I agree with the rest. Gracie Lou should have cheese a piece of cheese with every meal (at least the ones we see on video). I've always liked the smell of baked beans I just have never liked the taste. Nothing better than a tomato sandwich especially in the summer time. By the way please don't do the mukbang. I use to watch a video a while back and I stopped when she started doing mukbang. It wasn't bad enough with chewing online but she smacked her lips loudly. Ugh. I've been thinking about growing herbs. Are they easier than vegetables? I had no luck with tomatoes.
I love tomato and mayo sandwiches I also will add a slice of cheese and for a little crunch I sometimes will slice cucumber and put it in the sandwich so good ! Love y’all !
Mandy, I love cilantro. However, here is the reason some people hate it. “It may surprise you to learn that those who dislike cilantro tend to have a GENE that detects the aldehyde part of cilantro as a soapy smell and taste,” Dr. Vyas says. Aldehydes are organic materials that possess a distinct chemical structure..”
Cilantro is in two camps, those who love it and those who can't even stomach it. I'm in the last group, I can't get past the flavor, it makes me sick to my stomach! Whenever I get Pho, I ask for NO CILANTRO and get some interesting stares because of it!! It's too bad as sooo many recipes have it in them. I just trade it out with parsley...Hugs & hearts from the Land of the Midnight Sun, Alaska!!❤️😊❤️
You guys are just too funny. Love watching you. Thank you for sharing these recipes and their links. Many people don't like beans....not me - I love them!!!! I could eat them daily.... Have a blessed and beautiful day 🥰
We love cilantro! Loved the comment about having cheese at every meal for sweet Gracie Lou .... totally agree! Love all the bean recipes! We too love beans
Love tomato sandwiches, Steven! Try it on very lightly toasted bread aling with the mayo, salt, pepper.and oregano, you won't be disappointed. The lightly toasted bread somehow takes it to a new level. One of summer's greatest pleasures. Yum!! Love you guys ❤
Made the baked bean casserole last night. My husband LOVES it and announced “it’s a keeper”👏 I tweaked it. I had brown molasses instead of brown sugar, then a tsp of fresh jalapeños instead of bell pepper. But folks, it’s that real bacon that’s the crowning glory. Keep it up Mandy!👋
I'm Mexican American and a Texas native born and raised so Cilantro is my Jam. Also, we all know that Gracie Lou is really the Star and she is also the Director of the episodes so yeah, she requires all the Cheese or I would be concerned she would sue. 😂🎉love that cat, she is sooooooo cute. And Steven (my hubby is also A Steven and Network engineer) quit shaming her being a free cycle kitty 🐈 shame shame I know your name. Lol j/k
This is so great because my husband is vegan and when I make us dinner I always look for recipes with beans in them! So looking forward to making some of these meals. Great job, Mandy! ❤
We love tomato sandwichs here in SE Texas, I was raised liking my bread toasted. Also, ya can't have to much cilantro 😊 I do cheat making my rancho beans with the canned pintos 😊 For your rice you can also toast the rice in the pan with a little olive oil. This will cook off the loose starch. It gives it an incredible rich and nutty flavor and less time to cook cause the rice is already hot when you add the water 😊
I Honestly don't know which one of these recipes I want to try first. They all look Delicious as always. Y'all make me laugh so hard. If I'm having a trying day I just watch you and Steven and I 'm good! Gracie Lou and her cheese is the Best. Thanks for always sharing great food and your awesome fun family. ♥️♥️♥️
These are great, thank you! I rinse my rice, too, very thoroughly. My reason is because getting off all that extra starch keeps the rice from coming out mushy and keeps the grains separated. I do it every time and get absolutely perfect rice because of it!
Nice to see Gracie sharing her catio with her humans, such a sweet girl. Your garden is amazing, here in Ontario just starting to plant our vegetables and your tomatoes are almost ripe. Different growing seasons. Always a treat to see the two of you having fun and sharing recipes. Also glad to see Gracie got her cheese.
I like getting new dinner ideas from you. But what I love is just how much you and Steve enjoy each other. Watching you two together just makes me happy. 😊🥰 Tomato sandwiches are so yummy. Especially when you can just step out your door and pick them fresh.
Another great video, we really enjoy sharing time with your family and all the yummy recipes. Thank you for freezing the extra sauce and not just tossing it I know to many who toss... and Please give Gracie a hug for us she is a gem... Jenni and Vincent Southern CO
You are correct....there is no middle ground when it comes to Cilantro! I personally do not care for it. Same goes for blue cheese...you either love it or hate it. I personally LOVE it! I enjoy watching your episodes so much!
Dear Ms Mandy, when cutting your jalapeno, split it down the middle (like you do) and, instead of using a knife to remove the seeds use a teaspoon. Start at the pointed end and draw the spoon down towards the wide end. This will make removing the seeds and veins much easier and cleaner. Love the show!
I just love watching you and the “ common tater”. I have even tried some of your recipes and they were scrumptious. Will be making the bean salad this weekend. I have two grandkids graduating high school this weekend and that will be the perfect addition to our bar b cue. Will eagerly awaiting your next video. By the way Gracie Lou is adorable!
I rinse my rice because my mama and grandma did. Also, industries do everything for their product to last the longest with no consideration to our health. US food industry is Profit before People... Grow and home cook as much as you can, avoid convenience prepared food. Also recommend cookbook Nourishing traditions
Mandy My cat Boo Boo talks while her dad is praying too. I try to give her food right before we eat so she stays quiet. Great video with bean recipes. Loved it. We ate tomato sandwiches all the time when I was growing up. Delicious.
I am a big fan of cilantro, although I can occasionally taste the soap flavor. I still love it and always add it (when appropriate). And Steven, I grew up eating tomato sandwiches as you described - with tomatoes grown in my granddad’s garden. We also ate a lot of tomato and cucumber salad because he also grew cucumbers. One of my favorite childhood memories was my granddad bringing us a cucumber and the salt shaker while we were swimming in the pool! 🙂
I've OFTEN thought the same thing about Gracie and the cheese, too! If she's not around when you're shredding the cheese, you know she's going to be at the table for supper and more than likely won't be able to eat the finished product. So save her a few shreds to share from the table. I do that with our "fur baby girl" Molly. Yes, I'll hear we're fostering bad habits but she's family and eats her supper with us and I prepare a separate, individual portion (before seasonings) that is "Molly friendly". She WILL NOT eat dog food and she loves green beans, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, brown rice, turkey and chicken (& cornbread, biscuits & tea, but those are special treats....) . So believe me, her Southern Appa-latch-un "mama" makes her "fur baby" some good eatin'!
TOMATO (Mater) SANDWICHES! I grew up on those, as they were my dads favorite. Toasted and buttered bread, Mayo, thick slices of tomatoes with salt and pepper … mmm mmm MMMM! Best sumner comfort food. Every time I eat one now, I reminisce about the amazing times when I was daddy’s little girl. ❤
LOVE you both so much!!!! You always brighten my day and bless me with so much including a good giggle... I sat down with my lunch (baked sweet potato with my chick pea stir fry) and saw this video - how fitting to watch while I eat lunch!!! Have a great week!
Thank you for this beautiful bean footage! 😂 We LOVE beans and one of my hubby’s favorite meals is pinto beans I cook in the crockpot with a ham bone. Served with cornbread…sooo southern and so good!! I don’t mind cilantro. I live in Texas so it’s everywhere. Your garden is quite impressive!! So jealous! My yard is too shady and full of squirrels to grow anything lol. Gonna try these recipes…they all look delicious!! And cheap!!
My 91 year old mom was watching one of your videos with me and saw you using that chopper and said I need one of those. She loves it so much I ordered myself one.
I grew up eating tomato sandwiches! My husband had never heard of anyone eating them before! And since how this video is about beans, I'd like to tell y'all about my mom's favorite bean sandwiches! She would take leftover baked beans, cold, spread them on bread with mayo on the other slice....Mmmmm.... my husband thinks I'm crazy but they are DEEE-licious!!!
Thank you for making your videos. I love your personality n your husband being involved in the process. Entertaining n makes me smile. Keep them coming n I'll be watching, cooking n enjoying each n every recipe.🎉
You're so clever and creative. You keep so many options and variety with a fun, sweet, and faith filled heart (can't forget Sir Common Tater, and beautiful Gracie).😊
I love cilantro!!! Every time Miss Gracie talks my Toby perks up his ears and paws at me. Lol I also have a Gracie , when she hears you say Gracie, she jumps down and leaves the room. Lol. I just love how you say Boil=bowl.❤️ As a couple, your connection and love for each other comes shining through… Relationship goals❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tomato sandwiches are delicious! We used to grow tomatoes when I was a kid growing up in southwestern PA, and my mom made homemade bread. Bread, tomatoes, mayo, a little salt and pepper... absolutely delicious!!
I like cheese and onion sandwiches but just a tomato one sounds good too. My daddy was from the south and he liked cheese and onion sandwiches. He also would put great northern beans on his chocolate cake.
Great video Mandy! I eat a gluten free plant based diet and these are great, thank you. You and your husband are so funny. I love watching you two.😊 I have a love hate relationship with cilantro. I like it in small amounts, and I grow it as well and harvest the seeds for the next year.
Mandy, please let your wonderful “Common Tator” know that there are a few of us knows what a great Tomato Sandwich is and taste like, especially with fresh garden tomatoes with fresh bread! It’s the best! Thank you.
I had been gone all day running errands and was looking for something easy to make for dinner. I am so glad you posted this video, and I decided I needed to relax and watch it before I looked for something for dinner because I had everything on hand to make the one pot bean fajita. OMG, was it ever delicious!!! Thank you for such a quick and easy recipe. I needed this today.
I'm from Columbus, Indiana and I know all about those tomato sandwiches! My great-grandfather raised amazing tomatoes and made me tomato sandwiches often! He put butter on both peices of bread (it kept bread from getting soggy) and some salt, then an inch thick slice of tomato which was bigger in diameter than the bread! He did that with my mom when she was young, but she liked mayo on it better. Thank you both for sharing!! Looking forward to trying these recipes‼🍅🍞
My husband just had his first ONION and tomato sandwich of the season. It was a Walla Walla sweet onion, of course, since we live in Walla Walla. He LOVES onion and tomato sandwiches. The vegetarian enchilada tortilla stew and baked bean casserole are on my list of dishes to make.
I was watching one of your videos, you were making something in the instant pot. My husband was really impressed so he went out and bought me one. He said I bet all her recipes are good. So I'm gonna be making a lot of "Mandy's recipes".
I just love Gracie Lou. My middle name is Lou also. I have 2 cats, Noel and Joy. They keep me sane. I’m alone now so don’t cook much anymore but I love your channel. Your husband is a hoot. I look forward to seeing your recipes. Keep up the good work. Hugs
I love me a warm tomato right out of the garden, sliced up on two slices of Wonderbread, mayo, salt, and pepper. My classic Tomato and Mayo sandwich, use to eat them on watch in Panama.
I absolutely love cilantro! I love the smell of it, like the earth after it rains. I know it's weird, but I wish there was a perfume or body cream that was made from cilantro!
Good morning Mandy and Steven my hubby and I love all ur cooking videos. I too love to cook and I’m blessed bcuz my hubby gives most everything I cook a try. And trust me I mix up some pretty weird things And he tells his family that they may not sound or look good but they sure do taste good. Heads up on that best ever Texas caviar the longer it sits the better it tastes. And it tastes delish even when u eat it just by itself as a side dish. Have a blessed day love Loretta and jim winsor
I am 70 and only found y'all about a year ago, but am so enjoying going back to all your earlier videos. Again, your whole family is adorable! I am a mom of 4 and granny of 13, and they are awesome.
My husband and I have been experimenting with beans in an effort to cut back on meat which we really love but need to watch our intake, so these recipes are so exactly what we need! Thank you so much, Mandy! We like a touch of cilantro, but not too much. Sadly, we cannot handle spice or heat, so we just leave those kind of ingredients out and they still taste wonderful. Loved the mukbang comments and Steven grooving with the scoops and bean stew. Both these portions of the video had me laughing out loud! And Gracie-Lou, I am so happy you had cheese. Great video once again! Have a great week! 😂😂❤
I love beans, and I was just thinking about having a soup for dinner tonight and that soup you made sounds perfect! I can't wait to try them all! Have a great week Mandy and Stephen! 💕
My mom made a dish similar to the baked bean casserole, but towards the end, she put refrigerator biscuits on top, and sprinkled cheddar cheese over them, baking it until biscuits were baked through. It's fabulous!
I love Cilantro. Used it for years and years. Tomanto sandwiches are the bomb. I am a Texan. I watch youtube on my big tv so I hardly comment but I love your recipes.
If you want to have cilantro all summer, you are going to have to keep new plants growing because it tends to bolt and go to seed very quickly, even if you pinch out the tops. If you get seeds, you can keep sowing a few every couple of weeks and let them replace the plants that have stopped producing nicely. I am not a fan of cilantro. Not only does it taste like soap to me, but it upsets my stomach. I used to run an herb garden at my local nature center (for 25 years). I was the person everyone came to when they wanted a plant identified. So many emerging sprouts look similar, I often had to taste to identify the plant. It often seemed like everything was cilantro! However, it is a testament to how easy it is to grow cilantro from seed because those sprouts came up from seeds our bolted cilantro had thrown off. Steven, love mater sandwiches. A staple when growing up and still, as an old lady. You two are delightful!
I just found your site ,love how you add all the recipes also, and it is cute to have your husband test everything ,great combination ! Keep them coming !
I agree Gracie Lou should get a piece of cheese in every video. Love seeing her.
I love tomato sandwiches and I always toast the bread. It's the best.
Yes babrbara but that teeny tiny piece of cheese ???? Cmon give the girl some cheese! cheese
Yes for cheese! 🐈 no for cilantro 🎉😊😅
I disagree! Gracie Lou needs multiple pieces of 🧀 in each video! (At least one piece per meal prepared).
I love tomato sandwiches too ❤😂❤🎉
Add 🥓 bacon, too!!
I LOVE when you do videos that spotlight a certain ingredient. ❤. Beans it is!
You and Steven do a great job! Thank you so much!
Interesting, I smell and taste the soapy-ness, but under that is a taste I l love, so I enjoy it anyway. Thanks ❤
That would be me, lol. Doesn't necessarily taste like soap, but can't stand it.
Cilantro is in two camps, those who love it and those who can't even stomach it. I'm in the last group, I can't get past the flavor, it makes me sick to my stomach! My daughter says it tastes like soap to her. It's definitely a biological cause. So interesting.
NO for me! Strangely, I don't taste soap...I taste the smell that is emitted when you kill a stinkbug. It's terrible!
You guys are just too funny. Love watching you. Thank you for sharing these recipes and their links. Many people don't like beans....not me - I love them!!!! I could eat them daily.... Have a blessed and beautiful day 🥰
Steven always cracks me up everytime
We love cilantro! Loved the comment about having cheese at every meal for sweet Gracie Lou .... totally agree!

Love Cilantro. I actually fix a spring mix salad , add lots of cilantro , avocado and use salsa - lime juice as my dressing .
Made the baked bean casserole last night. My husband LOVES it and announced “it’s a keeper”👏
I tweaked it. I had brown molasses instead of brown sugar, then a tsp of fresh jalapeños instead of bell pepper.

I use Italian dressing with red hot pepper jelly for the dressing in my redneck caviar. Its a delicious dressing with a touch of spice.
I had already made the dressing by the recipe but heated up about 1/4 cup jalapeño pepper jelly and added it to the salad. Yum! Thanks for the idea.
I love cilantro. Basil and cilantro my two favorite herbs. I am not a fan of Pork and Beans so when I make Trish’s recipe I use chili beans instead!❤
Good idea for variety!
Oh my goodness you all are such a delight to watch makes my day so much brighter💛
This is so great because my husband is vegan and when I make us dinner I always look for recipes with beans in them! So looking forward to making some of these meals. Great job, Mandy! ❤
This was great. I just had to leave out the jalepeno.
Even tho I can't eat beans. I'm here watching. I enjoy watching you and getting meal inspiration from you.
We love tomato sandwichs here in SE Texas, I was raised liking my bread toasted. Also, ya can't have to much cilantro 😊 I do cheat making my rancho beans with the canned pintos 😊
For your rice you can also toast the rice in the pan with a little olive oil. This will cook off the loose starch. It gives it an incredible rich and nutty flavor and less time to cook cause the rice is already hot when you add the water 😊

Everything looks so good! Also, I love Steven's reaction to your dishes! You two are so much fun!
I never met a bean I didn't like! These all look positively scrumptious. BTW, Steven, tomato sandwiches are one of my summertime favorites! 😋
These are great, thank you! I rinse my rice, too, very thoroughly. My reason is because getting off all that extra starch keeps the rice from coming out mushy and keeps the grains separated. I do it every time and get absolutely perfect rice because of it!

Great way to use up enchilada sauce. Love Gracie Lou!
I hate cilantro.. lol
One of the very few things I will not eat.. it just tastes metallic to me! Love the recipes! 😊
Omg!!! You two are a hoot!!! LOVE your channel!!! 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The ziploc baggie holders are everything when you’re trying to stock your freezer. ❤❤❤

My cousin made this recipe for our get together 40 years ago. Old and forgotten recipe. Thanks for reviving it.
Such a good video, all the recipes look delicious of course Steven is hilarious what a cute couple!❤️😋
The best thing for a marriage is laughing together. Love you two!

Gonna try these recipes…they all look delicious!! And cheap!!
Team Cilantro all the way!!! I can’t grow it tho’ …it takes one look at me and drops dead! Love you Gracie!🧀

Love watching you cook and listening to Steven's commentary! Great recipes...love beans!
Steven is right about the rice holding up in the fridge. I am thinking orzo would be a great sub out for a cold version.
One of my favorite spices is tarragon, which goes so well
w/chicken.
Great video Mandy! I eat a gluten free plant based diet and these are great, thank you. You and your husband are so funny. I love watching you two.😊
I have a love hate relationship with cilantro. I like it in small amounts, and I grow it as well and harvest the seeds for the next year.
It's 81 here in Indiana. I love bean recipes

I recently got a 4 pack of the contraption that holds bag’s open. Love it, I gave my neighbors/friends the others.
Oh YES! Fresh tomato sandwich on soft white bread!!
Y'all so funny!! I love that in a couples video. Just like Jessica and Bunky😂
I remember growing up my Granny would use the starch water from the rinsed rice to use on her doilies when she iron them.
I am pretty sure that Steven could put hot sauce on a flip-flop, and would love it! It’d be a go-backer! 😂
I think the addition of joist beef smoked sausage would make the pasta dish more interesting! Thank you very much for sharing.
Excellent recipes for beans!!! Thanks guys!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
And I’m definitely team cilantro ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I'm in Texas. 80 and sunny. I love Gracie, she's a star. You always make me smile. Thanks
I like the ideas of Gracie and the cheese 😸❤️
I'll be making all of theses.. Great 👍
Yum to all !!
The recipe reminds of calico beans . The variety of beans makes it so good and so pretty !
Live quick meals !
I am 70 and only found y'all about a year ago, but am so enjoying going back to all your earlier videos. Again, your whole family is adorable! I am a mom of 4 and granny of 13, and they are awesome.
My mother loved tomato sandwiches. Nice memory, so thank you.
Love watching your videos!! Your hubby is so funny! So nice you both are involved. Saving these recipes!! Ty
I absolutely LOVE cilantro!!
Thank you for sharing Mandy and Steven have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. Yummy on all the recipes. 😋😋😋🙏❤🙏❤🙏
I agree with Angela !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you guys. Blessings !!!
I love Cilantro. Used it for years and years. Tomanto sandwiches are the bomb. I am a Texan. I watch youtube on my big tv so I hardly comment but I love your recipes.
If you want to have cilantro all summer, you are going to have to keep new plants growing because it tends to bolt and go to seed very quickly, even if you pinch
out the tops.
However, it is a testament to how easy it is to grow cilantro from seed because those sprouts came up from
seeds our bolted cilantro had thrown off. Steven, love mater sandwiches. A staple when growing up and still, as an old lady. You two are delightful!
You two crack me up! I so wish you lived next door!! lol Ya'll just made my mouth water with all those delicious looking recipes..
I LOVE Cilantro... Basil has to be my 1st favorite...
