Six Foot Track, Cox River, Blue Mountains hiking and fly fishing

An over ambitious trip of 23 km done in a single day. My trip started off in Sydney with a train ride to Katoomba station where I picked up a rental car. Then drove to Megalong Cemetry and started my hiking along the six foot track.
The journey started off very easy, walking along the megalong creek. Unfortunately, that creek is too shallow and lifeless. And most of the sections are on private land. Hence there is no access.
The fishing was not terribly satisfying as the water is very discolored probably due to the heavy rainfall that it received in the last 2 weeks.
I am just glad i made it out alive with a few blisters on my feet.

Thanks for the heads up on the cramps I did Jindabyne on the end of 2024 school holidays I got cramps also but I only got 14 ks in and a nice brown to make the day

Nice fosh. I was in a simialr area in December-water high and sirty. No takes. better luck next time for me. (I was on the Gangbenang, which runs off Cox'sRiver road. :-)

Hi I have never known of this six foot track but I have been to other places and different names,if you are on your own all the time you go fly maybe we could camp and do some fly together, thanks for your video

Walk with your rod pointing backwards, it can cost you a lot of money, I know because long time ago I broke the tip of my IMX Loomis fly rod. Well done.

Next time take some water with a pinch of salt lemon juice in a touch of apple cider vinegar it'll help with the cramps
