This is the future. No more urban motorways in our cities. Boulevardise our dysfunctional, communities separating, anti pedestrian, polluting, ugly urban motorways of the 60s Limit to 4 lanes the Max capacity. Plant trees. Provide for cycleways. Scotland RD. Leeds RD. Etc are a disgrace..And start regenerating each and every local High St along these lines. There is plenty of money around. THX
As it is these paths don’t go anywhere and they are dangerous. They encourage cyclist to go fast and pedestrians will just walk out in front of them. Some painted cycle lanes might help if they can’t afford to link up the expensive bits that tourists will see. I’d rather a complete network of painted lanes than a few short but nice sections
These aren't dangerous??? They clearly stop cars from going into cyclist areas and are distinct from pedestrian footpaths. It is an excellent start to implementing better cycle infrastructure Paint does nothing to protect cyclists and is useless
@@James-bp7uc I hope you’re right and pedestrians learn how to cross them safely and not walk on them. As it is now lots of people are walking in front of cyclists and I assume it’s worse at night when the bars are busy.
This looks interesting. Has it changed much in a year? Do they have the city cycle scheme nearby where i can hire a bike out? Im planning a trip to liverpool in a couple of months time. Ive never been there before.
why did they use rough bricks not smooth tarmac?
Maybe those who gave this the go-ahead knew our future travel (using vehicles) would be restricted.
