The training chambers was what the game was really about. It was so great and so much fun. Even the idea of a game about training is brilliant. Thanks for posting!
At the time the musics were amazing To my opinion, they still are. In stage one, i miss the guy who appears sometimes and stares at us. After a while he falls and shout, that was some crazy idea :)
Oh man, remember playing this with my childhood friend. I think it was on Atari. I was waiting for the guy in the background who leans over, breaks the fence and falls down, haha
I use back and fore walk tactic but it doesn't work after some point :)) I watch your videos while I'm at work on a separate monitor. It feels like I play (while I'm not as good as you are) I appreciate your efforts. You changed my days :)
Dude, that is so awesome. I played that when I was a little boy so many years ago. My son really needs to see this the next time he beats the crap out of me in SC ;-) Thank you so much.
The board test? You gotta hit the center of the board(s) you wan to chop through, then rythmically move the joystick (I don't know what you have to use) left and right to gather strength to chop. But the more boards you get, the harder it gets, too.
I recognize all the music in this game, but can't believe I would have made it that far to hear it all. LOL. Was the music used in crack intros or something?
Ive never been able to dodge the damn fire balls... always thought thei are not dodgeable..... i never thought that there is ONE certain moment were you can duck... I was a kid at that time too .. :)
Very well done. I've one question. How did you master the "test of strength"? I've toggle stick left and right very fast, but that's the wrong way? Is there a trick?
wasn't there a dude in the back of chamber 1 that comes to watch and leans against the fence and then the fence breaks and he falls down and the fence falls on his head? that was funny and pretty distracting.
I remember this game. Nice idea for a game, and the training tests were good fun, but the combat side of the game was wooden and dull, and relied too heavily on just doing the same couple of moves over and over.
One Amiga CD32 magazine absolutely hated this game, giving it an abysmal 6%, the lowest I've ever seen! IIRC the same mag also gave a GOOD score to Rise of the Robots, so what did they know?

This was a great game, the music brings back memories!

Wow, i didn't know my English was that good 9 years ago
Oh Shiiiiit... I remember this. My Brother had this when he had his Amiga.
I used to stay up til about 2am weekends playing this!
It was really hard for me as a child to win any round =)
But memorable enough to search for it after decades
=)
...and again a thank you from me. So many games I´ve forgotten...
the music is just incredible.
I heard the music and know: This is Jochen Hippel! And so he was! Brilliant musician! Miss these times!
I played this game A LOT in my childhood. God I miss the 80s and 90s -.-
Awesome game! The music and graphics were outstanding, played it a lot! thanks for the upload.
One of my fave fighters on the Amiga.
Great how you would train your fighter first and it made a difference to your character.
I love the music!
By the always awesome Jochen Hippel
Bu oyunu ne çok oynardım ,hey gidi günler. hey...
Holy crap... i never beated the damn dragon... youre one hell of a player !

A very cool game, especially the outstanding music!

very well played. I rarely managed to get my char that good. Loved that game so much.
so true man, and this is one of the best games ever for amiga and prob ever made
I loved the music of this first discipline
they SHOULD do a remake of this! it's too awesome!!

Thank you so much.
Used to play that when I was about 8 or so xD hated this game for being so hard.
LOVED this game!
Damn, I was so close to finish that game but the dragon was always killing me :(
However, soundtrack of that game just rocks ! Love it !

I did, except for the fifth (board-breaking) test. I always had trouble gathering enough strength to break the board.
such memories... I was pretty good at this one
thank you, this is awesome lots of memories
There is a certian pattern which the fireballs take. i know that as a kid it's difficult to discern, but it can be done.
great movie and very good gameplay
its possible to share your caractere save disk ????
Allow me to demonstrate the skill of Shaolin. The special technique of shadowboxing!
I really do hope you used your knowledge wisely ! :P
Easily the best kung-fu game ever, along with International Karate
Not easy game ! But very very good atmosphere and very beautiful graphism. :-)
Indeed challenging. Back then I took me years to get past the wrecking ball level

Never got to the end of this one
Good job
I have, a number of times. Just kick at the head and dodge its fire gouts, that's all.
Aweson BGM!

Nice, I used to play this one and save my own character on a floppy (though often it didn't want to load it), but somehow I prefer the C64 version.
So in order to master Shaolin Kung Fu, all you have to do is kick a dragon in the face a bunch of times? Wow, where do I sign up?
Broken by Quartex 8)
Is this real or fake?
"knowlegde"... loool
old games have a soul......unlike the new ones, just great graphics, but no soul.....
nope
Terrible Controls, terrible Game. But Jochen Hippel was a great composer!
Nice game, but the ending was crap!
Budokan was much worse
like anybody cares
