Mustard Pizza: Can Mustard Replace Tomato Sauce? || Really Dough?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 вер 2024
- Before day one of their road trip ends, Mark and Scott make room for one more crazy pizza concoction. For their final slice of the day, Scott and Mark make a stop in Scott’s native New Jersey to visit the oldest family owned pizzeria in the United States, Papa’s Tomato Pie. Established in 1912, their mustard pie is a local favorite, made with a thin layer of mustard between the crust, cheese, and tomato sauce. Will this mustard pie pass Mark’s pizza test? Whose idea was it to put mustard on a pizza in the first place? And where are Scott and Mark going to sleep tonight?
What makes a pizza, a pizza? Lucali owner and old-school Brooklyn pizzaiolo Mark Iacono has a strict pizza formula: sauce, cheese, and dough. That’s it. But renowned pizza enthusiast Scott Wiener believes that the beauty of the slice comes from its creative customizability; even if it’s topped with cheeseburgers or constructed with paella. Scott travels all over America to spotlight the country’s most unique pies and make a case for whether these new customizations can, in fact, still be considered a pizza. This time, he’s taking Mark along for the ride on an East Coast road trip to try the craziest concoctions claiming to be pizza... but are they really dough?

Mustard has vinegar. Ketxup has vinegar. Nothing with ketsup or mustard is pizza.

Pizza is not a pie , you Americans.
You guys need to travel a bit further and hit up upstate/central New York there is a large population of Italians and an almost infinite number of pizzerias
Mark and Scott are like an old married couple and I love it
They definitely fight like one!
Sooo sweet.

_The editing in this show is like a bad acid trip_
As someone who believed he was the couch he was sitting on for 5 hours straight, I approve this message.
Evan Scott How... in god’s green earth can you get the feeling of being a couch?
@@oddacity5883 In the murky depths of an acid trip, anything is possible!
@Evan Scott Even feeling actual happiness? Please tell me you can experience actual happiness in an acid trip
@@oddacity5883 It depends entirely on the mood - but something deep in your conscience can bring about a terrifying experience. If you're in the right state of mind with the right people and some chill music playing then it can be an excellent time.
They're EXACTLY like a couple after they spend many years together and they no longer kiss nor hold hands but they're together everywhere.
Hahaha
I love the owner. Such a lovely, heartwarming, warm, bright and kind old man.
I talk to the owner all the time when I eat there, he is amazing
Keep up the hilarious edits. Mark creepin behind the door was second best to nice and crispy
I enjoy Mark's zero-tolerance policy on bullshit. Episode after episode, I keep coming back.
Man there better be an episode with Thousand Island dressing pizza. That will turn some heads.
Sounds good. Where can we find it?

LOLOL plot twist!
This series is hilarious
Just wait, it gets better!!
4:52 Mark actually has a point over Scott here, but Scott doesn't realize it at the time. Even though Scott is usually the more technical one.
"Potatoes weren't even in Germany until the 16th century."
Mark replies that that doesn't mean anything, because "The Chinese invented Pasta." but that doesn't mean that Pasta isn't an Italian style dish as well.
But Scott totally doesn't get why Mark said that, ha. Besides tomatoes aren't native to Italy either, but that doesn't mean tomato sauces aren't Italian style.
I didn't get it either until I read your comment. Mark kinda blanked out too over there
Yo! Mark standing looking into the kitchen after talking to the Chef was low key sneaky. I almost missed that. Damn pizza ninja.
Great twist ending. Hauke brings the energy; hanging out with him would be a blast...as long as he left that damn ramen pizza at the shop.😬 Another awesome episode.
Best drama on UA-cam
Please, please, please don't stop making this series. Another twenty seasons are easily possible. There are tons of weird, novelty pizza wannabes out there and we can't ask for anything more than Mark and Scott going at them.
#20moreSeasonsofReallyDough?
Video editors of these series need a serious raise... very well done!
The back and forth riffs between Mark & Scott, the music, the flashback montages, the overall production value, the TOPIC...Every aspect about this show outshines 99% of trash TV out there right now. Incredible !
the editing is phenomenal. good job team! you guys really bring out the signature quality in this series.
You know, I feel like I know Mark quite well since I've been watching you guys since season 1, so I gotta say:
That pause in 11:13 was definetly because Mark was trying to decide if he was going to call Mike either Mike or Tony.
I’m glad they’ve been able to keep this series going by traveling. 👍
I love the way they edited this, they had fun with it, even the small bits. It's unique.
Hahahahaha god it was HILARIOUS to see mark just stalking behind the door
These videos owe their success to the editing first and foremost
Im pretty sure the goal of the editing team is to throw away every clean take and use what they're left with.
I have to admit this channel is really good, the dynamic between you two is awesome.
There conversations are so funny with the editing on top makes it perfect
Don't hold it against Nick, he may not be able to keep up with you young whippersnappers! We go to Papa's all the time. The Mustard Pie is good. But you HAVE to have a Tomato Pie there!! Their sausage is amazing, they use fresh mushrooms they cut themselves, no canned crap. The Margherita is outstanding - And don't forget the Antipasta DiCasa - we never skip it!
Janine H this place is on my bucket list. My next vacation I will be down there.
I live in Robbinsville too, I like delorenzos too. And maninos
"I want that smell to punch me in the face." - Mark 2019.
best series ever. long live pizza
I live in Germany and honestly they put potatoes in literally everything. When I first got here I ordered a Caesar salad and there were mashed potatoes under the salad.
9:56 he just wanted a hug 😞
ErnestJoy made me so sad
This show just get better and better, can't wait for the next episode
Really, really great episode. A lot of great hilarious pay offs thanks to the shows attention to its own history. Less episodic in a good way! So goooood
A great pair and funny awesome show ❤️👌🏻 😄😄 wasn’t expecting the ending at all😄
The German pie from my favorite childhood pizzeria was a standard pizza with three toppings: Pickled banana peppers, white onion sliced thin and long, and seasoned ground beef. Wonderful pizza.
I look forward to seeing more episodes always. These guys make me so happy!!
The editing of this episode is insane. I like it
Can we please get a calendar of Scott holding the various pizza boxes? Hes adorable..... Asking for a friend
addicted to this series..
I take back everything I've said about previous episodes. This is the best one by far.
Hype. Mega hype.
The entire next episode should have been the pizza party sleepover night.
Best series on UA-cam. Love the Mike cameo at the end
And Mark STIIIIIILLLLLL hasnt killed Scott
Man these series are now beyond pizza, the guys should be actors, am enjoying this so much
Thay slow mo of Mark creeping was mad funny caught me by surprise.
The origins of pasta are very ancient. It developed in parallel, independent, diversified and without any reciprocal relationship, from the Chinese, to Italy. Simply, there are different types of pasta
You're not wrong!
Most Chinese don't really believe we "invented pasta". I think the conscience is both Italians and Chinese reached the same conclusion when our ancestors tied to find tasty ways to consume wheat. Chinese just found it earlier since we are around longer. I think the only time we get a bit annoyed is when some Japanese in the US convinced everyone that they invented Ramen when they know damn well that Chinese immigrants brought it to Japan.
Scott and mark are like the Spongebob and Squidward of Pizza and I love every second of it.
Great comparison
I seriously screamed with joy when the man himself tony baloney showed up
PIZZA BUDDIES!!
"Are you by yourself"
"Yeah it's just me - no idea who the camera crew are…."
these two have a great dynamic together. i would lov to see them on cable television. mark n scott need to go to staten island for a few varieties of pizza.
At the balcony, the papa wants a hug, but Scott rejects. Papa holds his hand awkwardly so he gives a thumbs up to them and wishes them luck. SO SAD!
Anyway, I would like to taste a mustard pie and see how it holds up.
Mark having a peek at 0.07 and shaking head is a mood.... I mean come on scott stop talking already let him cook....that's what Mark is thinking...
Best pizza series on UA-cam!
Not-a-pizza: Looks like something crazy
Scott: It is a pizza
Pizza: Looks like a totally normal pizza
Scott: It is a tomato pie
I know this episode will be good just from the first couple seconds
I hate watching this show cuz every time I watch I get a crazy pizza craving and I have to go out and get a pizza
Mark saying “deal with it bro” will forever be my favorite thing hahaha
I love this. I love this so much! This show should be on netflix honestly
i laughed so hard when mike was the third pizza friend
We need to see the pizza sleepover!!! 🍕
9:55 going in for that hug (or whatever it was) and being denied broke me.
I don’t care what he calls it as long as he pays for it.
Respect this chef
THANK YOU for coming around to MY birthplace. Currently representing Exit 130!
“Mike Hauke as Tony Baloney” 😉 LOL!!
This is the best show on Thrillist by far
I dont know what is going on, but these two have me DYING
I'm happy to think that mark and scott are actually happy i really hope that they are and this isn't just for the sake'o the show lol :D
This series Finally beaten up "Buzzfeed : Worth It" series, at least for me
That pizza crust looked absolutely phenomenal I’m really jealous
So many funny things in this video lmao
Tim and David... mark and Scott.. thrillest best two duos!
Finally, someone has legitimised me putting mustard on my pizza.
Deep down I carry both personalities of these 2
Papas is an elite pie one of the best I've ever had from anywhere.
Hahahahaa that ending XD Mark's face and that slight pause XD.
the editing is hilarious and confusing and i love it
Mark Iacono is someone that'll make you change the way you talk, when you hang out with him for 2 3 months
The editing on this reminds me of a fever dream. David Lynch needs to hire the editor ASAP lol

i hope the next season is ready before this one ends!!
This was beautifully edited. Laughed really hard.
My kid wants to go to Italy just for pizza. Fml
Just as good pizza in New Jersey, right?
I went to Italy in 2017 and I do believe I had Pizza for 11 meals in a row during my stay.
pizza there is meh. It's kinda like a tourist trap. NY and Brooklyn is prob your best bet for consistently good pizza
@Jason Lee they have max 3 toppings and like to keep things traditional. Perhaps sometimes traditional isn't the tastiest variant
I would go to Italy to eat a pizza with Giorno Giovanna
I love!!!! musturd !!! Its thin, it's crispy.....This literally is the best pizza I've seen in here besides Mark.
I love how scott interrogates people lmao
I can't take Scott serious with his car talk lmao.
Congrats on being one of the few members of the No Fist Bump Club.
We have a pizza sub at work with a pork sausage patty. I like it with sauce and mustard.
Mark in the window like Michael Myers 😂
I love your show ❤️❤️ it gets better and better
Lmao!!! This is awesome!! 🍕
As a German, I have no idea what a "German pie" is supposed to be. But Flammkuchen (which is from a historically contested part of France) is dope and doesn't traditionally have potatoes on it, just onions, bacon and sour cream.
I love this damn show !!!
This is my favorite episode. It's hilarious
