Best Steakhouse is at Western Village. By far. They still do tableside caesar salads, and their steak entrees come with a starch and vegetable. I'm not a fan of the ala carte menu steakhouses have gone with. But, that's just my opinion and I'm sure many people will disagree with me.
@@amyburgos4491 Hi Amy, could you tell me if you have ever eaten at Hong Kong diner? My friends tell me they have excellent food, it close to the Atlantis casino. Thanks Amy!!
For Mexican we like Bertha Miranda's on Mill Street just east of the Auto Museum. Bangkok Thai on Mount Rose (street, not highway) right off of Virginia. I haven't eaten many of the bar food items on the menu at Susshboom Brewery way south on Virginia because I keep getting the Thai chicken wings- they;re huge and juicy, not your typical little dried out things, and smothered in the most addictive sauce. Their beers are pretty good too. Where do you recommend for Indian food, Amy? There's a couple of places in midtown I've been meaning to check out...
Bertha Miranda’s is good! I haven’t been there in a while. We will have to try their Thai wings next time we’re at Schushboom. I like bawarchi, which is in south Reno. I liked Indian kabab and curry, but I haven’t been there in years. That is located on South Virginia.
But on a side note come up to stead and eat at fiesta Mexican the chips and red salsa is fire. And I get the molcajete. Also a burrito of Al pastor. Bang for ur buck Forshure and filling gotta love it. Keep it on the low 🤫
Nice. Having lived here for 18 months, we haven't discovered all restaurants in the area. This gives us a list of new places to try. We have a few local favorites here in Sparks. Water Bar on the Marina. Old school Italian place on Victoria Square. Hole in wall Thai place on Vista. For a steak dinner, we rediscovered the good old Outback Steakhouse. Good steak dinner for a 1/3 of what you pay at a casino steakhouse.
Let me know which places you try and what you think about them. I haven't been to the Water Bar on the Marina yet, however, I heard that they serve the famous pican punch there. Also, if you want to try a different affordable steakhouse, I heard Biggest Little Steakhouse in Midtown has very reasonable prices- $34 for filet mignon, $36 for ribeye, and $28 for New York.
@Amy Burgos The Water Bar good. Good bar. Good food. Good service. Usual menu. Steak, seafood, pasta, pork chops and the usual sides. Bit on the pricey side but not too bad. Upstairs is best for a window seat overlooking the Marina. There's the Wild River Grille on S. Virginia by the river next to the district court where you can park in the evening. American cuisine with great good, atmosphere and service. For comfort food, there's Pinocchio's. Great family owned restaurant. There's one here in Sparks and one in south Reno somewhere. I'll have to try the sushi place you mentioned. We haven't found a good sushi place here.
@@beercanbrian1880 I'll have to check out The Water Bar. I've been Wild River Grille and Pinocchios. Both are great restaurants. Let me know if you end up trying Tokyo Sushi. Hopefully you like it :)
Hi Roy, the main cities are Las Vegas and Reno. If you are looking for casinos, nightlife, and really good food, then Las Vegas might be for you. If you are looking for outdoor activities, 4 seasons and overall better weather, then Reno could be for you.
Whats the age range like there? I’m looking to move out west and reno is on the list. I’ll be in my early 30s by the time I get out there and don’t wanna be the odd duck out 😂
Total disappointment. I'm not sure what the hell happened. But having lived in Alabama for many years, I consider myself a CB expert. This location has NONE of the Southern charm, the food tastes frozen, and the vibe just isn't there.
I want to visit Reno and knowing where good restaurants are is important. Not a sushi eater. Toucan Charlies, that used to be the name of the coffee shop at the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas. I plan on staying at the Eldorado. My late wife and I stayed here. Will probably stick to places near the Eldorado.
How did The Cup not make the cut? Bangkok Cuisine has nothing on Moodang across the street. Twisted Fork is an over-hipsterized pile; tries too hard to be trendy. Pasta Fresca is pretty good. For Mexican, Robertos or Tacos Jalisco (Moana). Miguels is complete dogshit, it's as bad as Chihuahua's. Atlantis Steakhouse is solid. Nevada Steak at Tamarack is much better now with the new chef and Best Little Steak House in mid-town is very good.
Sorry but how could you forget the Washoe public house. If you have been in Reno any amount of time it is by far one of the best establishments in Reno. 🤌🏻😅
What is your favorite restaurant to eat at in Reno? I am always looking for some new restaurants to check out!
Try La Condesa Eatery on Wells in Reno. They have a huge variety from Salads, Steaks, to Taco as well as Burgers.
I like Thai Lotus! They have authentic Thai Tea, but have expanded their drink options.
Huckelberry's Breakfast & Lunch off Damonte Ranch Parkway
Texas Roadhouse which is .1 miles from Huckelberry's
Being an Asian myself I am so so happy for this review. May be moving out there soon.
Happy to hear!

This was very informative. Thanks
You’re welcome!
Los Compadres for margarita's and Mexican food. Roberto's Tacos for breakfast burritos. Best breakfast burritos I've ever had in the US.
Surprisingly, Our Bar on 1st St has amazing food. Their Koren Tacos and avocado friends are delicious.
Thank you for the information......😀
You're welcome!
Pj&co great diner 💯♥️
Yes, that place is pretty good!
Everyone I know enjoys this restaurant, I, on the other hand, have never gotten a decent meal, So like most places, it is hit and miss.

Atlantis steakhouse, bistro napa in atlantis and Manhattan deli of atlantis amd include oyster bar atlantis as well
Anyone remember the Stein Restaurant? was on the east side of main street next to the river. They had the best beef sandwich with French dip.MMMMMMM!
But on a side note come up to stead and eat at fiesta Mexican the chips and red salsa is fire. And I get the molcajete. Also a burrito of Al pastor. Bang for ur buck Forshure and filling gotta love it. Keep it on the low 🤫
We have eaten that Thai rest quite a few times. It's good. Gonna try Pho 999.

When saying where something is located, saying off of, means not on. So it is better to say, such as beefy's, it is On Virginia st.
Two Chics. American cafe style. Always good food and good portions. Breakfast and lunch. Always busy
Don't forget about us small people ok Amy! lol! Hope all is well!
This is Spencer Shea btw :)
Hi Spencer, I hope you’re doing well also!
I'm seriously thinking about moving to Nevada when I retire (5 more years to go). But, I'm on the fence about which city to move to.
Hi Roy, the main cities are Las Vegas and Reno. If you are looking for casinos, nightlife, and really good food, then Las Vegas might be for you. If you are looking for outdoor activities, 4 seasons and overall better weather, then Reno could be for you.
I think it depends on what your monthly income will be and could make a difference as to where to live.
Most any city in Northern Nevada is one to consider, Reno~Sparks, Carson City, Verdi, Fernley,
@@amyburgos4491 Well put

Amy -- great video-- btw what Flowing Tide location do you recommend?
Thank you! I really like the south Reno location and the northwest location.
@@amyburgos4491 so that would be the 10580 n mc carren local and the other one? They have so many!

Average age in Reno is 36. You won’t be the odd duck out. :)
Tokio sushi has gotten better in health inspection. Pho 777 is far better than pho999.
I work at one of the casinos in Reno and it’s kinda telling to me it’s not anywhere in here 👀🤣
Have you been to the Steak House at Western Village?
This restaurant usually has great food at a much better price than others in the area.
Thankyou
You’re welcome ☺️

Tokyo sushi😂 it was very basic and i lost count how much of our order was repeatedly forgotten
I like ijji sushi in sparks
The service is much better than Tokyo
@@rodneyhoadley3167 hmm I may agree on service but the food is not even worth a first visit
The steakhouse in the Bonanza Casino❤
Try Hanna's Cafe at the J Casino,Great Food.
"Ground beef enchiladas" ? We don't even go to restaurants that mimic Taco Bell.
Good call on Tokyo Sushi! I would consider all you can eat sushi as Reno’s signature meal!
Heard LuLu's is the best in area...on S. Virginia St. I've never been. $$$
I’ve heard they’re really good and pricey too. I’ll have to check it out one day.
I have only been twice, and both times we were amazed by the food.
I miss the Harris buffet
What about breakfast?
how sushi fresh in reno ? Fresh mean fish deliver everydays i donot think so
Does CalNeva still have its special
Cal Neva is excellent.
Yes, and great food at The Top Deck! Prices aren't like they were 20 years ago, but very reasonable and large portions, great wait people as well!

The food is good, but they don’t treat people very well at Tokyo sushi

I'm sorry Amy when you said Atlantis has best buffet you lost all credibility
That’s right people there really is no good food in Reno/sparks unless you go to Atlantis or peppermill casino
