Update, I did it. At 53yrs old I made a baked recipe from scratch that didn't come out hard as a rock and break a window.❤❤❤ so delicious and so easy. Thanks My mother n law has dementia, but she remembers she luvs chocolate. This one is for her.
Hello. I remember a Fox 5 report about a mom that gave her daughter, who was suffering from brain damage, fish oil, high level of real vitamin D and another supplement that I had missed. Massaging her head can increase blood flow, too. Use unprocessed sugar versus the processed ones because of the harm it causes. Feed her real foo, too. God bless you.
Oh my goodness, I just stumbled on this video and it brought me to tears because she reminds me so much of my grandmother, who talked like her and acted just like her and even the spread of food and the blessing was just like back in the day. I didn't realize how much I miss her until I watched this, so thank you so much for bringing wonderful memories back. I can't walt to see her in heaven. She was saved and now I am too! Glory to Jesus.
That is beautiful! I also stumbled upon this & was in tears bc she's so sweet like my gma & she's with a KK & that's my aunt's name! Best part was hearing that prayer at the end bc it's the same blessing I've been praying over my food since I was a child. It brought tears to my eyes to hear the children saying it. ❤
Me too! I couldn't subscribe to this channel fast enough! I can't wait to make this for my family and friends. I usually hit them with the Big Green Egg stuff, but now I'm going to hit them with this. Thank you, MeMe!
She has an accent very much like my maternal grandmother too. It brought back good memories of her. She had grown up in Dover TN, and lived her married life in Hopkinsville KY. That cake looks awesome.
I should have waited until the end to comment….can you stand another one? I was moved to tears when you spoke about your mother. My Mom was a brilliant woman who received accolades for her work in Christian leadership. It was devastating to watch her memory decline as dementia progressed. But, when I had a Bible question, she could still tell me book and chapter to find the answer. His Word was engraved in her heart. I love your prayer at the end with that precious little child’s voice loudest of all. You’re laying a great foundation for generations of your family, as well as that of others. Thank you!❤
When she said “don’t it kk?” My heart melted. Reminded me so much of my memaw saying those exact words throughout my childhood. She taught me how to cook and I don’t get to see her very often anymore but she was and still is one of the most important women in my life. I’m 19 now and often think of her anytime I’m cooking with potatoes since they were in most of her recipes.
I'm in my mid sixties and lost my grandmother and grandfather in 2001, 3 months apart. i grew up with them in the same town so we saw them all the time. I moved far away in my mid 20s and saw them as much as possible several times a year. I still miss them dearly but with fond memories vs grief now. Even though you don't see your Memaw often try to make it a point to give her a call or even send her a card; I'm sure receiving mail from you would be a highlight in her day too. One day she'll be gone and you Will feel its way too soon and wished you did this or that, whatever it is. You're a sweet granddaughter speaking about her so fondly.
Oh that sweet baby saying her prayer so loud and proud at the end. That was precious and I thank you for including it. I’m not a chocolate person either but I think I will make that this Saturday for company I have coming.
First time watching MeMe's kitchen. What a wonderful, lovely lady. I'm from the Appalachians and MeMe reminds me how precious these southern ladies are! Thank you MeMe, you're a jewel! 😊
This is my favourite dessert. We called it chocolate brownie pudding . My mother used to make it up in an electric frying pan…back in the day… We were a family of nine! I now have your cookbook and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I must say you look so pretty today in your gorgeous floral top… like a bouquet of summer flowers! 🌹🌺🌸🌼🌻🥰
This video was so lovely. It reminded me of when my own mother, God rest her soul, would teach me how to cook and bake. We are Irish, I grew up in Ireland and I am now raising my own children in Ireland but, cooking and baking with love and sometimes a very tight budget, is universal. I miss my Mammy so very much and this video brought me back to happy days spent in the kitchen or smelling the apple pies and fresh bread my mother would bake on a Saturday morning. The smell was what woke me and brought me running up to the kitchen to have some fresh, warm bread with Irish creamery butter and homemade damson jam. Happy memories
My mother had a recipe that was similar to this. It was called Mystery Pudding. It had several more spices and instead of pouring hot water over it you poured strong coffee over the top. It came out just like yours and the mystery was how the rich sauce ended up on the bottom of the pudding.
Hard to believe this recipe works!!! Thank you for making it and showing us that it does work and is delicious. Love how you have Thanksgiving every Sunday!
Miss MEME I made this yesterday. SO GOOD..I shared with our neighbor. She called me today they devoured it too...amazing how this recipe worked..My neighbor is now going to subscribe to your site...Thank you again...Blessings 🦋
Mrs. MeMe thank you for this! You are a treasure to the world and your recipes... just like my grandma was. Watching you is like being next to her again. God Bless you!
My late mama used to make chocolate gravy when we were kids and served it over biscuits for breakfast. I’ve never heard of chocolate cobbler but it sure looks delicious. ❤
I've never heard of chocolate gravy on biscuits - but I can mentally taste it on the "shortbread" style biscuits I make for strawberry shortcake. That would be an amazing option to offer for people who don't like berries...or if you run out!
This looks amazing! I just lost my dad to complications from dementia a few days ago. It's a horrible disease. But your mother sounds like she was a wonderful lady. You seem that way too! ☺️
I hope the recipe helps you over this hard time. My mum died a few years ago and I miss her so very much. I wish you peace and lots of happy memories of your dad. 🌈🦘
Exactly right. Just go with the flow. I am a daughter of God and i have learned to just go eith the flow because my father in heaven already knows what i need and will provide.
Every morning my grandmother used to stop at Bojangles for a biscuit. She passed earlier this year. Hearing that story at the beginning made me feel so nostalgic and happy. Take good care of yourself, and thank you for sharing your gift 💜
Oh my goodness, I’ve just found you MeMe! I have watched almost all your videos and I feel like you’re the grandmother I never had. You are such a blessing to us all. You so graciously share your home and family with us and you never close a video without mentioning our Lord Jesus. I don’t have Facebook, how can I purchase your wonderful cookbook? And I’m looking forward to a second one lol. Thank you for all you do, I love butter too! Jenny
Thank you for that lovely video. I loved hearing the sounds of sweet voices thanking God for that scrumptious food. My Mom died from dementia. It's a horrible disease! It's so nice seeing your family gather around you every week for lunch. I don't have that unfortunately but I can live it through your family. Mine is scattered.
I’m so happy I accidentally found Meme’s channel. Makes me reminisce on my times in the kitchen with my Grannie so much! I’ve already tried two recipes that were hits. I’m going back and rewatching all the videos. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
My grandma use to make this and I was always amazed how delicious this was! The first time I watched her poor water over it and thought for sure it’d be ruined. Up camping we’d make a Dutch oven one and it was so good. Then we’d also put whipping cream on top of it. So good! I am not a chocolate lover either but I love this, I did come up with a vanilla version and that was really good as well.
Me me, I have made this recipe twice and has been an absolute crowd pleaser each time. I can’t really eat a lot of sweets any more so I send it with my nephew to his co workers and they get mad there isn’t more! God bless you and all you do to help us folks out with feeding our loved ones. I also made your pork chops and rice three times and have been requested to make it more! I’m going to save all those accolades for that video, as I think you need more engagement with us hapless people. You are an absolute treasure, and thank you Kay Kay for documenting all of this. These memories are absolutely priceless.
This was wonderful to see. It reminded me of my grandmother’s index card with a similar recipe (she lived in PA, Hershey recipes were plentiful in her index box). At the top of the card, written in her EXTRA BOLD handwriting, was “Hershey’s Layered Cobbler - !DO NOT STIR!” This came to be know in our family as “The Do Not Stir Stuff.” I forgot about this recipe until your video today “stirred” that memory. ❤ Thank you for sharing. 🌺
Well, that settles it. My husband grew up right outside Hershey. I was trying to decide if this was something he might enjoy (iffy, only because of food sensitivities!!!) but if there's a chance he enjoyed this growing up, the nostalgia will make it worth making. 😄
I would love the original Hershey Chocolate Layered Cobbler if you have it. I’ve been searching for it and I can’t believe I can’t find it, not even on the Hershey site.
I can’t tell you how much you have changed my life!! I enjoy watching you cook these delicious recipes. I’m excited about my cookbook, Lunch at MeMe’s! I make dishes for my family and coworkers. I work at a Cancer Institute. The doctors are also enjoying the benefits of me fixing your recipes. Thank you for sharing your recipes and inviting us in your kitchen!
My mother has made this for most of my 60 years, we always called it Chocolate Pudding Cake. I requested this many times as my birthday cake! And yes, it is great with a big old scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on top of it!
Our recipe for Pudding Cake used cake flour and no chocolate in the cake part. We also put chopped walnuts on the bottom. It’s delicious and my favorite cake
Hi there from NC! ❤ This looks delicious! I enjoy your videos so much. You’re so sweet. I loved the ending, hearing the younger ones praying with your family over the meal. Such a joy to hear. Have a wonderful and blessed day, everyone! 🌻🌼🤗Deb from N.C.
@wendyfowler1311 Hi neighbor! Beautiful place! Love the Ashe County cheese and Shetley Springs restaurant near there. I'm from Greensboro. God bless you and your family! 💖
I love you! You remind me of my Grandma and how she cooked. I grew up in the south, and my southern accent returns after I watch your videos. I love all the southern recipes you make. They bring back so many memories of my childhood. Thank you! I'd buy you a biscuit, any day!
I recently made this amazing dessert and served it with ‘Coffee Ice Cream’. It’s very easy to make and it’s like magic how the center turns to pudding! Thank you!
My cookbook arrived this week!!!! ❤️ I am really looking forward to diving in head first this weekend. I can’t decide which ones to try first! I have been binge watching your videos for a few weeks now. You remind me so much of my grandma, who practically raised me after my mother passed away when I was 3. Your demeanor and personality as well as home style cooking remind me so much of her! Thank you for creating this channel and sharing your recipes and knowledge with us. I don’t have any of her recipes but now I feel like I do! Xx
Meme, my husband is an airline pilot which means he’s gone a lot. I always try to have good home cooked meals for him when he’s home. Lately I’ve only been making your recipes for him, and he has LOVED every single one! Thank you, Meme!
Mom made that recipe, but it was not a 9 x 13 pan, it was a smaller version - 8 x 8. Still great with a scoop of ice cream or whip cream on top! Really brings back memories. :)
@@twovirginiacats3753 Best when it is just 30 minutes out of the oven served with ice cream and a glass of milk,YUMMY!!! I used to make this all of the time when I was small, always my favorite so my mom taught me how to make it when I was about 10 years old. Fast forward years and years..... I never had any children of my own so it is just me and my hubby. My hubby really does not eat sweets so I don't make it much anymore. I figured out that when I do make it, every time I go into the kitchen for whatever, I will take a bite or two, it never lasts more than a couple of days. Also, it is just not as good with gluten free flour.
@@twovirginiacats3753 Well thank you, because I remember it the same way...I found this version of "pudding cake" in a box (think it was made by Sherrif) with 2 pouches...1 was the cake part that you mixed and spread on the bottom, then pouch number 2 you sprinkled on top and then poured boiling water on top...and that made the sauce while baking in the oven...simple But I cannot wait to make this homemade! Look's delicious 😋

This would be great at an ice cream social! Thank you for this video. Love the stories. Born and raised in NC but live now in Montana in a little town( Libby),much like the one I grew up in.
I so look forward to your weekly videos there’s just one problem…..they are to short. I could sit and watch you all day. But then again if I did that I’d never get any cleaning done! Have a wonderful week Meme
My first cobbler was peach. Has good as your choclate looks. The Peach will always be my Fav. I might be a Cali girl. But I do Love GA Peahes!!! But thank you for your Overly yummy chocolate Cobbler.
I'd never had chocolate cobbler until a few years ago and I can't believe what I'd been missing. A local restaurant had a country buffet on Sundays. Last week we went there and they had chocolate cobbler. My mouth still waters just thinking about how delicious chocolate cobbler is.
LOL, I was just talking about this yesterday! Checking an old, falling-apart cookbook of mine, and the recipe for this was the only one I regularly used. So I said, there must be tons of versions online, and chucked it. And lo, you appeared in my feed this morning! I used to make this lots as a pre-teen in the late 60s. Love it with half&half poured on it while still hot. I always knew it as fudge pudding cake. Cocolate cobbler sounds better. It works the way my mom's old cobbler recipe does. That one's from a 1920s Gold Medal Flour sack. Thanks so much for giving us this!
5:49. I can smell the chocolate! Oh, my golly! This is one my dad would have been crazy about! I inherited his chocolate obsession. I'm mid-video and I can imagine the aroma coming from your oven. Quite likely coming out of my oven in the near future. So decadent! I have a crumbly brownie recipe that I top with a chocolate glaze that I thought was pretty special until this work of art came across my algorithm. Yum! And I subscribed! First time finding your channel, too. I see the love in your kitchen.
There's an old apple torte recipe called Autumn Harvest Torte, Harvest Season Torte or All Season Torte (it's been a while since I've seen it). It's served warm, with warm butter rum sauce. My sisters and I call it better than sex cake. Gotta chop a ton of apples but it is so rich and yummy! Ever hear of it? Kind of a spice cake base holding all the chopped apple together. Super moist and dense. Milk, coffee or tea required as accompaniment it's so rich!
I have to admit, when my husband started telling me about your recipe, I felt a little nauseated because it sounded so sweet, but we watched your video and now I know I have to make it!! I have never had a desert like this. I love chocolate cake, chocolate pudding and brownies, so I know I and my hubby will love this! It is a pleasure watching you and I'm subscribing to your channel today! Thanks so much for sharing! 😊have a blessed day!
Grew up with this type of cake but we called it Slop Cake :) Thank you for the walk down memory lane ❤️. And I love hearing about your family and the memories. Such a blessed life!
I enjoy watching your videos!😊 That chocolate cobbler looks delicious. I pray you and your family have a wonderful and blessed day. God bless you. Laura Kay
I recently got my cookbook, too, and every page I learn some thing else to feed my family. You are a true gem and treasure. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.
Great recipe to try, thanks, MeMe! - Here in Texas the ‘Pay it Forward & Pay it backward’ is used frequently in drive through lines. So glad you experienced a fun experience. Love your channel! ❤
I am definitely making this! I received my cookbook (about 2 days after I ordered it!!) and immediately sat down and read it like one would a novel. I so enjoyed learning more about you and your family and viewing your pictures. I love that you don’t complicate the recipes or use 20 ingredients that I have to run out to buy (and never use again).😂 Love your channel❣️
Thank you so much for the "review"! You are sweet and kind! You are right...Cooking doesn't have to be complicated to be good. Thank you for watching!!
My mom taught me to READ cookbooks. It was one of our favorite things to do together on a rainy day. (With a big pot of homemade soup on the stove, bubbling away.) She's gone now, but never far away. Reading recipes and cookbooks is one sure way to bring her to the front of my mind.
I just ran across this channel today. Looking for vintage recipes. I have truly enjoyed you. The sounds of the blessings over your food at the end of your video sent me into tears. I love it!🩷
Wouldn’t have thought it could have gotten any better than that scrumptious looking chocolate cobbler, but it did…. listening to the voices of children thanking the good Lord for MeMe’s food!🥰😋
Wow!! That's a decadent desert if I ever seen one. Thank you MeMe for sharing! Will make this for Christmas. Bless you for such a wonderful attitude towards life's lessons. Dementia, I think, is one of the hardest diseases on families. You don't just loose them once with their death. I lost my dad, mom & my brother to this disease. All before they were 63 years old. I count all my blessings each and every day that I don't show signs of this awful disease. Love, Light and Blessings to all!
Thank you so much for the memories, especially as we approach the holidays. You remind me so much of my mom and her best friend Helen, who was like a second mother to me … right down to the southern accent I love so much. I’m an Okie and that’s just how we talk. 😉. You even look a little like Helen. I remember this recipe specifically, but most of all I remember being in the kitchen with them and my aunts, especially during the holidays. I think my favorite memories of my mom are when we baked together all day to get ready for our annual Christmas Eve party … with Christmas music playing in the background, of course … taking occasional breaks to put our feet up and “taste test” the results. Thank you for keeping those memories alive and making me smile. Keep shining for Jesus. Hope to meet you there someday. 😉 ❤
Meme, I just stumbled on your channel with this recipe, and this looks amazing. So simple but it sounds delightful. I am a chef, and I am going to make this for myself as my birthday is this Saturday as a present to myself. I make a lot of old-fashioned things at home, including vanilla extract, honey mead and hard apple cider. There is a saying that I have from a movie that goes something like this: "what kind of person are you if the world is not a better place for you having been in it?" Thank you for making the world a better place in your own small way.
Oh my goodness my mom used to make it and I never thought I’d ever see it again we used to Call it “ chocolate pudding, Cake” I’m gonna make it for my grandkids 🥰 Thanks Mimi 💖
Meme, I am so glad that I found your channel. You make cooking look so easy. I have never heard of chocolate cobbler before, but I will definitely be making this. Can I come to Sunday dinner? 😁
I received my cookbook last night. I received it Gladly with a smile on my face. I love to hear your stories and watch your videos. You really do Shine for Jesus ❤🥰 God Bless you and your family In Jesus Christ of Nazareth name Amen 🙏🏽
Thank you! That was absolutely lovely. The cobbler AND the beautiful spread and sounds of the children praying. I wish my dear sweet late Mom were here so I could share it with her AND make your recipe. We lost her in 2021 at 86. She had a pretty hard and painful life and she had cancer too at the end. Covid kept her locked in hospice for her last year and we couldn't be with her. That will bother me forever. But my Mama was a devout Christain. Jesus took her home on Easter Sunday. Her favorite day. God bless you and your fam.🙏💔🕊️💞🍫
God bless you! I can't imagine not being with my parents in the end. My mom died in 2019 and my dad a few years before. I have said many times I'm thankful they didn't have to be by themselves like so many during COVID-19. Thats not how it's supposed to be. 😢 So thoughts & prayers for you. God Bless! ♥️
@@memesrecipessc Oh my! Thank you so much for reminding me of that. It slipped my mind. That is some comfort. My Dad also died in hospital while we were all home asleep. I had talked to him earlier and tho he was ill it was still a terrible shock. When Mom called I lost it. I just laid on the floor. That was 31 yrs ago. I'm older than he was. Both of our only grandparents died too. All 3 within a year. My poor Mom! I've felt for a long time now that I didn't understand or comfort her enough. Her and Dad always fought. And she was never a hugging or demonstrative person but I still feel bad now. She buried her oldest son in 2018 as well. Thank God she did have him and her faith! You have really helped me feel a little better. I hope she is with her parents as well as Dad and Brad. My littlest bro lost his wife of almost 30yrs in 2022 as well. None of these were due to Covid either. But we have been hit hard. My grandkids lost their other grandma to cancer a few years back. We're not nearly as close a fam as we once were but I'm trying to do my part to change that. I miss my living family and there it is. We still have a chance. Makes me hurt for all the others who have gone thru this. I have a hard time expressing my pain. It stays bottled up alot. God bless you and your family.🙏🏼🥰
@@brendairby9910 Thank you so very much! And I'm so sorry for you as well. Tho we all must go thru it until our own end it doesn't make it any easier to bear. I left a longer reply to the video maker so I hope you will see that too. I don't want to leave too many pages here again. I can go overboard. I know how upset we were not to be with Mom her whole last year, but she knew we loved and missed her. It was like living in a foggy soup for me. I don't get out much anyway and I don't drive anymore. But knowing the trauma the rest of the world faced I can say that mostly we got off better than many regarding the pandemic. It still floors me to think it was the whole world suffering the same things basically. So many lost. And yet so many still here. I wish you peace and love and hopefully better things now. I have to step back when I stress about stupid little things and focus on what really matters. God bless you! I'm so glad I caught both of your kind sweet messages. I don't often see replies so this was special.🙏🏼🥰🕊️
This took me back to being a kid and going to eat at all those kind old lady's houses out in the woods where my Daddy grew up. This was like a warm blanket. Thank you so much.
This sounds like heaven for this chocolate lover❤ I was wondering if I could add pecans to it when I sprinkle on the chocolate and sugar? I love chocolate and pecans. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes.❤️
If you are making Chocolate Cobbler, you don't need to be worrying about whether you can use 'lighter' ingredients!😀 This looks DELICIOUS! It just warms my heart when you use SR flour. That is what my momma always used so I tend to do the same. I lost my Mamaw in 89, she was 96. She would always call me by my sister's name, but she would ALWAYS have fried chicken for me because she knew that was my favorite. I still miss her. We were both redheaded and I was named after her so I was always real close to her and that side of my family which was my Dad's. Hes 85 now has a brother and sister left out of 11. His brother is 92 and Aunt Sue is 101. I sure hope I take after them. God Bless you Meme. Thank for the videos.
I have a teenage daughter who loves chocolate but has celiac, so I’ll be making this with gluten free flour tomorrow afternoon. I’ll let y’all know in the replies how it turns out. Great recipe looks fantastic
The cake looks scrumptious, but that spread at the end... Woohoo! Made me grab a plate. My Aunt Odessa would make meals like this, especially on Sunday.❤
On my...I'm sure you get this a lot but I have to tell you that you have warmed my heart so much. From your first Hello and introduction I knew I was gonna like whatever you were cooking. By the end of the video I'm giggling, crying, happy, intrigued, thankful and now have a (bigger)sweet tooth.) I am a chocolate junkie!!;) If I could have anything in the world it would be to have Grandma with me again. I lost her several years ago to Alzheimer's and dementia as well. I think about her everyday and you just made her come to life for a few minutes. Thank you for the recipe, your time and for just being you! Your smile is beautiful!
Nothing better than a fine Southern Lady in the kitchen. Makes me miss Momma and Grannie Ida

My mother n law has dementia, but she remembers she luvs chocolate. This one is for her.

You are very kind to your mother-in-law, bless you and happy, safe, holidays! 🎉❤
My mom too. 🥺
53 is still young lol
My mother used to make this cake in the 1950’s, the recipe was called Hot Fudge Cake! I’m so happy to have found this!
Wonderful! Love that name as well!!
Thats what my Aunt called it too! Love it!
So, is this the same as a self-saucing cake or pudding?
@@teeteestar3012 , yes, that’s exactly what it is.

I may have to try using the coffee instead of just hot water, sounds really good.
Hard to believe this recipe works!!! Thank you for making it and showing us that it does work and is delicious. Love how you have Thanksgiving every Sunday!
Hope you enjoy
Miss MEME I made this yesterday. SO GOOD..I shared with our neighbor. She called me today they devoured it too...amazing how this recipe worked..My neighbor is now going to subscribe to your site...Thank you again...Blessings 🦋
Thank you for sharing my recipes and channel!! Blessings to you as well.
Mrs. MeMe thank you for this! You are a treasure to the world and your recipes... just like my grandma was. Watching you is like being next to her again. God Bless you!
Thank you so much! ❤️
My late mama used to make chocolate gravy when we were kids and served it over biscuits for breakfast. I’ve never heard of chocolate cobbler but it sure looks delicious. ❤
My grandparents made chocolate gravy with biscuits, too! And then my mom made it for her children, then I made it for my kids and now my grandkids!!
@@SimplyBeautiful516 My Mama made chocolate gravy for biscuits, too and chocolate syrup for pancakes
It's so good!
I've never heard of chocolate gravy on biscuits - but I can mentally taste it on the "shortbread" style biscuits I make for strawberry shortcake. That would be an amazing option to offer for people who don't like berries...or if you run out!
@@jenellehardin2670You put the butter on first, then the chocolate gravy. It's a whole thing that can only be appreciated by trying it. Make some!
Hearing the baby at the end saying the prayer so loud, was precious. Great video ❤

This looks amazing! I just lost my dad to complications from dementia a few days ago. It's a horrible disease. But your mother sounds like she was a wonderful lady. You seem that way too! ☺️
Prayers for you and your family!
I hope the recipe helps you over this hard time. My mum died a few years ago and I miss her so very much. I wish you peace and lots of happy memories of your dad. 🌈🦘
So sorry for your loss ❤
Oh my! That looks so decadent.
Exactly right. Just go with the flow. I am a daughter of God and i have learned to just go eith the flow because my father in heaven already knows what i need and will provide.
So nice when people pay it forward!💕. Love this chocolate cobbler.
It's so good!
Every morning my grandmother used to stop at Bojangles for a biscuit. She passed earlier this year. Hearing that story at the beginning made me feel so nostalgic and happy. Take good care of yourself, and thank you for sharing your gift 💜
I share your grief as my significant other passed earlier as well. His favorite was ham biscuit.
Thanks so much for watching!!

Adopt some family... : ) Gathering around the table is good for the soul.
Thank you so much for tuning in. Welcome to my kitchen!! We laugh and I say I serve up a helping of nostalgia! : )
❤ oh, please share! 💞🙏🏼
Thank you!!
I'm not big into cooking but UA-cam recommended it and I couldn't help but chuckle at a "happy dance" over melting butter!
🤣🙂
That looks so delicious and I can't wait to make it. I LOVE the fact that you actually took a bite of it! Have a wonderful day!
It's a little awkward to chew on camera... but I try to do it every now and then. : )
Wonderful!
When my mother made this dessert, she would, occasionally, add some chopped pecans on top.
My moms says the same thing!!!
Welcome to my kitchen... all of this warms my heart!! : )
She is so sweet! You are truly blessed to have her as part of your family.
My mother has made this for most of my 60 years, we always called it Chocolate Pudding Cake. I requested this many times as my birthday cake! And yes, it is great with a big old scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on top of it!
Ice cream is a must!! : )
Our recipe for Pudding Cake used cake flour and no chocolate in the cake part. We also put chopped walnuts on the bottom. It’s delicious and my favorite cake

I recently made this amazing dessert and served it with ‘Coffee Ice Cream’. It’s very easy to make and it’s like magic how the center turns to pudding! Thank you!
That reminds me, using coffee with chocolate recipes enhances the flavor.
Sounds yummy!! Some other people have said they use instant coffee in the boiling water to make it a mocha cobbler. : )
Thanks for sharing!! That is awesome. Happy I can help with some menus so y'all can gather at your table!!
This recipe has been in our family for generations, we have always called it fudge float. I am a chocoholic and this always satisfies.
@@twovirginiacats3753
Well thank you, because I remember it the same way...I found this version of "pudding cake" in a box (think it was made by Sherrif) with 2 pouches...1 was the cake part that you mixed and spread on the bottom, then pouch number 2 you sprinkled on top and then poured boiling water on top...and that made the sauce while baking in the oven...simple
But I cannot wait to make this homemade! Look's delicious 😋

I'd never had chocolate cobbler until a few years ago and I can't believe what I'd been missing. A local restaurant had a country buffet on Sundays. Last week we went there and they had chocolate cobbler. My mouth still waters just thinking about how delicious chocolate cobbler is.
Yes it is.😋
I love watching you put together the recipe and I Truly Loved the little story about your Dear Mother so sweet and funny!!😊 Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Love this comment! ❤️
Thanks so much for subscribing. I hope you enjoy!!😋
I can imagine this fantastic chocolate dessert served with sliced bananas, sliced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream on top. Yummy!
💜Yummy banana split cobbler💜
I have to admit, when my husband started telling me about your recipe, I felt a little nauseated because it sounded so sweet, but we watched your video and now I know I have to make it!! I am definitely making this! I received my cookbook (about 2 days after I ordered it!!) and immediately sat down and read it like one would a novel. 😉 ❤

So sorry for your loss. And if she was a Christian… she wasn’t alone in that Hospice. ❤️🙏🏼 thank you for watching.
God bless you! I can't imagine not being with my parents in the end. My mom died in 2019 and my dad a few years before. I have said many times I'm thankful they didn't have to be by themselves like so many during COVID-19. Thats not how it's supposed to be. 😢
So thoughts & prayers for you. God Bless!
