    Ok, so his time the delay isn't just my fault! Blame UA-cam!
    Anyway, here it is the long awaited unintentional ASMR edit of our John Butler video!
    Blown away by the response to the original video. The comments and reaction from you all has been absolutely incredible and I'd like to thank each and every one of you who watched, liked, commented or subscribed!

You aren't your thoughts, you experience the body/mind that has thoughts. You aren't anything that ceases. You are the only thing that has been constant and unchanging throughout all experience.       @@simonacland9028 What is that supposed to mean? You have no idea what it's like when you hear through the walls at 11 o'clock at night a hive talking persistently with someone on the phone very loudly and for a very long time (more than 1 hour). And I have to get up at 4 am to go to work!
      Or when I'm working the second shift, I want to take a nap, but no, I can't because that same female neighbor again talks loudly or turns on the TV at 5 in the morning. so now I'm looking at you

      @@simonacland9028 we all have struggles and yes maybe that neighbour is going through something but there is nothing wrong if someone is bothered by it cause they have a life too and shared their perspective. there was no need for this "grow up" comment as it had nothing to do with maturity or immaturity

      It’s impossible to determine if a person is peaceful from the manner with which they speak or how they appear.
      Peacefulness is an internal mental state.
      You can be asleep and appear in a peaceful state but you’re experiencing a horrific and terrifying dream.

    God gave him the most relaxing voice so he could be a voice for God. He's been my sanctuary for years. Thankyou John for your insights. 'You cannot stop the mind from digesting any more than you can stop the stomach from digesting'. That's my favourite from this one.

    Man... For me, when this man will die (hope not soon) it will be like a apocalypse. I just can't without him. He helps me EVERY single time I need to sleep. It doesn't matter when I listen to him, I sleep within half an hour.

    Hearing the little gems of wisdom emerging from his mouth delights my heart. “Be aware and mindful”, “Do your best”, echoing the four agreements. Now several years into twice daily rest in stillness, this comes to me as a call to persist, and continue, without the need for validation or mental expectation, as a cel, within a greater being, trusting that all is one, all is well.

    i do get the feeling that folk like him are a dying breed, the considered inoffensive and intune with a centreing of personal understanding of oneself. yet prepared to still learn and appreciate all around. i am grateful for his wisdom and insight into resting the mind, to gain meaningful and honest approach to sleep and meditation and humility.

      Just read up on it his wife was a heavy alcoholic and although John Butler had an affair he admits as a devout catholic that he had committed adultery but he also said that he still would have left her either way. We all make mistakes but Jesus forgives we’re not perfect.

    We’ve known why animals run from humans for a comically long time. This is why people don’t just stop thinking. You spend your life pondering the most basic concepts and make up your own reasons as to why things are the way they are. Then you pretend that you know things that no one else does.

    Indeed, wild animals run away from us, because they sense our egos. Animals don't have egos, they're pure love. My spiritual teacher in India has no ego, no sense of self, therefore wild animals approach her without fear. Even snakes come to her and allow themselves to be touches, or even curl up in her lap. No ego, just pure love. We'll all get there someday.

    I love the part about HAND WRITING. I bet he has beautiful penmanship, my parents did. Im lucky to have been taught cursive handwriting. Somebody told me cursive writing is a form of mind control 😂🤣. #followyourheart #pearlsofwisdom #SAGEADVICE #walkbarefoot
