- In this episode, we've got another lazy day at sea and we're going with the flow! Join us as we check out breakfast in the dining room, attend a fruit & vegetable carving demonstration, rehearse some more steel pan skills, hit the British pub lunch at the Crown Grill, line dance with Dee, and then it's time for a break to do some laundry in the self-service laundromat before enjoying an evening filled with Movies Under The Stars, a magic show, and more fun... huzzah!!
The final phase of MegaVacay2020 is a ten-night cruise aboard the Crown Princess out of Fort Lauderdale! We sailed February 5 - March 6, 2020 with stops in St. Thomas, Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire, and Aruba. So far, we've completed a week at DisneyWorld as well as 20 days of cruising aboard the Mariner Of The Seas, Grand Celebration, Carnival Sunrise, and MSC Armonia... and we're ready for one more dose of fun to close out our mega vacay agenda!

Good Going Jay on the steel drums
Going back thru your old cruise videos. We sailed on Princess to Alaska - the beds were so comfortable that we slept in everyday. The room steward would kick us out so he could clean. Princess is known for their comfy beds.
I love that you two are supportive of each other’s interests.

Those movie under the stars chairs are so comfortable. I fell asleep in those when I sailed on Princess. Nothing like a cool summer night and the rocking of the ship. They also showed movies on that screen all day long. Was cool to go swimming and watch a movie under the sun.
Gotta say. Love the music for "sock of the day" 😃

Funny, I always lumped it in with the dinner photos and whatever music I chose for dinner. But then some folks commented that they thought I was stripping my shoes off in the dining room and snapping my foot photo, hah...so I decided to put it right after our cabin chat each day and give it an epic theme song!! :P

We do laundry all the time on Princess. I'll usually set a timer on my phone and then come back. Definitely bring your own laundry soap. Loving your first experience on Princess so far 😊
We packed a few laundry pods and dryer sheets, easy peasy. Saved three bucks, ha ha... :P

You will find that you will get lots of chocolate on a Princess cruise! My parents went on a 42 day cruise and ended up with TONS of chocolate..(surprising because my dad is a real chocoholic)

We do longer cruises with Princess so doing laundry on a sea day can be fun! Just got to get there first!! Hubby and I like to sit up higher when we watch the movies. Sometimes they bring cookies too. Thanks for sharing!!

My first attempt at Movies Under the Stars - when it was a new thing - the gentle evening breeze & the nice motion of the ocean & I fell asleep!! Ahhhhh!! Good memories!! Looks like you had a relaxing sea day 😊

One odd cruise fact. The only cruise line that charges extra for popcorn is Disney. Kind of ironic because of how expensive DCL is and you could just get chicken nuggets and fries at the top deck included :)

We like the pub lunch and "the Princess life." You made us laugh. Jay deserves a solo. You are both so talented.

True! Especially because there was another couple that wanted my washer... they kept eyeing it and I felt like I needed to be in there just in case they decided to remove my stuff and swipe it, ha ha... :P

Like you I take laundry products... tend to do a wash towards day 5 of 7 then not such a massive amount of laundry to do when I get home. I LOVE watching the swimming pool at night when the ship is a rocking and a rollin’ really gives you some perspective :)
We packed a few laundry pods and dryer sheets, easy peasy. Saved three bucks, ha ha... I always try to capture some dramatic waves in the pool. It's such a funny contrast to be relaxing on deck while the pool is rocking and rolling!! :P

On my last cruise, I caught a bug of sorts and was not feeling great for a couple of days. We were in the New England States. I was on Celebrity Summit, which reminds me a bit of the smaller ships I saw you on. One evening I went to the top deck, where their movies were, with my camomile tea, my lightweight jacket, and settled in to watch the movie Bohemian Rapsody. It was so peaceful up there and I had two fluffy blankets to keep me warm. Their area for movies is the BEST and is filled with all rattan furniture (plastic because of weather) and there were lounges for two with walls between and the remainder of the deck was filled with chairs and sofas of all sorts in the same material. They even had pretty throw pillows on everything. I was in heaven. Sorry for my responses being so long, but I love cruising and can not wait for another one. You two are fun to watch. Wish I could have shared a photo of the area.
Oh nice! We haven't been able to try Celebrity yet, though we have it booked for January, fingers crossed!!
I was looking for being 1st time platinum on carnival , but our carnival breeze - oct. 10th 2020 probably be cancel
Ah, fingers crossed it'll still sail! We're slated to sail again in October, so we're hoping for the best!!

I love how you two make the most of the activities on board!! Jay you crack me up....when you went into the laundry room entrance 🤣. My husband does the self service laundry when we cruise too. You remind me of me and my husband. Love you guys so much!

Princess and Carnival do I great job with the outdoor movies. Royal and Norwegian are garbage with the outside movies. Heck, Norwegian didn't even leave any chairs out when they were playing the movie outside
That's crazy! We haven't sailed Norwegian yet, though we were supposed to but got canceled in September, and still are in December. We shall see!!

I actually won many of those Princess journals and now take them on cruises to take notes for my travel blog reviews. Did you ever get the chance to try the International Cafe's breakfast options? Best place for a breakfast sandwich and donuts. Great socks - they were the true stars of the vlog today. ;)

Two sea days down, two sea days back. The first sea day was supposed to be Princess Cays but was canceled due to engine/generator issues that had been ongoing for a few months.
K Mak - last time I was on a Princess ship ( Regal Princess) they had steak & kidney pie in the International Cafe for lunch everyday!

Nah, we hadn’t done laundry since the Carnival Sunrise so we had all of our dirty clothes from the MSC Armonia and whatnot, ha ha...

Carnival Corp does indeed own Princess, but their loyalty programs don't mingle sadly. We were first-timers in Princess' eyes, hah... :P
