However, he could have freaked out and chosen to stop playing to fix it immediately which would have been a poor choice that others may have done, so props to him. I also agree, drummers are underappreciated.

honestly it came in with like the perfect mid-verse extra attack when it fell fully over the snare and held it until the break into the quieter part of the song, added a great element of almost "extremity" and control to your drums matching the tone of the overall sound
Intentional or not, the fact that this happened right as the chorus started, and the way that the cymbal lowered on the second half of it just made it sound so much better in my opinion. This drummer handled the situation perfectly and professionally and deserves more praise.
