I work in a grocery store and, years ago, suddenly everyone started coming in demanding to know if we carried arsenic-free apple juice, and getting royally angry when we said no. For the record, arsenic occurs naturally in apples. Making arsenic-free apple juice is therefore impossible. So this joker caused a mini panic over a naturally-occurring (and in small quantities harmless) element found in a perfectly healthy product and had previously loyal consumers convinced that my grocery store was trying to poison them with our "irresponsible" purchasing practices.
Hardly his most egregious crime, but one that I still look back on with annoyance. We actually pulled the numbers up and our apple juice sales dropped by over 25% that month and for several months after. Freaking insane. At least these days he seems to stick to selling weight loss products to the desperate and gullible rather than demonizing perfectly healthy substances, but he still should be stopped.
One good thing: I had a LOT of medical issues going on. In the midst of it all the doctors mentioned, in passing, a growth in my thyroid and then dealt with more urgent issues. While I was home recovering, Dr Ox did a show on the thyroid and that reminded me to remind my doctors to deal with that growth we’d all apparently forgotten about. And for that I am grateful to Dr. Oz.

She doesn't care about his religion. He's a doctor, so she believes everything he says. I try to tell her he's a surgeon not a general practitioner, but I'm not a doctor so what I say doesn't count, lol

That's not what anyone is saying at all. The reason Dr. Oz is a con artist is because he's saying that a single pill will make all your fat go away. In reality, the *only* way to lose fat is to eat in a calorie deficit. Doesn't matter if you're eating McDonald's or natural meats and vegetables, you will lose weight if you eat below maintenance.

Dr Oz for the longest time tested on chimpanzees so he was unappealing to me right away. I don't know if he still does but I just can't get it out of my head.
In 2004, Dr. Oz was accused by another doctor at Columbia University of killing puppies w/ painful cardiac injections while still alive. Dr. Catherine Dell'Orto heard their yelps and reported "highly invasive and stressful experiments" were performed on dogs without a "humane end point". The dogs were killed in front of one another and thrown in a garbage bag. Dr. Oz only had to pay a $2000 fine to the U.S.D.A.

A long time ago I bought a book Oprah talked about on her show. It was a terrible one !!! (Since Dr. Phil and Oz came from her show, this is why I mention this). Never did it again. Also, found out through UA-cam post Judge Judy is also fake. Her producers pay the fines, etc. It is Entertainment and Commercial stuff. What a joke :-)

Here's an idea. Maybe before people believe something someone says they should do their own research on the product. We live in a time where people are in the medical business for money and you cannot trust most people. Read about cures, herbs, ointments, etc. for yourself. This is common sense.
Too many people don't realize that all hospitals have marketing departments, to suck you in and suck every dollar out of your insurance company and take you for everything to have. I work in a hospital that has 10 marketers who sit around all day devising ways to screw you.

Well my opinion on Dr OZ is not very good back in 1998 he did a double lung transplant on my mother.She died about two weeks later from an infection that antibiotics could not kill.Possibly not a clean transplant but it’s not going to bring her back.He is a cocky person but my opinion is bias I guess.That transplant was done in New York 🤔
I never trusted or like his claims. I saw a few shows of him and gathered my thoughts together and decided not to waste time on his shows anymore. So here I’m seeing this video and proved that trusting your guts is way safer than trusting some mouthy jerks on TVs.
Dr. Oz. is a trained M.D., a cardio-thoracic surgeon. Yes, he is muslim, of a smaller sect, known as Sufi's, somewhat mystical group that is common in Turkey. (tourists may recall seeing their 'whirling dervishes' spin in trance-like worship in some places) . He is also said to be a Christian theologian, and practices a form of meditation. I don't think he avoids traditional modern medicine in his real practice, but he stated under oath his show is not a health show, (prob. more for entertainment and monetary entrepreneurialism, NOT a medical show. ) He does not necessarily depend on scientific proven research of products, but addresses modern interest in all things 'natural' and not necessarily part of any modern medical practice, which he likely knows his audience wants to hear positive things about to 'up ratings' and interest. (on his show.., but in his practice he gives patients modern pharmaceuticals and relies on modern scientific techniques in medicine) He wisely knows what people watching his t.v. show expect of him, and what his MEDICAL practice would want of him...the best for themselves & family based on actual controlled & accepted scientific modern medicine. But, hey, he is entitled to two lives, each according to his audience. So enjoy if you want to.
as for Dr. Phil...he has no M.D. but has a Ph.D. in psychology, though has not maintained his license as a psychologist at this time. He was never an M.D...psychiatrist or otherwise, but though methods are questionnable by some, at least, I feel, he is trying to be sincere, and does his research, even if it's 2nd hand or so. (Hey, never as arrogant or mean and disrespectful as a certain lady judge, lol!)...but these evaluations are MINE, & others are free to disagree,....so accept but verify when its you or your loved one are taking advice or products recommended. ) Entertainment has goals that may be far from those of any Hippocratic Oath taken by physicians. Enjoy if you want to....it's t.v. world after all.
Just a note: Dr. can mean many things....I myself looked up credentials of many "Dr.'s" who seem to be leading one to think they are M.D's, but are chiropractors....many. You can research those who do not mention what medical school they went to, etc. Google has lots of answers. accept but VERIFY who you take advice from. Peace to all.
I just scrolled through a bunch of these comments....was wondering how many of these people actually watch his show??? I find his show interesting and appreciate that he brings up various topics....he usually shows the pros and cons of something .... I understand that his whole idea of doing this show was to educate people....he doesn't sell anything and a lot of the advertisements that have his photo on them are actually not him and he has actively tried to warn people that these ads are bogus. I think he is a good man and is sincerely trying to bring about more awareness. I've watched his show for years and will continue to do so.

I can't speak for the others but I can definitely speak for the Red Palm Oil. It's an African home remedy that's used to cure things like Feet Fungus, Bacteria, quick healing of bruises on the body and people with Sickle-Cell take at least three spoons of Red Palm Oil daily for their Sickle-Cell. The_Silence Will Fall psychologist aren't doctors unless they have a PhD or a PsyD. If they have a PhD then they are generally more research oriented whereas a PsyD is more likely to be a practicing psychologist (i.e. has patients, etc.). However they are still different from doctors of medicine (MD), those are psychiatrist and they are very much like any other doctor that you might find in a hospital. In other words a psychologist is not considered a doctor in the same way a psychiatrist would be.

Nope. While he's a quack, he is also one of the foremost cardiothoracic surgeons in the world. A colleague of mine at Columbia referred to Oz as bipolar: on one hand we have a quack who promotes pseudoscience and on the other hand we have a skilled surgeon who performs complicated surgical procedures with such elegance.

I'm surprised and, if those allegations are true, very disappointed, because Dr. Oz, always, struck me as being a genuine doctor/talk show host, who, tries to help his viewers gain important health information to improve their lives and lifestyles and, moreover, being a protojé of Oprah's, I never would've suspected Dr. Oz of any surreptitious behaviour.

He said on one of his shows that Restless Leg Syndrome was caused by too little iron which is BS because I have too much iron. Mine simmered down dramatically after I eliminated all caffeine and I think that dyes, especially red dye in foods also helped.
Fyi.. I suffered from RLS too. 5 years ago I put a couple of bars of soap at the foot of my bed, under the bottom sheet. They are always there. My granddaughter heard about it somewhere. It sounded crazy but I was desperate. It works.

I'll bet the majority of people commenting negatively on him ARE dependent/taking pharmaceuticals - especially the mind/mood altering ones for depression &/or pain. +Johnny K.......Yep, you are correct. Dr. Oz (back in 2004 and many years before) was no doubt, a leading heart surgeon and a man of integrity and respect. His introduction by Oprah was great, however, all the attention, sponsor ships and the all time lure of millions and millions and millions of dollars has become his downfall and the downfall for all persons buying the products he is sponsoring and promoting. What a shame.

Or topomax which is a anti-seizure medication, it is also used for migraines and weightloss. I have severe status mountainous and a heart condition which makes me already naturally very thin, but now with topomax I'm barely able to stay at 100lbs at 5'2 and I cannot do anything strenuous because of my heart. If it didn't help my migraines so much, I'd toss them out and never take them again, I hate them and how my body looks but without them I cannot function and am at a higher risk of a stroke.

Jus eat clean and that's fine, but if u need to lose weight naturally 5 htp can help reduce hunger aswell as sweetcorn being a fat burning food, there are many crazy foods like that but u need to research it urself not watch some guy on tv

Just an FYI, DR Pepper was invented by a health care professional (he was a pharmacist) named Charles Alderton (1857-1941) when he was working at Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas in 1885 and his soft drink has yet to harm anyone I know of. Unlike the crap Oz circulates.
He is supported and he embraces back tRump. I need no more information then that. I used to support him until I saw he loves tRump. End of story.
