I love my Nomad M stove. I just went winter camping during the polar vortex. I modified my stove by adding some rope around the inside edge of my door, so i can control the air flow. Next, I want to close off the open circle hole on the top. It doesn't serve a purpose for me. I posted a video on my channel of the camping trip. My buddy has a Nomad L but his was straight out of the box. His stove chewed through a lot of wood. Mine went through less wood and my tent warm all night. Some people don't understand the challenge of being outdoors overnight and what it takes to stay warm. It doesn't matter if you have to feed the stove every hour, you're warm.
I agree, I don’t mind feeding the stove. I love having a fire and winter camping. I actually love the cold weather as well. Thanks for the comment, and I’ll check out your channel 👍🏼
I've been trying to save up enough money to buy the large Nomad stove but i am disabled and unable to work anymore so I live on a very fixed income and it's going to take me a very long time to save up so it looks like no heat for this winter . I need to get one to install in my old bus to stay warm and cook as i live in the high desert of New Mexico on my friends land and it's been costing me a fortune in gas to run my generator for cooking
If you have trouble putting the pipes back in, do this. Stand the fire up on its chimney end, put the grill part in first, but up against the inside of the ‘roof’ of the stove, then all the pipes will fit back in, with a bit of a shuffle around.Hope this helps. All the best.👍🏾😉🇬🇧👍🏾
The grate can't be on the brackets. You need to hold it to the side or top as you put the pipes in. Then all the pipes will fit. The water tank is my favorite feature.
I have the identical stove and its totally fantastic would never part with it . Thanks for sharing buddy and you will love this stove enjoy ...colin 🔥👍🏻🏕
So, did you ever find out why your stove body....was WARPING or dented as you pointed out? What are the stains on your stove? And I believe the more you use the stove... the glass will eventually clean itself?
The warping is normal from what I found out, and the metal changing color is normal as well. You are correct sir, the more I used it the glass does eventually clean itself too. Great little stove so far. Thanks for the questions.
My biggest issue is the cook lid at the top of the stove. I never take it off to use, certainly not within a hot tent, but smoke leaks out of it every once in a while even when the fire is fully going because it isn't air tight... I wish I could just weld it shut
I'm going to try JB Weld Extreme Heat on the opening. I'm going to tape it off with painter's tape to focus the material into the crack. I may have to tape lid on the interior so the JB Weld doesn't drip through. I'll apply it in thin layers until it's filled. The reason for the JB Weld is just in case I'd like to reverse the decision.
@@UncleJimmyOutWest that’s a good idea, please let me know how that works out. I may try it myself. I like the oven you have on yours, I may pick one up and try it for my next video.
@@JessesChannel The oven helps hold heat in the tent. It also stops any sparks from making it out of the chimney. It's fun trying to use it. I made cookies last time. It gets hot enough to cook a pizza in it. I may try making pizza next time.
Stove is still holding up well so far. It does have some metal warping on the sides from the heat, but nothing concerning. Maybe I should make a follow up video on this stove? Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the question, if you have a good draft going, no. But if the fire had just been started and it’s not very hot it will let some out. Once it’s very hot and going well, very little to no smoke. Thanks hope that helps

I think the larger stove would be better in my opinion, I bought the smaller one as it was less expensive and I wasn’t sure if I would like the brand or not. So far I like it, however the larger one would’ve been all around better for my needs. Thanks for the question, and sorry the very late response. I missed the comment.

Glad it was helpful!
Nice review! Looks like a good quality stove!
Your video has perfectly explained the product! We found it very useful and informative! Thank you

Put 2 pipes under the wire shelf and 3 above and then all of them fir back inside the stove. Still tight and the shelf will lean but they will fit.
I will try that, thanks.

How long does the wood burn? Is it 2 hours or 3 hours?
2 or 3 is about right. It really depends on what species of wood you’re burning. Hardwoods or soft etc.. thanks for the question
Knico makes a good stove for half the price.
I’ll check it out, thanks

Thinking about something like that for my breezeway for heat in the winter not sure yet been using 2 electric heaters
