In a scene just prior, “I don’t mind…as long as the collars & cuffs match” further to Tiffany’s constant changing of wigs…you’d never get away with it today😮
My favorite quip from a Bond movie wasn't deliver by Bond, but rather to Bond - when Goldfinger says "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!". He doesn't, of course, but it's a great line, especially the way Gert Fröbe delivers it.
My Top Five: 1) I Never Miss. 2) No. For Me. 3) Shocking. Positively Shocking. 4) I Think He Got The Point. 5) Sorry, That Last Hand Nearly Killed Me. Honorable Mention: I Think He’s Attempting Re-Entry, Sir. (Yes, it belongs to Q, but it’s still hilarious)
Not a spoken line, but it was hilarious when Bond puts an “Out of Order” sign on the dead body killed by Jaws in the phone booth in the Spy Who Loved Me. Classic Bond humor.
Best line, hands down, from Live and let die. After a round of sex, Roger pulls his gun and basically tells the woman the game is up. The woman goes demure and says "Oh James, you wouldn't shoot me after what we just done". Roger: "Well, I certainly wouldn't have shot you before......." Fantastic. RIP Sir Roger!
Q showing Bond his car in Die Another Day, hands him a massive book. Q: Here's the instructions, you should be able to shoot through that in a couple of days. Bond throws the book in the air in front of the car, the automated guns on the car obliterate the book. Bond: That only took a couple of seconds.
How is THIS one not on the list? "To be a double-0, it takes..." "Two." "How did he die?" "Your contact? Not well." "Made you feel it, did he, well, you needn't worry. The second is..." [BA-DUH-DUH-DUH-DUH-DUH-DUH!] "Considerably."
The whole steam room sequence with Onnatop in Goldeneye was my personal favorite. From Bond saying “that depends on your definition of safe sex”, to “no, no, no! No more foreplay. Take me to Janus.” The whole sequence was just fun for me.
My personal favorite…from Goldeneye Caroline : I enjoy a spirited ride as much as the next girl, but... [a woman, Xenia Onatopp, pulls up alongside and smiles] Caroline : Who's that? James Bond : The next girl.
Bad guys throw woman out the window of a 20 story hotel into the swimming pool. Bond: “Exceptionally fine shot.” Bad guy: “I didn’t know there was a pool down there.”
I love imagining a new James Bond candidate being interviewed by MI6. They show him pictures of people who were(or are about to be) killed in comical ways and ask him to tell them the first phrase that pops into his head, almost like a Rorschach test but it tests how good your murder puns are.
a non Bond one liner is from Goldfinger. Bond is on the table about to be lasered up the groin. Bond says "Do you expect me to talk?" and goldfinger shouts "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
you should do some of Q's on-liners. like, for example when he was testing the exploding pen: Bond: "the writing's on the wall" Q: "as well as the rest of him"
The best one was in Diamonds are Forever, when Connery says to Jill St. John, "as long as the cuffs match the collar"...in reference 😉 to her hair color.
I’m partial to one of Pierce Brosnan’s last Bond one-liners, as he does away with Gustav Graves..”It’s time to Face GRAVITY!” as he kicks him out of a plane into a plane engine in Die Another Day
From Casino Royale theres that part when the guy will talk about getting the first kill and the second and just shoots and say "Yes. Considerably.". There is one from the game Everything or Nothing where M asks if 007 remember Max Zorin and he says "We played bridge once. He lost.". T¨he fact this 007 wasPierce Brosnan somehow made it funnier.
My favs are: 1. “That last hand nearly killed me” 2. “Keeping the British end up sir” 3. “What makes you think this is my first time” 4. “Now the whole world is gonna know you’ve done scratch my balls” 5. “Shocking, positively shocking”
One of my personal favorites is from Goldeneye. Q: Don't say it. Bond: The writing is on the wall? Q: And apparently along with the rest of him LOL! That is going in my favorite one liners list.
Definitely agree with the Smith & Wesson pick for #1. They should use the scene as a screentest for the next Bond actor. Some other suggestions: "See you back at the lodge" "Yes, considerably" "I had a brother. His name was Felix Leiter." Side note: been waiting years for another JB one liner video from you guys!
I always thought it would’ve been way cooler if Obruchev said “no” instead of “what” because then it would reference the title, No Time To Die. Nomi: “Do you know what time it is?” Obruchev: “No” Nomi: “Time to die!”
I really feel like you have one of the best attitudes I have ever read in ANY comment section. I just feel like you get everything I am saying and I LOVE IT!!! I just feel like you can understand all the stuff that I am saying and I think that ROCKS!
George Lazenby (pronounced Lay-zen-bee), in the best Bond film of all: “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” - After a great fight on the beach, Lazenby glances at the camera and says, “This never happened to the other fellow.” - Draco is keen on Bond courting (and eventually marrying) his daughter. Bond offers, “Let’s say I’ll sleep on the idea.” - Veering into a stock car race, he quips, “Looks like we’ve hit the rush hour!”
Narrator : There's no character with as many one-liners as James Bond. Arnold Schwarzenegger : Say dat again and your ass is terminated. And there's something we have never seen : a top 100 of the best last words.
You missed the best Connery one that somehow got past the censors!! Diamonds are Forever meeting Tiffany Case "Weren't you a Blonde before?" "And which do you prefer" "As long as the collars and cuffs match I dont mind" ....Singularly the dirtiest joke in all Bond movies
4:16 The best part of this line isn't the death that precedes it, or the line itself. Its that Pierce Broznan sounds both confident and surprised when he says it. That is a difficult tight rope to walk.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but there's a great one from The Man With The Golden Gun after he swallows the bullet in the woman's stomach. "I've lost my charm!" "Not from where I'm standing." All while he straightens his tie!
Non-Bond best line: Robert Davi in LIcense to Kill: Increases the pressure then cuts the line to lose pressure quickly, which explodes Krest in the pressure chamber. Money is now covered in blood and guts "What about the money, Patron?" Sanchez: "Launder it"
maybe not a one-liner but. Bond: That gun, looks more fitting for a women Largo: You know much about guns, mr bond Bond: no, but i know a little about women ´´Thunderball``
First off well-done old boy. In reference to number one, they caught a lot of heat for that. Not the line"you've had your six" but the fact that it was a cold-blooded killing. Bond had not been in danger at that point but killed that man anyway. I always loved that scene for that very reason. I would imagine that's the way you would have to be in that line of work. But don't forget that came out around 61 or so. There was still a 50s mentality that pervaded cinema. Remember I think it was Thunderball when Bond , some beautiful woman and some scientist that helped them had to to jump off an out-of-control boat heading for rocks. It's apparent they all have to exit the boat, The poor man yells out I don't know how to swim! And Connery gives him a life-raft pushes them overboard and then casually says " it's never too late to learn". 😂😂😂 I don't know why but that gets me everytime. Maybe because it's the absolute least you could do for someone so your conscience doesn't bother you when you're banging the broad. Anyway again , well done and Thank you
I love how Bond's go to weapon is a .22 calibre pea shooter. I am pretty certain that a Walther PPK while really cool looking pieces of equipment, fire a 22 long rifle shell
No the ppk bond uses is chambered in .32 acp. I believe the ppk can be chambered in .22lr .25 .32 and .380 acp. I forget which movie but it is stated "Walther ppk 7.65mm only 3 men I know use such a gun I believe I killed 2 of the" 7.65mm is the .32.
I love Connery’s one liners. My favourite has to be “That’s a Smith and Wesson and you’ve had your six”.
But he is the best Bond for another reason; He is the only Bond, who in fist fight would grab a whole damn sofa and punch his opponent with it.
i don't get that one

It's also the one time Bond doesn't have something witty to say

“Yours!”
My Top Five:

Bond: "me too"
Not a spoken line, but it was hilarious when Bond puts an “Out of Order” sign on the dead body killed by Jaws in the phone booth in the Spy Who Loved Me. Classic Bond humor.

Fiona Volpe: Some men just don't like to be driven.

I actually really like Roger Moore's oneliners, they sound like he doesn't take them very seriously and says them with a bit of feigned innocence.
