What do you mean a file? Like filing down a park of the neck?
My uncle had this in is closet. He gave it to me I honestly think it’s pretty good of a guitar. I’m planning on getting a whammy bar on it even if it does cause the guitar go out of tune. When I’m playing with a whammy bar it’s a lot fun and doesn’t feel as if I’m running out of options to play with different style. The only time I don’t like is when one string gets out of tune but the others don’t.
I am just planning to buy another Ibanez. You are reading my mind.
It really isn't a bad guitar. I have 2 one for ice nine kills covers and any Drop C# tunings and my other is one whole step down. I enjoy them greatly. My seven is nice to play as well.
I just bought an Ibanez Gio off Amazon Prime--about $270. American. It's understandable that it felt cheaper than my other more expensive guitars, but It was still well worth it. After you stretch the new strings out, it stays in tune pretty well.

No comparison needed. Ibanez make the worst entry level instruments. Hell, even their 1000$ guitars are of entry level quality. Try something else, don't waste your money!
what are you talking? i have never played a shitty ibanez in my life. i played a lot of ibanez and i would say they make great guitars. all over the price range. amazing playability, perfect for beginners.
+Zerusu +Vappo Riesat I've checked my facts mate, I've played them. Maybe their high-end models are great (like J-Custom and stuff), don't know about them, but every single Ibanez I played in my country was not worth half the money they were asking for it. I'm seriously starting to think they're selling us wolf tickets here. They're from official dealers though, but maybe they're sending us things that couldn't pass the QC. Cause they are horrible - like sharp frets that can skin your hand, unlevelled even, bindings are way off (yes, on every one I've seen), acoustically they sound dull, the necks feel like cut from a kitchen table etc. etc.
I mean... Having preferences is one thing (although I kinda like their necks and overall feel), but quality... that's not subjective, mate.
Well I hope the HB that I played was not just a lucky one that had no putting off flaws, had super sweet action, great fretjob overall and sounded and looked great.

One question Sir, how to change strings on that thing? Do you have to disassemble the whole "trem part" or there is something I'm not getting?

That's called 60 cycle hum, it's normal when you have single coil pickups.

lol no. "rg"s are superior to "rx"s. the differences being shorter fretboard and the whammy bar sucks on the rx models

Ibanez has top class guitars, however, stay away from gio models.
Why? I'm looking for a budget guitar, to get back into playing guitar (after about 10 years). This guitar is well priced and pretty good looking, which is why I want to get it. Why would I stay away from them? Do they break easily? Or is your comment from more of a professional standpoint?
@@dowaynebreedt2576 They are lower end guitars. Great for beginners. There is one in my local hock shop for about $100. Plays fine. I personally would not pay $200 for a new one.The tuners and bridge are of pretty cheap quality. So yes prob not a reliable gigging guitar. for a pro player.
Take the wammy bar off you will be ok. Cheap pickups , Cheap tuning Peg's. Have the guitar set up by a professional and it's fine for the $140 total cost.

David V honestly it doesn’t bother me when this guitar comes out of tune cause it doesn’t come out of tune that much as other guitars I have that do really come un tune real easy and it’s easy to tell
