I was so excited to grind the Mirage 2000 before the 5F was added, I get it right after the 5F is added, and now this event vehicle gets added along with the Mirage 4000. Would've been cool to have this without grinding all of France, can't have shit in Paris.

I just visited the France's own Air and Space museum a few days ago and by god... Getting to see all sorts of French and other planes I'd never seen before was insane. They had all sorts of Mirages (including the 4000), prototypes, a Rafale, a MiG-23, a J-35, a 2 seater J-37... Even a Jaguar sporting battle damage as it returned from a mission in Desert Storm in '91. These planes are fucking beautiful in person. And I almost forgot to mention the two Concordes they had...
One thing to mention. At 10:06 , you were using ACM PD HDN mode and your plane did not lock. This plant does have a normal ACM mode. The easy way is to switch to normal SRC mode before turning your radar off. If not that method, you have to change your radar type to switch between ACM PD HDN and normal ACM
Great vid as always. What Defyn didn't mention is how insane the supersonic acceleration is on this plane. It allows you to zoom around, engage and disengage at will, always going 1400+ kph. Be careful not to ripp your wings, if you keep your airspeed below 1512 kph you'll be good
I hit 1800 km/h but accident on a sim map the other day. I was at about 3k alt. This thing is a speed demon

Idk why it took me so long to realize that BRs are rounded. Like .3 and .7 didn’t make sense, but they are actually .3333 and .6666 which get rounded to .3 and .7

@@flappy3635 It absolutely makes sense. .33333... and .66666... are both thirds of a full number. Splitting a number in half will give you 0.5 and 1.0, Gaijin splits BRs into three parts rather than two, so you end up with 0.333... (1/3), 0.666... (2/3) and 1.0 (3/3)
Very beautiful fight with the Mig 29, I have had nearly a thousand matches in the Mirage 2000-5f and I absolutely love her ability to win in most vertical dogfights.

I find that being tiered isn’t my biggest issue when it comes to winning a match. It’s usually me flying American planes and having a team that disappears after 30 seconds and it turning into a constant 1v10. That or the fact that I sometimes like pain and take out the f4c, which in real life has countermeasures, and enjoy dying after maybe two kills just because I can’t affective counter missiles. It can be a good plane if you’re perfect however if you make a mistake you’re immediately dead since you can’t really dodge missiles in that boat.
Gotta love those full teams of level 15s rushing in to die immediately

Still worth it for SIM AirB. It is a scavenger a little as it brakes too much in turns because of the delta, but workable. Which is true for most deltas in SIM.

Thinking about either keeping it or buying the 1st star that I missed and sell the coupon later. It'd be essentially my first top tier jet (but not my first supersonic, I already have some experience in the T-2), buuut the downside is I'd have to grind the french air tree from scratch and I'm not really interested in their planes (maaybe the Rafale, whenever it comes).

Could you do another F-15J video? The radar on it and the F-16AJ just seem to play wacky tacky whenever I try to use them, and I’ve gotten maybe one kill ever with the AIM-7Ms as a result. I realize comparing them to Soviet radar missiles is an effort in futility but I now have a far higher killcount with the 530Fs - even AFTER the pulse doppler update last week.

if they shoot the AIM54 (phoenix) from too far its actually kinda ez to outturn it from face. Btw the 530D may feel slow but h can reach mach 5 and is faster than the aim7m

Is giving me massive MiG-29/Su-27 radar vibes and usually when that happens or I go down that route the next thing I know is I'm shot down and back to the hangar because I've just wasted 4 seconds on something that should have taken 1 second at most.

So this is like flying the Kfir C2 but you get an extra 2 Radar missiles and get shit on constantly or most the time cuz in WT there's no such thing as a bunch of downtiers in a row. So grinding this event is a bummer cause you get a jet that sees everything that just over matches this thing in almost every way😁 The French event Jaguar that's another winner for an event plane constant up tier such funnnnnnnn........
I'd definitely keep it if there wasn't penalty for research, but since i don't really want researching ranks 1-6 using tt vehicles, gonna sell it and buy f1c on the next sale

IIRC IRL the S4 does not get MAW, while the S5 does. If (when, really) Gaijin decides to add MAW to all planes that had it IRL, this will make the S4 quite a bit more mid than the S5. Keep this in mind; this plane will likely be powercrept.
I don't understand why a plane with 2 good missiles and 2 okay missiles is 11.7, not that it matters when the compression is so bad that 11.7 might as well be 12.3

Grinded 3.2M XP to start with 2x Magic 1s, no look down all aspect radar, and no counter measures. WOW !
Wdym no flares? The majority of things(including this) has flares, you research the mod to get other flare options tho

How much score would you say you averaged per match to get the mark of distinction, if you did it that way?
I played F16C with a bomb load along with the missiles. One base and one kill got me 1300 score each game and then add the multiplyer of 1.68 to that and that's the score I was getting every 5-6 minutes
I was doing 1000-2000 with the me163
I did base bombing in sim battles, got the full 40k in about 1.5 - 3 hours each time

I've actually been getting a lot of good kills in this thing versus higher tier grippens and F-16/15. Even swiped a couple of migs. Are they better planes? Sure, but given the average skill of most players this thing is awesome as fuck
Anyone know if we are going to sell it, is it better to do it day 1 or wait? I've never actually grinded for an event vehicle before this.
its my first as well, i think i am going to keep it as a coupon unless i randomly decide to grind france air. i have about 390 days of premium left (brought some in the sale) so i reckon ill sell it when it runs out, maybe, idk tbh but i feel like keeping it and not activating it straight away is probably the best way to go about it if we are unsure.
It's all very situational. If you can sell it really fast, you might get the chance to get a high price. If you wait a few days, it usually goes up a bit, but you still need to check. If you wait like 6 months, it usually goes up substantially, unless it gets nerfed. If it gets buffed, even better.
I have no french airplanes, so I think it is not a bad idea to keep it. What price could I expect from selling it? maybe its better to sell end get a premium even if its not a M2K?

Although I don't know why Gaijin didn't just give all the Mirage 2000-5 MICA-IR, that thing is just a big IR missile like 27ET, that will greatly improved Mirage 2000 by letting it carry 6 good missiles without giving it a ARH
because MICA IR can be fired in fox 3, has thrust vectoring and IRCCM, it's more like a r73 with the range of an AIM 7

Firstly with Gaijin doing bigger and bigger leap each update, I don't think they have much of a choice, they are literally running out of stuff at this pace
Secondly, adding something that is way better than what other have is kind of their business model if you think about it, that is how they drive hype and keep players wanting and spending to get new things because their old things just got power creep into the ground. Just imagine how much Mirage F1 or J-7D they will sell if French or China got MICA
So even I don't agree with how they are adding new stuff and totally agree MICA will be way too good, I still think we will see it pretty soon

Am i the only one who suffers so much with this thing? 😅 i'm advanced to tier VI in the French tree so i have a max crew already(and i also paid 1 million for the expert crew)... I used the F-8E and the F-5E to grind the Mirage and i was doing quite ok... I'm mostly 2:1 on my K/D ratio and i even got some 5 kill matches with those, mostly 2 kills - 2 assists games... I've flown about 25 matches with this thing and i can't do shit with it... Missiles coming from every direction, flares and chaff do nothing (with afterburner off)... On my last match i got shot with an aim9-L which i was aware of, was at least 2km behind me, spent 10 flares, dropped afterburner, maneuvered to a point that i lost 300km/h and the damn thing still got me... I'm just so frustrated right now, i like the Mirage a lot, it's an iconic plane. But at this time all my hype turned into dust and i really hate myself for grinding so hard for 15 days to get it.... Damn :( :( The only reason i played France in the first place was to fly a mirage...

@@nighthawk6755 yeah it’s probably me... I mean top tier feels like a mess right now... I’ve never actually been in TOP tier but I get flashbacks from last year when the F-14 was first introduced... I gave up on 10.3 back then and came back when 10.3 was back in the safe zone... Flying the mirage gave me the exact same feeling... I was like ok I’m going back to 10.3, guess what... The radar missile buff that happened a few days ago made the MiG-23s and their R24Rs extremely OP, everyone is skimming the ground to have a chance... Now this isn’t air RB... Planes fly to the sky, they don’t skim the ground... Maybe give them wheels and make them tanks that can go Mach 1.0 and have unchaffable radar missiles... Not my cup of tea, I think I’ll abandon late jets altogether and go back to 4.0-5.0 props or 7.0-7.7 early jets...
