Just received my first Benchmade knife as a gift from my fiance. First thing I noticed was how well the knife locked into position with no wobble or jankyness. I'm a buck knife fan and she just made me a Benchmade fan also I think. It will get some use and I will as always base my opinion on that factor more than anything else but my first impression is a well made blade.
I am a Buck fan also and I’m also now a Bench-made now! 2-great knife companies!
Benchmade is the rich man’s buck. Such a quality brand.

Thanks for the video. I don’t have many Benchmades, but I did recently pick up a Barrage from the custom shop. G10 scales , M4 tanto blade.

Good list. I was a little surprised to not see the mini crooked river in your list. My mini Adamas is sooo comfortable! Over all, you can’t go wrong with a benchmade

Great presentation man. Concise and clear. So many reviewers neglect to mention prices so that's greatly appreciated. Love my super freek, m390 contego, fact, full size adamas, 940-2, SOCP folder in cf elite, full size crooked river (smoothest closing bm in my collection). Need to upgrade the scales on my bugout. Still want a bailout and presidio. I like the cf elite, way stronger than frn, zero flex. Personally, I can't stand fde blades. Looks like they're dipped in doo doo. Lol. More top ten's, love it!
I beat my Barrage 580 daily. It's held up great for eight years. I'm a country boy who logs, mechanics, and races so my knife gets plenty of abuse. Has held up very well
I've also got the Northfork that I carry also but don't abuse like I do the Barrage.
Mini Presidio is so nice. I bought one for my brother. Gotta get me one now, great feel size and weight
Great topic! I really want to try a 945 mini Osborn. Axis lock are great for lefties. Even my Ganzo has great action, now that I tweaked it. That rift I nice. I’ve never seen it!

I traded the 9400 for a 273, my only issue with this model is the small omega springs vs the springs on the 575

I’ve been carrying my mini presidio 2 for a while now. I believe it is an extremely underrated knife especially at the price point. I rotate the mini presidio 2 with my 940-2. On my 940-2 I dumped the factory clip for the non coated deep carry clip. Now clip matches the blade and no coating to fade or come off. I’m very interested in that mini adamas, I think I’m going to have to pick one up.

943 over the 940 for me. The Freek has great ergonomics. I put Rouge CF scales on my mini Freek with a standard deep carry clip. Try one on yours, much better.
I do like my 940 but I haven’t carried it in a long time. I gotta admit that Super Freak looks sexy with that regrind 😍

My number one is the 980SBK Turret with the black serrated blade. Doesn’t leave my side.

You were the first to notice the stud or at least the first to comment on it lol. Unfortunately the steel on my Anthem was really soft. I noticed it was a pain for me to fully deburr it when sharpening so I got the HRC tested and it came back 57 so I just decided to move it along and boy that’s wasn’t an easy sell after telling them what the HRC was
@@Stassa23 wow, I knew they had some softness issues with the 3v on the bailout but didn't know that extended to the anthem as well. I haven't had to shrpen mine yet, only strop. I guess I will see if mine is like that as well. The action is the best from all my benchmades though
@@carlito5552 yeah the action on mine was awesome also, I really wish they would do another axis lock with the same coil spring setup and some bearings because that’s what is making those so smooth. Yours could be good because one of my buddies tested good so hopefully it was only one batch of them 👌🏻

The spacer on the Tengu Gold Class glows in the dark if you expose it to ultraviolet light. I just bought this one, and I'll never use it, just look at it.
Could you do me a HUGE favor and and tell me how thick the handle on the Bailout is with those scales?
The M4 version is so close to being one of my favorite knives but it's just too thin to be comfortable in my hand and I've been looking at those scales to hopefully fix the problem.
There actually a tad bit thinner than the original ones because the aren’t contoured like the aluminum ones are

Benchmades don't dough for me. I had a 940 and I did like it a lot but I gave it to my friend for his birthday. I'd get an anthem but it's about 1000 dollars. I don't like it for 1k lol. I may go in for a custom mini crooked river.

Benchmade 908 Turret, non-serrated version. Best balance of EDC-able, hard use, safe, ergo-centric, blade steel in my opinion. I knew you wouldn't have it on this list... it's just not very well known, which was a huge mistake by Benchmade. Sadly, only the serrated version is still available, and I'm sure that is soon to vanish, all in favor of the Adamas. But the Turret is better for EDC, as it has a slimmer, slicier S30V blade. On and a "best Benchmade" list without a Griptilian? lol

I've got the 940-1 Osborne. With s90v, a little bit of love and time it can be an absolute atom splitter. At a glance it can be a bit understated, just the way I like it.

2 and 3 places are ugly! 10 and 9 I liked.
Leaving out the best benchmade ever made is an absolute travesty. The anthem puts all the rest to shame.
If the steel on my anthem wasn’t as soft as it was I would have definitely kept it but unfortunately mine a several others that got the HRC tested came back low around 57-58. I absolutely loved the knife other than that oh and the dong clip wasn’t there best move
@@Stassa23 definitely agree on the clip haha! First thing I changed on mine. Haven't had issues with the steel though, that sucks man
I think I'll go with a maker who isn't anti-second amendment.
