourself, sir.
