Ultra Clean: The TruHybrid™ system combines primary and secondary combustion with a tertiary combustion using a catalyst to take care of any unburned dust and gasses.
Uber-Efficient: Unlike other catalytic stoves, the TruHybrid™ system burns clean even if you forget to engage the catalyst! Engage the catalyst to complete the combustion and get as much heat from your wood as possible.
Easy To Operate: This system is easy to operate with a single lever air control and an easy catalyst control handle. Open the catalyst control handle for smokeless startups, close it for long, efficient fires.
The catalysts used in the TruHybrid™ Combustion System operate at temperatures between 1200˚ -1400˚F, which is lower than traditional wood stove catalysts. Because of lower catalyst operating temperatures and the catalysts working on pre-cleaned exhaust, the TruHybrid™ Combustion System promotes longer catalyst life, and fewer maintenance concerns.

I HAVE HAD A HEARTHSTONE MANSFIELD SOAPSTONE STOVE NOW FOR TWENTY TWO YEARS. I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL RECOMMENDATIONS ON BURN PROCEDURES. THE YEARLY BREAK- IN FIRES. AND FOLLOW THE OPERATING TEMPS OF FOUR HUNDRED TO SIX HUNDRED DEGREES ON THE TOP CENTER STONE. THE STOVE LOOKS ALMOST BRAND-NEW.
A lot of people say that they prefer cast iron or steel, but our experience with soapstone so far has been great.
Just as you mentioned, I can sit right next to the stove and feel a nice radiant heat, not a skin burning blast of heat.
Yes it takes awhile to heat up, but it also means that it stays hot for many hours after the fire has gone out! Perfect for keeping my home at a comfortable, even temperature throughout the day. So if you are looking for a workshop or shed stove, id go with steel or cast iron, so that you can heat it up within a few minutes.

Thanks for your comment. I am building a new home and I’ll install one of these instead of wasteful fireplace. This would heat my home in emergency and is so cozy for winter.

I have the Heritage and highly recommend it. Or get a larger one if you have more sqf requirements.
I too have one. Was wondering if the stone can be treated with coconut oil? My concern is the heat issue and the oil.
Whats the difference between this model and the Green Mountain? There is a big difference in price and I am wondering if its just Cosmetic.
