Notice how Mr. Butlers stillness effects the interviewer as the conversation goes on. He starts off somewhat loud and gradually gets calmer and speaks more quietly as they go. A truly calm person will have that influence on the people around them.
A good interviewer will instinctively mirror their interviewee to connect and communicate better. If he was interviewing an energetic extrovert the interviewer would have gotten louder and more energetic.

He touched on something that slapped me in the face around 10 years ago. I have always loved solitude; even as a toddler I apparently used to run away from mum and just investigate the park as if she wasn't there while she watched me. My siblings are 5+ years older than me, so I remember looking out the window watching them go off to school. It hurt a little bit to be left like that, it probably felt like being abandoned (to my little mind), but I soon learned how to entertain myself which began a lifelong habit of enjoying solitude. What hit me 10 years back when I was almost 40, was that although I was in a bustling community of people, happy, friendly, very social, because there were cliques and a lot of the interactions were somewhat superficial, I felt very, very lonely, lonely in the middle of a bustling socially active crowd. I realized that when I'm on my own, that gnawing sense of loneliness I felt in the crowd is completely absent. To me, being in a group of people but being unable to connect is a fate fare worse than being alone. There's contentment when I'm alone, but in that other situation there's pain and confusion.
No One is ever truly alone... But see it as all one. Loneliness... Or oneness... As you said, "its what my mind told me" what is the mind... The ego? The ego can't bear being "alone". Hope all is well.

After listening to John Butler, the realization came to me that he is an Empath. That explains the ram, his seeing deep into the soul of that woman and his love of open wild places and loath for big cities like London.
John Butler is clearly a wonderful being who has discovered what it is to have transcended ‘the human condition.’ The pace at which he speaks and the attention he pays to everything he says is simply beautiful. The clarity and courage of his ‘delivery’ comes not from himself but from the beyond that he has realised. Love to Iain and Renate for their wonderful work❤️

His voice is the groan of the trees. The rumble of the mountains. The roll of thunder in the distance. The softest winds that tickle the hair on your head.
I once worked in a rather small pet zoo which for some reason had three highland cattles. In my first days I was afraid of going into their barn but it turned out for no reason because these animals were the most peaceful ones. After some while they sometimes came to me and just pushed softly their head against my chest leaving it there and it was such a beatuiful and calming experience. So I can really connect with the story of john and his little ram.

The fact I'm not a religeous man, and yet this video hits me on a deeply spiritual level should tell you all you need to know as to the effect John Butler has on me.
That fact that this video hits you on a deeply spiritual level, unlike many of the commentators on here, says more about you than about him. If I was you, I wouldn't let this be just a one off experience. Perhaps, like him, you are also searching for something deeper.
I never had a grandfather growing up, and always wished if I did, he could've been someone like John. Thanks for all of your videos and sharing your wisdom with us. I can only hope that some day we can all be so sure of ourselves and our purpose as this man.
I once experience an ejection of some negative “seed?” a similar story to Johns at the end of this interview 53:33. After which I felt at ease with myself and the world, and come to the realisation that compassion and forgiveness is key, compassion for other beings and most importantly compassion and forgiveness for yourself.
I noticed that bit as well. How strange. I don't imagine Mr. Butler would say something such as that idly. I love how it through off the interviewer though.
I just loved this interview! What a man, this John Butler! And Iain has such a great way of eliciting information and interacting with the interviewees that it makes it such a pleasure to watch his show. Thank you both.
I experienced that incredible depth of stillness in my drive across Canada. Alone but not lonely. I found it interesting that he experienced loneliness when he was most surrounded by others.
The way John talks is so fascinating, very quiet and slow, almost like he's thinking deeply about his next words and pondering about them after he's said them.
Well this was lovely to find. Thanks so much. I am still reeling at the honesty of John Butler, what a great interview. I love and can relate to the story of the ram which comes by him when he is sad. There is a lot of beauty and so much truth in that moment.
What an affecting interview, thank you very much. Mr. Butler's sincerity and open-heartedness are palpable, and feel to me like fresh relief and an antidote to today's cynicism and bitterness. Thank you.

I never had a grandfather growing up, and always wished if I did, he could've been someone like John. Thanks for all of your videos and sharing your wisdom with us. I can only hope that some day we can all be so sure of ourselves and our purpose as this man.
Because John put all his level up points in Wisdom, his ability to make anything really interesting is such an amazing thing.
His voice is the definition of peace and stillness
This is pure gold, he seems like a really nice guy. I've always really enjoyed and found it relaxing listening to the elderly talking.
Wonderful and deeply moving. Thank you, Iain and John.
What an affecting interview, thank you very much. Mr. Butler's sincerity and open-heartedness are palpable, and feel to me like fresh relief and an antidote to today's cynicism and bitterness. Thank you.
Felt the stillness, heard the silence, saw that you two did too, masterpiece in interviewing and being, thanks!
Good Morning John Butler, may you be blessed.
He's like a universal grandpa who'll love n care for u 😊
I listen to this video every day before sleeping. Asmr at its finest
i want to meditate with this old guy
This now is it! Your wanting and desire to meditate "with this old guy" is fulfilled by the ESSENCE of his PRESENCE here now... In further words...
"Who sees inside from outside ?
He finds hundreds of mysteries
even where minds are deranged.
See through his eyes what he sees.
Who then is looking out from his eyes?"

Rumio Wayseer ....Wut.
Hunter Toole he welcomes anyone to join him. He meditates in the same church several hours every day
Per quale cazzo di motivo 😂
I hope this guy has an audiobook narrated by himself. I could easily fall asleep to that voice.
Edit: Turns out there’s a whole ass playlist on Spotify of this guy
He has his own youtube channel.
Thanks for the edit! That’s sweet of you! 😊
@@zemjawhat is it
@@memeprez1281 Spritual Unfoldment with John Butler. He also has a website I can't link or my comment will be considered spam probably.
The mystical marriage touched me
How to reconcile unity with separation is such a potent statement that touches me so deeply
I listened to your conversation for you God comes first and spiritualism. You really motivated me how important God was what powers he has he’s pure he’s a merciful creator. How can God listen to a weak human by spiritual healing or prayers. I know it’s not a wonderful world any more what happened ?? He’s a sweet God we have to feel him and trust his sovereignty.
51:02 : "I was frying eggs and things ....... Do you want me to go on?" I thought that was rather sweet after nearly an hour.
I don't know how I ended up here, but I needed this
in few second i realised this man presence its true divine love and his voice its just like fairy God bless this holy man forever
His laugh souds still so young and sweet. Just awesome, i hope i'll be so calm ja wise someday like he is .
One of the great joys of UA-cam has been it's exposure to living legends like this man, John Butler. Credit to you Conscious TV for bringing this man into all out lives!
My heart swells with joy listening to you. Thank you.
The spaces that John loves seems like the landscapes his father painted when he was a boy.Perhaps the love of his father and mother also an artist and feeling at home.I love the backdrop warm tones. It's very beautiful and earthy.
If he made a podcast I would listen to it all the time
"Saw right through to the infinite beyond. " Very poetic. That's one way to put your indiscretions.
All about being present and being the love....its all the same....finding the self love .. amazing story finding bliss...
This mans voice melts me away into complete relaxation whilst offering wisdom! ❤️
This is an incredible interview. John Butler you are a remarkable humble human being. Thank you for all that you are
He seems like a good person however I wouldnt want to be behind him in the post office queue
Forgot the post office...imagine the airport.
Or at the movie theather😂
Or the DMV
Or Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
Or play no time limit chess.
“To make whole, be whole” Amen 💗✨
He reminds me of this man i had to knock on the door on because i lost my dog, and this was like a year ago. He was a tall old man in crutches but his voice was the most calmest thing ive ever hear, he had coffee breath but not the bad kind but the caramely kind and litteraly all my anxiety went away.
Let me tell you hearing a person with a relaxing voice live has a whooolllee diffrent level of just complete peace.
Such a sweet and lovely man)
