    So informative, this series with NSE Tropicals...wow 2018! I know much has changed with what is up and coming, but the variety here does not disappoint. I still have the same Philodendron from 40 years ago....from mother to propagations...their beauty does not get old.

    Such a stunning collection that I didn't want the tour to end! I also spent the entire video consumed with jealousy as you carried that beautiful Labisia you scored. :)

    Reall;y loved this series, so interesting to learn about plants that can grow in the home. It was an extra bonus for me to see a live animal in the videos. Dogs, cats, birds, I love them all and it makes the environment you are in even more "real." Thanks, especially to the camera man!!

    Love these tours, and the plants! I live in Costa Rica, at about 1.700 mts above sea level, and have to say have never seen such interesting Philodendrons growing here, not even in my trips to the beach or lover altitude areas. I have to say I've been captivated by your channel, I already was a plant geek with a 6x3 mts greenhouse full to the brim with succulents and cacti, lots of space in the garden, but you've rekindled my love of shade loving plants and aroids specially, either by watching what you grow in the house or these tours. Also peperomias, love love love peperomias, it's a shame we don't get that much variety down here. Keep up the good work.

    WANT philodendron snowdrift!

    • @reallife9036
      @reallife9036 5 років тому +1

      I believe that was actually p. Jungle fever. As the older leaves retained the chartreuse nature of Jungle fever and snow drift leaves age to a darker green, more like the flecks of dark green on the chartreuse leaves.

    Summer, thanks for sharing all of these beautiful tours!
    I recently got a majesty palm and immediately repotted it with a generic potting soil with a little extra peat moss. As I’m learning more about soil I’m worried the peat is holding too much water as the lower fronds are getting yellow brown tips. I’d like to repot it into a sandier palm specific soil but am worried doing that so soon will just shock the plant. Which is better, leaving it in poor draining soil or risk shocking it to move it to a better media?

    I want to learn how to propogate mendinila plant...I have to and does it need a special potting media or normal potting soil is good enough ?... and yes I was also wondering about the formation of a sugary sap on its leaves...nice to learn that it's normal....thanks a lot in advance

  • @icemancometh8679

    Did you hear the siren in the background when they were showing the cold damage plants? That was somebody overreacting to the cold damage and calling the frost police we plant aholics tend to overreact. But in actuality it's really quite serious cuz Frost can kill a plant so next time you're in a greenhouse and you hear somebody screaming 911 911 when a wall collapses due to a blizzard, that'd be me!

    Hey Summer, first thing I love your vids and thank you for them, this one is awesome like usual :)I don't have instagram or any social media so hopefully you see my question here!I have mealybugs on some of my plants, I have washed then with water so many times and they just keep coming back. I wonder if you have any product ideas to deal with them. I’ve heard you mention a bit in another video but didn’t grab the product name.Thanks Logan
