      I was fortunate to be watching when she came out on stage and did her audition. I have not stopped talking about her since. Trust me there, lol.
      There is only one other singer I listen to besides Grace and that is Inis Neziri from Albania. If you care to listen search out "Dhe Zemra Ndal" by Inis. I found her in my recommendations after a Grace video and got hooked. I don't even understand the language. I can just feel the emotion. It's powerful stuff.

    My first impression of this song (besides being impressed), was that it felt a little incomplete, like there's a missing chorus. But it also feels intentionally incomplete, like the structure of the song itself conveys the message. The ending kind of drives that home with, "I am enough." That's it. That's enough. The song is over, and it's enough. It leaves me thinking hard about the last line and not the music. If she didn't intend that, she should pretend she did because it's genius.

    I think Grace may be mature enough to know how lucky she is to have the people that are around her at this time. When Olivia and Jake are married and gone, Dave and Tina retired and the big time fame comes she may be surrounded by only "yes people" When you are having difficulties or are doing something wrong family will tell you
    After this hopefully you played it through. Her voice is so smooth and the pace slowly builds that I found it difficult to stop replaying it

    Grace has been learning audio production from Greg Wells (Grammy award winning record producer), Ido Zmishlany (Multi platinum record producer), Sean Summers (Grammy award wining record producer). I'd be hard pressed to give her advice when she has working relations with professionals like these. I just sit back, listen, enjoy what she comes up with, and imagine what's coming in the future.

    Nice review. Grace was found experimenting with Garage Band software during the start of the lockdown and posting on IG. Her record label found out, and instead of being pissed, sent her state of the art recording/producing equipment/software so she could 'have fun'. This song was written, produced and mastered by her at home. Not bad for a beginner huh? On her album Just The Beginning and her 2nd EP Letters Volume 1, she was very involved in the producing.

  • @kaedenepowell6069
    @kaedenepowell6069 4 роки тому +5

    She just started her hands in producing, being the one to actually do it all than just sharing her thoughts with a professional producer and letting him do it. She said she wants to get as good as she can and even excel that eventually. Adding unto her résumé as one would say.
    You can also react to Happy Songs, the first self produced song we got from Grace. This one sound wise is easier on the ears than this one. Plus it has a great message too.

    This may be why Grace hasn't blown up yet. She is about the totality of her art, not about taking it apart and trying to give it a sound that might be more popular. Grace has her own sound and is waiting for the rest of the world to catch up.

    Okay, I see that you totally get Grace now. So I'm a new subscriber. Look for more of this type of music from Grace. She just said that her new EP is not being released by her label because of the covid19 virus. She said that she is taking on the roll of Producer, and is trying to finish the EP by herself, probably in her Treehouse. Her Treehouse cost more than my real house. She Earned IT. She joked when receiving an award, at the old age of 12, "I don't have a key to my house, and now I have the key to the city."

    The video was put together by the VanderVault after she released this. And yes , she received new mix equipment from her label and after two days she had written, produced and sang two songs. VangerVault got wind of it and put the video together for her. On a side note , she just said she may be producing her next album release Letters Vol 2 by herself.
    You also said something about it not being produced perfectly. Like I said, two days with the equipment and this is what came out. I have no idea what you consider “perfect” but if you’re waiting for her to be put in a “perfect box”, you’re going to be waiting a long time.

      Not sure if her statement about producing vol 2 is right she may have been just being grace. If you remember correctly she said a few months back she had a call about the order of the songs on the ep. She also talked about the one song where the producer put auto tune on the version she showed us but it would not on the new version. She said recently she has delayed vol 2 so I think its ready just waiting to release it. With all that being said I hope she drops her lable and goes Rouge she does not need co writers she doesn't need ido just her and her band with a bass player added and some background singers then we are set lol

I'm literally becoming a producer for you guys. Like I'm literally become a producer so I can release it."

      AlphaTyler No, I know what you said. I’m not trying to beat you up on it, it’s just that we all know that have followed her career that she was never going to be like anyone else. And this song, especially new reactors to this song tend to get caught by her lyrically playing with them. She leads us down a path she wants us to go down. To think about the faults and criticisms she has of herself and we all have of ourselves. But then tells us how perfect we are with them. My point is that there is no history, category or reference to call on or compare her music to. She’s always done it her way! Just like she said at the first contact, “I don’t play by the rules of the game.”
