14:00 - You ain't lying!!! I'm worn the hell out!!! LMAO!!! It was great seeing you and 'Tall!!!
I like your good video. I installed one of these coolers, chrome, on my 2005 sportster custom. Works like a charm. Thanks for the good info. on your outfit.
Oh god you rolling around is hysterical! Love it!
Good evening. My wife and I just got back from Milwaukee on Tuesday. We rode up from SC. Right know as of Thursday, my bike is in the shop getting the 135 installed. Will be looking at this system within the next week depending on how my temps look after riding it. I did have the oil cooler fan and the rear jug fan installed. We will see if I need anymore. Great system tho. Cheers!
I just had my 21 Tri Glide installed with the ultra cool oil cooler. Just want to protect the engine. I cannot wait to see how much it helps.
98 degrees here in Oakland today. I could definitely use this on my Electraglide.
I saw you and rob out there wasn’t able to come and say hi but definitely did see you first time I have ever been around that many bikes
Hey John here's a true test let it sit idling in that 100 degree weather for 10 mins after u have ran it for 30 or 40 miles. Then see what the Temps go up to that's going to be a true stress test. That will tell everyone if it really works and is worth the money and will save your motor!! Can't wait
Yes, we welcome testing idling, in traffic, high RPM any condition you want to test.
I got the ultracool system on my 2014 CVO and its mounted between the A frame above the regulator, a much cleaner look. I also run the oil filter on the same bike. It made a huge difference to reducing the temperatures on the bike, as i live in the Philippines, which is very rarely below 80deg all year round.
It was nice meeting you out in Milwaukee!!!
Hey John just wanted to clarify something. You mentioned the fans come on at 260? Ultracool thermostat is set to turn on at 210 degrees. General rule is to keep the oil below 230 degrees.
Yes correct. Oil at 210F is the correct temp which the fans come on.Not 260F And I also have this set up. And I don’t see temps over 220F on my oil. Before the system install I was getting well over 230F on my oil.
@@DarkHorse82 Thank you. Yes, fans activate at 210F and stay on until the oil is cooled to 185F
With Love Jugs on a 2021 Road Glide in AZ with the temp at 100 degrees, I've never seen oil temps higher than 220 degrees. The fans keep the heads cooler, so the oil never gets so hot that it needs to be cooled, other than by the stock cooler.
What fans do you have?
Every time I think of the awesome time on my first road trip, with all the miles 2400, all the people meeting up with Shantell Williams and riding up to HD Headquarters with her husband Cob. Visiting the Johnny Cash museum, Uncle Nearest, Jack Daniel's, and Rabbit Whole Distilleries, Tail of the Dragon on the way back with a PreLOADER Nation training with Robert Simmons, I ended up back in Florida having not kept my word to see you in Milwaukee.
I posted the pic I took with you and Robert in front of Daytona Speedway at 2023 Daytona Bikeweek on the HD app. OBTW HD App just did a great article on "Shut Up And Ride"
I went to Cycle Solutions last week and snagged their XXXL proprietary version of the K&P Engineering filter.
Sorry I missed you John. 2FD Brother

Nice video keep up the good work Cycle Fanatix
John, maybe I missed the temp comparison, (a spreadsheet of before and after temps would be nice) but those head temps didn't look much different. I must say, I was expecting more reduction from all that hardware. May still need Luv Jugs. Good luck with it.
They advertise 50 to 60 degrees lower when you include the Flo oil filter. Have never seen anything even near those. This is a biased review. Not worth the near $600 imho. All I hear is excuses. Pass.
I live in Texas and ride a lot in the Southwest. I've been running fan assist oil coolers for years. An absolute must in this environment. Also, run straight 50 full synthetic in the summer months.
They also need to be located between or on the frame tubes in the center, could have been blowing warm air to the front cylinder but I dont think its much of an issue for the exhaust ports.
#1 thing to cool Harley's down is a proper air/fuel ratio! I keep my Road king in the 12.5-13 range with an oil cooler fan and it never gets hot.
I have a Harley oil cooler kit mounted on my fatbob, it runs about 250 on the highway, ran it into the city on Monday, she's was up around 330 (cylinder head temp) according to the FP3.... it was hot, but wasn't pinging yet...my Buell had the best set up, it had a mini fan located behind the rear cylinder that was temp controlled, it would kick on and off
Looks like a great oil cooler. Peace out….. gotta go get a Cycle Fanatix sticker!
Watch’n this vid. And seeing the drop in temp. Has convinced me to Buy it
I’m looking forward to when you get your CVO, they are really cool bikes.
John you need to check the temps while riding at 70 miles an hour and see what it’s at, because these M8 cool down as you drop speed or stop idling.
Yes, we welcome testing in traffic, high RPM any condition you want to test.
Can’t Ultracool make it so the wires don’t show on the unit?…doesn’t look clean with wires exposed on the outer edge…👎
John has the naked version of ultracool. They also have them with an enclosure. They come in chrome and black.
Just flip the mounts on the fans so the wires are on the inside
@@NickyRaff if you flip the wires to the inside, wouldn’t the oil lines end up on top?
Just the fans not the rad..I’ve seen the same naked setup with oil lines on the bottom with no visible wiring assuming them just rotated the fans..I have a below regulator mount so I’m not positive
The real test will be in traffic...not only in high temperature!
So, would be nice of you, to try it in real traffic conditions.
Yes, we welcome testing in traffic, high RPM any condition you want to test.
My Street Glide Special w 475 cam been running 300-310F rear cylinder head temperature in the 95-100F weather in North Carolina. Running close to 300 in the 85F. I’m using Powervision display on my handlebars to monitor it, it’s very useful. The hottest it got at the stop light is 326F. I just purchased the Flo oil filter. I will purchase the Ultracool next. I don’t really ride in the heat too much, I can’t stand it. I usually wait till the weather gets in the 80s. But, I still want the Ultracool, I know the bike will benefit from it.
Go into the Power Vision and add fuel! Start at 10% across the board. I'm sitting at a 25% increase on my 2019 Road King, running an oil cooler fan. My bike doesn't go above 230 sitting in traffic on a 100 degree day.
I recall many of us telling you it was on the right side... are you considering a dipstick thermometer? That will be a better test than an infrared temperature gun. Set your EITMS after your ride and see if it turns on. When the oil reaches 270* it starts to break down. Your testing is not reading the oil temps.
Got to hide that thing behind a chin spoiler - The real test would be while the bike is stuck idleing. If it's moving the cool air is going to do 95% of the work. Take it for a ride then stop and let it idle for 5 minutes and do an ongoing reading of temps and see where it levels off
Hey John great info, could you flip the fans around so the exposed wires are on the inside of the frame? I’ll be following this Ultra Cool fan videos closely to see if I’ll Alison install them on my big bore RG. Thanks for this great info, a lot people will benefit from your analysis in keeping their bikes cooler!
I ride in AZ it's been 113 plus for weeks, I would hope I don't need to be changing my oil after every ride...
I was a "Valley" resident and I added the HD factory fan to my SG Special oil cooler. The SG does not come with the fan like the Ultra, or other touring models with the lower. I could not get above 120 even riding out by Quartsite in August. I've got a 122 and it definitely made more heat than the 114. The other great move I made was dumping the factory exhaust and getting rid of that Damn Cat that would roast my right leg out there. The factory fan is plug-n-play, does not cost much and there is already a blind plug up front for it.
The HD fan works very well... it is a quality unit made in Italy. My oil temps after a ride are down at least 20* with this fan behind my stock oil cooler.
Was at the Homecoming biggest bike nite at the museum I ever saw. What a great Rally
Also according to the instructions it should kick the fans on at 210 degrees
Awesome review of the Ultra Cool. I live in South Milwaukee so it was cool to have everyone here last week for the 120th. I was wondering why we don't have an annual rally in the hometown of Harley Davidson.I visit the museum once every year as well. It never gets old. I just ordered my Ultra Cool along with the oil filter. JJ was great to talk with and helped me a ton. Question for you Cycle Fanatix: Do you have the Harley oil cooler fan as well? I just installed my oil cooler fan and now will have the ultra cool/filter as well. Just wondering if that will help a little bit extra.
Awesome video as always ride safe and enjoy
Met up with you and traveling tall at house of harley. Definitely getting this oil cooler. Could have used it on the ride to and from Milwaukee from Virginia.
What kind of oil do you run in your bike? That looks like a great system. Synthetic plus that oil cooler is the truth!
I didn’t go ,went to the 105 and it was too packed. Hard to find parking near by. Sturgis is a lot better.
what tail light are you running?
Does it come with an on/off switch?
John great video. My wife and I run 131’s. Since you installed it has your EITMS kicked on?✌🏻
No Jack I don’t have traction control
Does the flo filter still utilize an anti drain back valve?
Remember that's the engine temp, not the oil temp.
We rode to the 120th from Dayton Oh.
Did you get oil temps this time?
Unfortunately not. That would be the most accurate way to review the system. I don’t think he understands exactly what this product does, and how to review the results of it. Tried to give him a heads up in earlier vids to take oil temps before and after so he could do the proper review.
@@DarkHorse82 he got oil temps last time. But without checking them this time we don't have anything concrete to go by. Head temps and cylinder temps are great, but not what matters. Oil temps matter. Keeping them within proper operating temps is what's needed.
Exactly :-)
Your bike is beautiful may I ask what year is it?
Needs a cover plate designed into it
Yes, in particular to cover up the red wires and the blue backs of the fans, they look too Chinese as they are.
I need one…did they happen to give you a discount code? I’m ready to order based on your vids…thx
Question, what about water cooled heads. Does it work with those as well?
Yes, we have systems for both Twin Cam and M8 "Twin cooled" or "Dual cooled"
No doubt it works but ,it could look a lot better, nicer, more like it came from factory.
I was there. 🙌🏻
I purchased an extended warranty at 37k will the ultra cool do anything to the bikes warranty?
Not sure
Sounded like your bike was only running on one cylinder
California has lane splitting to prevent engines overheating.
Crap oil means low viscosity and low protection.
Maybe you didn't actually compare the numbers is because they weren't nearly as close to what they are claiming, at least from the readings that you did show.
Not adding something so abnormal on my bike this thing looks out of place on the bike man.
Ride it in the same scenario when silverback broke down
Yes! His bike can handle that now without damaging the engine. If anyone without our system gets into a bad traffic jam in summer heat, find a place to stop and shut it off and cool down. Don't want to see anyone destroy an engine like what happened to silverback.
You do the best after market accessory/product reviews 👍🏻
All bikes need this cooler, especially with climate change bringing awful heat summer after summer!
When do you believe new CVO head coolers trickle down to the standard models, how many years?
I find the ultracool does little or nothing.
shoot your lazer at the spark plug that is where it will be the hottest
I like motor cycle Honda👍 i pray god can make im give motor cycle again,im very have motor cycle
