Nice! Won’t be fishing there any time soon. Mud fest coming up
Haha I actually tried but the water was all thecway up into the bamboo haha
Great video! Haven’t caught anything here yet. Haven’t tried the river yet just Jacobs creek.
interesting, I usually don't hit the creeks until summer. Not sure when they become active in the creeks I would assume soon. Thanks for watchin!
I am watching from Elmira NY those light bites might be crappie
Cool! I have only ever caught 1 crappie out of this river my whole life, but it's possible and is certainly an interesting idea to explain the light bites! Thanks for watching!
Turn those bad boys into some country shorts.
Haha I'll prolly just wear them with a hole in em😂😂😂
What a great day!! Beautiful fishes!!
Going to be interesting to see how the river looks after 4/2-4/4 with all this rain. It was above 9’ and very much above 10k cfs @6pm 4/2.
Looks like it will be uglier than back in end of Jan.
Pls be careful out there I don’t want anybody to become another victim of that river!!! That current can be nasty even @1100-1200 cfs in some spots especially if you’re wading. I went for a quick but scary swim this past summer between Confluence and Ram Cat. Damn slimy rocks!! lol
Thanks for the great content, keep it coming!!
Thanks! It will be very interesting I'm going to try to get out and get some footage of the river today. Yes the yough is no joke and can be very dangerous! Glad your okay! Thanks for watchin!!!
Fish with barbs mashed down.
Been doing it for years. Protect the fish
Could be a good idea!
What rod: reel is that?
Cadence cr7 rod 7'6" medium and cadence primo carbon fiber reel. About 80 for reel and 80 for rod I love them both!
Nice video man, My buddy fishes that river.
I use those rods too. I really like them. I use them for river fishing too and the 6ft light model makes an awesome crappie rod. God bless
Love these cadence rods and their primo reel, also love the yough! Thanks for watchin!!!!!
New sub, great video!!! I fish mainly ponds close to home due to my fishing time is limited. I live near Lake Norman, NC but rarely get there to fish because the bank fishing access is limited and the areas where you can bank fish from are very pressured. I have been using that hover rig with a Zoom Fluke Jr. (and I have tried some other baits as well but the Fluke Jr has worked the best for me so far) and it is a great finesse presentation. I haven't caught any giants, but have had good numbers days and it seems to work great when nothing else will get them to bite. I use the Core Tackle Hover jig and always have it tied on when I go out.
Thanks for subbin!!! This rig really is a great presentation! It's a new idea and the fish haven't seen it that much yet! Thanks for watchin!!!!
Great videos! I live on the Allegheny and fish that and lake Arthur. I have fished the Yaugh a few times but I need to do it more. Quite a few times I fly fished it down in Confluence, its pretty nice down there. Keep up the great work, the videos are awesome!
Thanks! I have never fished the Allegheny but it's on my list! I love to Yough and have fished it pretty much all my life! Thanks for watchin!
That fish was like crist I got fooled again😅😅
🤣🤣🤣 I think your right! Thats probably why he didn't fight that hard!🤣 Thanks for watchin!
@@fishinwithish christ I spelled it wrong lol
Whatt your theory as to why the fish go deep when then water is low, clear, and cold? Seems to be that fish go deep when the water gets the warmest in the summer, but when the water gets too cold, it seems the fish wpuld look for water that is a bit warmer, which wpuld be more shallow. Just curious
So from what I have seen smallmouth move to faster moving water in the summer because moving water is colder water. Yes, they are sunfish and do well in warm water so you will basically find them everywhere in summer. As for in winter the deeper hole actually offers warmer water being that it's out of the current. I don't know if this applies to rivers but there is also a thermocline after so deep that would stay a warmer temp. (also more stable temp) The deeper hole also offers protection from some predators (like eagles) and most of all they are not burning their precious calories staying out of current! Not sure if all of this applies to other locations and also not sure if any of this is actually true because it's just stuff that I have learned on my own and some stuff I have read, but to me it makes sense! Thanks for watching!
Aint low n clear now lok
Hahaha it's prolly 25x more water now🤣🤣🤣 the yough is constantly changing. From low n clear to high n muddy all the time😮💨😮💨😮💨
what's up bro. I appreciate the video. I love fishing the Yough. What day was this ? The last day I was able to fish was Sunday ......
Thanks! This was march 22nd. Slowly falling behind on videos! Thanks for watchin!
@@fishinwithish BTW..... where did you get that bike you have and what's the price tag on one ?
Well the bike itself is no longer made. Got it from walmart as a return for 69$ its a hyper hydroform. I put a bafang electric motor on it from amazon. kit cost about $1100. Best 1200 I ever spent haha
Great job! Looked like an awesome day at the river. Those were all some solid fish. You're really starting to figure them out. I've never really even though about going after smallies down there til late April or early may. Cool you caught that same fish again a week later. You're going to have to name him.
It was a good day, for sure. It's too bad the Yough changes daily, so it seems like you have to figure them out every time you fish😂😂😂 Thanks for watchin Joe!
Here to say I LOVE WATCHING BOTH OF YOU!!!! How about branching out with lessons and helping an old lady beat a skunk streak 8 months long?!? 😂
That's awesome! Thanks for watching! When I put up videos of the baits I'm selling, I will be giving tips on how to use them. Maybe that could help.
Really enjoyed the shots from the remote camera. It gives a whole different perspective and I'm sure a lot more work for you. Amazed as too how you trained that bass to bite on camera every time.
Thanks! Hahaha I pay him in nightcrawlers😂😂😂 Thanks for watchin!!!
Great day fishing bro! I think you were absolutely right, that subtle color change did the trick. That's crazy. Man, after today, the river is going to be blown out. Going to be tough for a while. Great video, thanks Ish!
Thanks!!!! The river is most certainly blown out BUT it actually could be the best fishing possible...Bout to head out after lunch n see!! Thanks for watchin!!!
@fishinwithish Good luck brother!
