    Perfectly executed with a definite notice of proper movement & power behind them. Taught to me by Grandmaster Moo Yung Lee( deceased) awarded 9th Dan, posthumous 10th Dan. A great man, a great instructor. I still carry that inspiration. Sadly missed

    now in second dan and i have to learn these 40 -50 move patterns

    • @aircavmedic
      @aircavmedic 2 роки тому

      They only become, as you know more complex with meanings & increased movements. Like others you learned, broken down in unit/parts until one can complete whole pattern-beautiful, and No, some are for 3rd & 4th Dan

    Did anybody notice the Canadian Flag in the background?

    • @aircavmedic
      @aircavmedic 2 роки тому +2

      Yes, taught by a 8th Dan, then up to 10th, he was responsible for getting TKD into Olympics. He switched from ITF to WTF. But you are correct. There should be a “Korean Flag somewhere there.

    Does Anyone have any ideas on how to train to improve side piercing kick, execute side, and keep balance?

      Here is a tutorial for improving Reverse Turning kick but the exercises can also help with side-piercing kick.

    Wow. I didn't realise how basic tkd patterns are, Really simple techniques strung together in different orders. And with added bounce too.

  • @ritaranieri6688
    @ritaranieri6688 4 роки тому +1

    nice pattern: move 14 & 18 should be middle side piercing kick (his looks high) and move 15 & 19 should be high inward strikes per encyclopedia. --nit picking I know.

      I never came across that one for ITF-trained by 8th Dan Korean great man who became 9th Dan, then “ honorary “ 10th. If I missed that one not sure how. Are you sure it’s ITF style? Regards

    Performance of the forms were excellent but with respect, lose the Sign Wave, it takes away power instead of adding to it.

    Why is this look like dancing

    • @aircavmedic
      @aircavmedic 2 роки тому +1

      The forms pre & post black bell, do in a way look like dancing. They all have meanings, all kicks, blocks are involved getting more difficult as one gets to BB level. Different than sparring, these create skill sets, done so many times, like a block, punch & kick at same time. They are a necessary component to TKD.
