Probably soon moving onto my fourth 318is, which i will obtain a spare engine for and rebuild, your videos is of much viewing pleasure and help in learning. Thanks
I'm glad to see you build the m42! I wish to bolt on turbo at my m42 also, do you mind to sharing more detail about your build? Like turbo size, piston, fuel injector...
hi im building a m40, very similar engine, i was wondering is there anything like a thrust washer? that stops crank going back and forth? is there tolerances for that? the engine im striping the crank moves front and back very slightly and so do rod caps, i wonder if thats normal.
You can send me a DM on instagram @ Skudak and I'll do my best to answer anything, I'm kinda learning as I go. There's also a lot of people in the m42/m44 facebook group that have a lot of useful info I'd recommend browsing
Uffff... I'm scared,I not realized two steps, casually,my provider's Parts service me the same piston rings, same mark and not realized the dremel operation, and plastic gauge always not realized, what happend in my engine? Terrible... :( I hope that be bad... Referent to the development of your work equal my style and accuracy, but was imagine of make the process of gauge and rings...fuck... I'm ashole, never see this process when I make my engine, never say me my "bmw group friends" that make plastic Gage or grinding piston rings... Holy god,its critical? I have open my engine again for this bro?? Today can't sleep. Note: When I assembly my rods,my pistons, the cranckshaft, etc, painting the contact zones with Metal Lube Antifriction for reduces the first work of the pieces, and change the oil spring and pressure valve and the oil return valve of the block,ah and the oil pump :)

im about to rebuild my block for the second time and i still love seeing it done. great job
Love all the „engine building tools“ you made. Obviously an engineer.

What a clean job! 👌

Is there a way to contact you. I’m trying to turbo my m42 but I want to see if you could give me more information

it is fine without dremel and plastigauge, those are just for perfection
