My guyyyyyy! was an absolute pleasure coming on, loved talking to you guys, im sure we'll catch up again, big thanks for the flowers and keeping me company during my time here in Calgary!
Loved the interview, almost 2 hours and it passed by so fast, I was left wanting more! So hopefully you'll do another one in the future! Love for all of you guys ❤
my favorite part of this interview was giving him his flowers and making him laugh and then when he brought Sam on. He just seemed genuinely happy and those moments were just really fun, so they stood out for me personally. I really enjoyed this experience overall. Eternally grateful 🙏🏽
The end of this didn’t even feel like an interview, it felt like 4 friends catching up on FaceTime or something. Samuel sharing that he’s also not a fan of mushy peas as Ren, laughing, tells him how much you hated them 🤣🤣🤣peak entertainment fr
I so love to see him smile. To hear that this isn't the standard interview. That you provided him an opportunity to have FUN. I am more than willing to wait the 17+ hours. Thank you again for allowing us in.
16 hours cannot come fast enough! Two WHOLE days off... Funday Friday is going to be a foot tapping, clock watching day! I'll get some gardening done, mow the lawn... SAAAAAKE I'm getting old! I'm literally typing my thoughts out. Enough Internet for tonight....Let me be real for a second~Mmm-hmmmm 🤐 Ah-ne-ne-ne-na-na-na-na-na-ne-ne-ne Ah-ne-ne-ne-na-na-na-na-na-ne-ne-ne Genesis 🎵🎵🎵
Yeah this is the first I heard of that. Unpopular take, but I didn't like money game 3 -- I thought it lacked depth and spent too much time saying too little. The opposite of how I felt about Hi Ren and almost all his other work. I'm hoping if he gets a show, he's able to tap into the vulnerability of his inner self, or find a greater level of authenticity and incisiveness dealing with external things. Because that 100% has the potential to be my favorite show of all time.
Had to watch again! I have seen reactors hundreds of times! I think I’m obsessed! I’m a 63 year old rocker that was never a big rap fan until you and Tom MacDonald!
Thanks to you I just found Ren! And you're spot on... He is a once-in-a-lifetime artist... The interview was AMAZING and so much fun to watch! Also, thank you for continuing to support Ren by doing these Hi Ren reactions; it keeps adding fans to the club and introducing inspiration to a (rightfully) fast-growing awareness of his art! Love what you're doing and, more importantly, why you're doing it... Keep up the great work👏 Can't wait to see more! 🔥🔥
Am I the only one who feels like something amazing is happening in music with independent artists like Ren? His music feels like a promise from somewhere else. So Good Mate!
I'm with you NIna, it's inspiring and makes me so happy for the future of music, Ren even made me feel marginally better about AI and music, but not convinced unless regulated well.
No, you‘re not! Same here! Ren seems to be that ONE-once-in-a-generation-artist to connect and to speek for all of us. I love that bloke! Peace, Love, and Mushy-Peas to the world!❤️
Excellent interview guys. Sensitive, authentic, open and caring. By the way his mum and I never thought of ourselves as hippies. That was the previous decade. We saw ourselves as ‘new age’. Hard working mainstream change agents. Rens mum was working between Africa and wales. I was running a local authority arts therapies department and working in human rights based arts and theatre work as a psychodramatist in the US and Northern Ireland. I guess you would call us mainstream WOKE arts activists.
Wow you are some amazing human how you live you life's and you son is also. All I could really give was, I did not have Any kids that was my contribution I felt to a better world.
@@darlenepriest4202 Thank you. It's truly heartbreaking how our world's past mistakes and human tendencies towards greed have led some to believe that not having a child would be a solution to our problems. In this challenging and complex world, it's understandable that some may feel overwhelmed by the issues we face. Let's remember to approach these concerns with compassion and understanding, focusing on creating a better future for the generations to come. Each decision we make, including whether or not to have children, should be made with love and consideration for the well-being of ourselves, our loved ones, and the planet we all share.
I was born in 71, my parents were physicians, very artsy, laid back, open and permissive, but for us children in comparison to other “straight” parents they were hippies. In my opinion, being called hippie by your kids is a huge compliment, because it means that you allowed them to breathe, to evolve without constraints…
I am probably older than you, I definitely have children a lot older than Ren. I lost my eldest son in 1995 at 19 in a car crash & never recovered, in fact our whole family never recovered. I am 71 now & I love Ren's music. I am so glad for all your sake's that he is somewhat on the way to recovery to some degree. I still cry for my son now, my other son & my daughter & me have suffered with mental illness sincess our loss but what is worse is that my only grandson has suffered with depression since he was 14, he is now 22 , I keep wanting to get him to listen to Hi Ren as well other songs of Ren but I am not sure he will listen to me we are really close but I am not sure he will take musical advice off of hiss 71 year old nan, lol . I have always loved nearly all music apart from opera, but Ren should be compulsive playing in all senior schools. He has a rare insight into the human psyche.
@@ritamarchi2168 I‘m really sorry for your los! I can relate since I lost my brother to mental illness, he is alive, but permanently institutionalized for 20 years now, can‘t participate in „normal“ life.. we are only 1,5 years apart and I miss him every day. I can‘t even visit him, because he gets so agitated that nurses need days to calm him down.. it also took s huge toll on our family, we tried for 10 years to help him live with us or in assisted living, bit to no avail…
I have loved various artists in my 61 years, but I have never been interested in any interviews with them, Ren is different, listening to him speak is so enlightening... ❤
Man… hearing Sam say that Money Game was over 100 takes just shows both of their passions for art and creativity. That had to have been sooo much work to get right. So much respect for that grind and so inspirational as well
Honestly it's a very rare that you hear a lot of his videos are just one take, which is absolutely EPIC! BUT I CAN'T LIE, Ren has literally given me the power to get up more often, try to have more better days, keep fighting for my health, and never stop my musical passion, no matter how hard it can get, or feeling like there's no one in the world to understands what I'm going through or has the same, health issues and fears of life span and that quality of life you so desperately look for when you may not have much time left. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but also the unknown can be terrifying. Ren has been my inspiration to keep doing what I love, and keep fighting for my health and to FINALLY find a doctor that can give me a diagnosis, as the healthcare here is 💩. Thank you guys, ALL, for sharing. I can't get enough of the Ren train, and the people I've found along the way. 💋✌️ Muah! Love you dearly my humans. 🦋🖤🤘
This is one video that didn’t get enough love. Especially hearing 180 takes. All that time, didn’t get nearly enough views. But I love how ren says they made it up with the three shot hi ren. Just too much work with not enough love!
Ren is up there with the greatest British artists and he has barely started. Definitely the most inspiring and genuine artist I’ve ever heard. Nothing but love and respect for what he is doing and the message he is sending. And massive props on this interview Black Pegasus, really good questions and loved the chemistry you guys had from the start. 👍
That was AMAZING! You are all sincere and authentic and that comes through! 59 y/o ‘retired grandma here and I love Ren and glad I found y’all too! Hope Ren does a special concert for all his senior citizen fans 👵🏻
Just when you thought you couldn't like and respect Ren any more..........to have so much talent and still be humble and down to Earth is such a rare thing.
I was bitten by a tick when I was younger. I went to the doctor and he identified it straight away and got me on antibiotics to stop me getting something called 'Lymes Disease'. I now realise how lucky I was!
Best ren interview yet for me! REN is a smart smart guy He makes his fans want more with these little sessions I would not go so deep into his music if I had not seen all these reactions and his interviews Only because I’m older and sorta stay with my 70s music lol It makes us want to go deeper learn more about him and how his creative mind works somewhat Good stuff!✌🏼
I love seeing Ren in interviews, he relates so naturally. "It's not ALL about ME", is built right into his bones. His relationship with Sam starting with seeing a kid on the street struggling and stopping to give him a boost for no other reason than "because I CAN" Is like the story about the Knight's servant who found the Holy Grail;. "I wasn't seeking the Grail. I only knew that you thirsted"
This is now the gold standard of Ren-terviews by which all others will be measured. You've set a very high bar that should motivate other reactors in the event that Ren is inspired to agree to anymore interviews in the future. He's such a deep subject that an interview could go on for hours and be interesting...in the hands of a skilled, well-prepared interviewer. You brought your A Game, thank you!
It was a phenomenal conversation! You got around so many things - and to see you connect on such a level where you could both laugh, be touched and get around serious things, it was unique. Ren is so intelligent, interesting to listen to and down to earth. 2 hours flew by. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To both you 2 and to Ren and Samuel 🙏❤ Am such a big fan of all 4 of you.
All of Ren's interviews have been great so far but this one has been my favourite. The flow of conversations, the raw sincerity and appreciation for one another really shows. Amazing 👏
I found Rens music at the perfect moment in my life, Hi Ren hit me in a way it rattled the cage of my entire being, I couldn't thank Ren enough for that, the course correction I have done since that moment has brought me out of a miserable existence, it convinced me to talk to somebody and reach out to friends and have real conversations about how I was not doing so good and ask for help, it feels like lifes really turning a positive corner, and my shoulders feel lighter of burden and all this because of one heart felt song from a talented young artist, you didnt change my life Ren but you did inspire me to not feel useless and to stand up on my own two feet and move forwards, thank you from the bottom of my heart
I’ve seen all Ren’s interviews. I’m not kidding yours was the best. It was just like a bunch of buddies kicking back. And much blessings to your family, especially your daughter. Love Great Grandma ❤️❤️👵🏼
Wooow. Thank you all 3 for the transparency and allowing space for vulnerability. It's nice that there's a space on the internet where people are for people. ❤
At the 1:37:23 mark... What he says is beautiful and unique in the industry. "If I really believe in this person, how can I make them shine the most." How great of a life would it be? If everyone held that ethos? Love you guys. And love ya Ren.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed watching the palpable, mutual love and respect empower the candor and the laughter in this interview. The 3 of you then the 4 of you must have also felt it since the interview lasted a glorious near 2 hours that felt like 15 minutes. And then the Genesis-Mushy-Peas tribute on your other drop!! Epic homage! Love can spread. And we are watching it happen. I nominate Ren for Philosopher King.
What a treat. Beautiful, brilliant, broken, brave, add informed, empathic, visionary and that was just Ren. Brilliant well paced interview. Bravo 👏🏽 👌🏽
This is , by far, the best, most relaxed and free flowing interview Ren has done yet. What an amazing couple of hours. FUQ boys aint just made for reactions but interviews are carried out with class like they have been doing it for years. Keep up the good work.
The interview was epic. Then Sam came on…..it then became legendary. Having ADHD myself I was almost close to tears. Well done 40 year old BOYZ! ❤ My favourite part was from around 59:20 when the talk got into SM and the juxtaposition between good and bad. Gosh, it’s so true. One of the most truthful and awareness conversations I’ve watched on UA-cam. PL&H my friends.
I'm not usually one to be inspired to listen to 2 hours of interview with artists. It had me hooked like the best of Rogan. I'm really excited to say that I enjoyed all of it, especially when you diverted from music to humanity, communism, social media and the complexity of our society etc... Ren's outlook is fantastic; broad minded and very deeply thought through. What a humble and empathetic man! Loved the sayings and occasional use of slang. I heard words I never expected (eg. Homeostasis) "We've just made it really complicated because we are complicated people." Is my favourite statement. Loved hearing from dad in the comments section too. I hope that I have done half as good a job at rearing my daughter.
Ren is an incredible artist, one of the greatest of our time. His down-to-earth honesty and ability to convey universal struggles are truly remarkable. I'm in awe of his talent and inspired by his authenticity.
Greatest respect for BP and Co, and Ren (and yes, I agree-genius). From my position as a dyed in the wool Luddite , from way back back (ironically, I destroy nothing, but have had lots of rugs pulled from underneath me) and having witnessed a lot of those changes that we still undergo, but the marveling is further afar now (my Nana churned butter for a living and took it to town via horse and buggy and they fetched their own water from the river a 1/4 mile away and when I was a little grrrrrl, it was the big "C" in Voldemort fashion because that was a literal virtual death sentence at the time. As a small matter of fact, my birth made front page in Ft. Wayne with an accompanying photo, because as a premie, I got to spend a month in a new fangled machine, they called an incubator). Anyhow one small point about AI for artists, at least for the visual art, as my community are authors, illustrators, et al., the AI doesn't create anything. It takes images already created without permission, knowledge, and compensation. Part of the "discussion" of the SAG-AFTRA strike, was the fact the studios wanted extras to come in for a days work, that they were actually willing to pay for, so they could VR the actors image indefinitely afterwards, and keep the rights to and thereby knock the production costs way down. In the 80s-90s I made far more with my calligraphy and paste up and layout skills. The computer completely sacked those things. I have far, far more knowledge and skill now, with having to learn the various programs, etc, on top of the other skills, such as drawing and "authoring", that have only gotten deeper and more well rounded, but getting purchase (pun intended) in today's market is far more tenuous. I will think more on the subject, and I find Ren's idea of growing with the tech intriguing. I am not convinced however, as I've been doing that for the last forty years and it really hasn't been as beneficial as anyone could hope. Long point, sorry, but the other thing? THANK YOU FOR THE INTERVIEW.
Props to you 40s for rising to the occasion! Loved the thoughtful selection of questions, loved the way you handled it, loved the flow of the conversation. We learned a few things about Ren and Sam, but also about the two of you. All of you together just created something beautiful and meaningful. Enjoyed it completely. Thank you. We love Ren, but we love you too. 💐💐 Ren and Sam, 💐💐. Well deserved. Edit: Loved hearing your thoughts, and keeping our fingers crossed that the Netflix ppl open their eyes to what you are about to create. If not... you'll just have to make your own company that will do it🙃
It's hard for me to find the time and patience to watch a 2 hr interview. I watched the entire thing and could have kept watching. I'm 52, a big fan of all you young men. I do not take conversation for granted, especially conversations with intelligence and substance. Great interview
I was so excited for you guys to get this interview. Keeping it real, I was cautiously optimistic about how it would go, but I didn’t know how your guys skills as content creators would translate into having a dynamic interview with such a force of nature as Ren. You guys took that $h!t to the FUQ-in crib!!! People!!! Pay ATTENTION! This is how you treat people. Don’t have to agree on everything. Be kind. Have respect for the individual. Put others ahead of yourselves. Simple, right? That last concept is the kicker. Not easy for a lot of us. Here you’re seeing 4 individuals who’ve never met achieving just that. P, getting emotional opening up about his daughter and her treatment. MAN $H!T! Then, your reason for bringing it up is the climax of the interview for me. I’d heard you talk about wanting to ask him about that, and my assumption for the reason couldn’t have been more polarized. When it became apparent that your reason was out of concern for this man you’ve never met, it got me. I don’t know how the classical journalism community would view your style, doesn’t matter. That’s the best “interview “ I can remember watching. Raw. Unfiltered (your bro crushed the editing). Emotional. Real. I don’t even know you fellas, but I’m FUQ-in proud as hell of you. Thank you!🙏
Dudes what an amazing interview. I have seen all of his interviews but you guys get it the most. I am 66yrs old and after listening to Hi Ren just like you I cant get enough. I grew up in the greatest times of Classic Rock -Zepplin-Pink Floyd-Stones-Rush-Sabbith- ect.. And I have not been this excited about a new artist until now. REN is so genuine, up front and honest. The health issues he has had to deal with would of broken most people but he has stood the time and now he may be seeing the rewards of his courage and determination. I love that you bring in special artists to react with you, that is so speccial. Thanks so much for reacting to his art, I rely on you among a few others to help break down his music helping me understand the language lol I am old school rock and roll. Keep on doing what your doing brothers. Much Love, from Kentucky.
I'm 52, my first rainbow gathering was 1975, I was 4...been going to gatherings all over America ever since...just glad to hear others with a similar experience...big fan of both of you guys and Ren! Real people being real...
Still not finished it yet, but been an awesome conversation so far. Beautiful moment there BP opening up about your daughters stem cell treatment and seeing the emotion in yourself, must've been a hellish time. Glad she's on the mend my man.
That was a really great interview, and how lucky we were to also get Sam. BP, you did a good job of not overlapping questions from Ren's other interviews. Thank you so much boyz, all 4 of you!!
I've just come back from a Welsh festival and seeing the kids make friends, selling music, etc... so totally loved this interview with Sam and Ren's friendship originating from that! The best interview so far as felt the friendship, respect and common thoughts together. Thanks man x
Ren is such an amazingly talented person, but also comes across as very genuine and such a cool guy, like someone you could just hangout with and get into deep, interesting conversations. Much respect.
Thank you all so much, such an enjoyable interview, def could feel all the love ❤ so excited for Ren and Sams future projects too. Whatever this culture is gonna be called, im here for it 😊 much love all xx
That was awesome when Sam came in. They're such good friends. Sam was even moving the mic for him after he had finished speaking, so you guys could hear him properly. So nice to see such an awesome interview, and then top it off with such a nice friend/man/myth/legend Sam coming in to the mix too ❤
I hope you caught those artists he dropped when talking about busking: Tasha Sultana, and AnnenMayKantereit. You have to check them out. Sultana is a Jedi level looper, singer, and multi-instrumentalist and Henning May's voice is epic.
I’m sorry but I had to come back and comment again after hearing BP’s testimony of his experience with the healthcare system in America with his daughter. Thank you so much for sharing that. I can’t explain how much I needed that. This year I’ve experienced so many health problems that stopped me from working and has completely hindered my career and ruined my life. I’ve tried everything. 6 doctors. Homeopathic doctor. UA-cam doctors. FB groups. You name it but nothing has helped. This was the first reason I was drawn to Ren during these dark uncertain times. God Bless both of you and your daughter BP. Thank you Jesus she, like Ren said, had such proactive parents who loved her so much they went to another country to find treatment. I too have had a health problem that C0VID/LongC0VID created on top of the tumors I’m dealing with. Please pray for me as I will for you and your family. Please have Ren back soon. So much love for y’all. ❤❤❤
I felt your emotion in this and I couldn't watch this without giving back. Adding that the more I listen to Ren, the more I want that Netflix series. And I'd box everyone who didn't like it.
BOYZ! Not knocking his other interviews luv those reactors,.. I forced myself to wait for the BOYZ! Might be I’m a 47 year old fuq boy myself, felt I’d relate better! Must say well worth the wait! Great job guyz! Ren is something special! Checking out his catalog of music is like getting a history lesson of all the greatest music throughout history!
Such a eloquent man. Great interview! I’m turning the corner on 60 and I never thought I would see musical genius again and it makes me so f**king happy! Sorry, Bruce, sorry Bono I’ve got a new favorite!
As has been said, I truly hope that the movement behind truly great artists like Ren is a sign of a transition and awakening away from big labels that give nothing to artistry and just take away from those that deserve recognition. We have to stop giving these corporations power to tell us what is popular and what we want to listen to. Ren writes from the heart as well as from a social and political standpoint that we all need to truly listen to and understand... I cannot think of any artist in my lifetime that has the potential to truly awaken something in the masses and bring about positive social change... Keep doing what you're doing .. thank you for being real and giving us faith in humanity again...
This was just amazing! I just love Ren so much, and I love you guys for supporting him and believing in him like we do. Your channel is by far my favorite channel to watch. Thank you love you guys. Much love to Ren and Sam. I can not wait, and I am so excited at what the future holds for Ren and all the talented people he works with. ❤❤❤
1:25:10 I didn't think the reason I would be crying in a Ren interview would be because of Don... Obviously he shared that because of the connection with Ren. That was a very touching story man... I hope you get over these feelings of guilt... You're a great guy man it's easy to see. Ren being the person he is reply's with helping words of encouragement that I know he has never heard before.... Ren being a complete stranger has so much empathy he saw guilt written all over Don's face and said the PERFECT words of wisdom to help heal anyway he could... Edit: Lastly I'll say to BlackPeg, AMAZING interview man I'm not just saying that... Loved and watched every second of it. Gave your parody a watch and like also. Thank you for the Interview.
Hey everyone! Just finished watching the interview with REN, and I must say it was absolutely fantastic! It provided such great insight into what REN is all about. I'm really excited about the possibility of seeing episodes featuring REN on Netflix. That would be amazing! What truly struck me about the interview was REN's unique type of artistry. It's refreshing to see someone pushing boundaries and exploring new artistic frontiers. It's artists like REN who challenge the status quo and bring something fresh to the table. One aspect of the interview that stood out to me was the discussion on the positive and negative sides of capitalism and communism. It's essential to acknowledge that these systems have their strengths and weaknesses. Finding a balance, just like the one REN talked about, is crucial for us as a species to thrive. Instead of categorizing everything in life, it's important to embrace complexity and understand that things aren't always black and white. Overall, I'm thrilled to be on this journey alongside REN and witness such a unique form of artistry. It's a reminder that there's so much more to explore and discover in the world. Let's keep supporting artists like REN who challenge our perspectives and make us think beyond traditional categories.
Sorry guys I'm a little late to the party with Ren & you all. This is fantastic ... It definitely gives hope with love & harmony to all. Thanks for this great content ✨⭐🧡🧡🧡⭐✨
BP when you mentioned in other videos that you wanted to speak to Ren about stem cells I thought it was just because it's something you both had experience with. Then towards the end of your story about your daughter I realised you were telling him because it could be something that could help him with his health and it was so heartfelt I teared up. You could really feel how much you wanted him to know in case it could help and how much you, like all of us, want Ren to be healthy and happy. It really stood out to me ❤ Anyway, thanks to you both, to Ren and to Sam for an amazing interview, I absolutely loved it and hope you can do it again 🫶
With each time I hear Ren speak in interviews I feel like I learn more in say 60mins than I did my entire time in school.. so intelligent and well spoken.. amazing interview best one I’ve seen yet
Love Ren!! Love the creativeness fun and exploratory aspect of what he does. I hope he stays humble like he is now, that's what people are keying in on. His talent is from his humble heart.
Guys, this was awesome. WAY worth the wait. I want to truly THANK YOU. Seeing him smile AND have fun. Priceless. I enjoyed the interview. Great questions, great answers. It was a nice conversation as well. Well done, BOTH of you. Now, I'm off to watch Mushy Peas. All my love, Dawn
I knew the guy was switched on from his music and his lyrical insights etc. But, what I didn't know was just HOW deeply switched on he is. We're talking like sub-harmonics type switched on! I loved his take on how we should borrow the elements of all the "ism" forms of government and social structures that are best for the good of mankind and incorporate them into each other, then throw away all the rest. I also liked how he was talking about a greedless social media helping to connect everyone rather than mine their attention and segregate your mind, the exact opposite of what it should be. I had to check that he hadn't been in my head and had a good old dig around!! He's certainly one of life's peoples that I would absolutely love to sit down with, blaze up with and shoot the breeze with! It would be very life affirming, thought confirming and enlightening on many a level! I hope that his mindset translates through his music and gets into people's consciousness through osmosis. It's great to see and hear someone of that generation who is not only eloquent in his lyrics at conveying this, but, someone who is firmly believing in what he says. Totally one of life's good ones.
I love listening to Ren speak he is very articulate, intelligent and engaging. He has great insight and interest in a lot of subjects. It's great to hear his positivity and if more people tried to be as positive then life would be a bit brighter for everyone. As a fellow introverted overthinker I often wonder do people think in a similar way to myself about anything and everything im glad its not just me. Such a great interview. Thank you FUQ boys ❤
I’m so glad I’m still in the world to have discovered REN. You guys have really enhanced my journey in Ren and understanding hip hop. I feel I’ve learned a lot.
Great interview guys! It took me 9 years to get diagnosed with my chronic illness. I'm starting to feel better thanks to treatment. Hearing Ren speak about his illness is so important to me, makes me not feel so alone in my struggle.
If we can learn anything from watching Ren, we should learn that having people in your life that genuinely love you and want you to succeed is a very important key to life. Loved having Sam come in on this interview to get to see their dynamic like we've seen with Ren and Sam Tompkins and Gorran, Romain, and Glenn! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
That was the first thing I said was it was beautifully raw that human beings go through. No one has ever been able to put that into words as much as I've ever heard. Thanks for this interview and thanks Ren for helping me to enjoy this side of music again at the age of 68. My whole life was about music up until about 10 years ago. I literally stopped listening to music until I watched Hi Ren and then I was hooked. It's nice to see Sam alive and well after that guitar shooting and the camera fell. Nice job you two. Your one shot is like putting on a musical on stage. The entire night is just a performance straight through.
Great interview guys. Compared to the other Ren interview I watched ya'll nailed it. You let him talk without your ego getting in the way. Matter of fact, ya'll shut up, and listened intently the very moment he started to talk. It's clear to me you did that because you wanted to hear him speak and not yourselves. Because of that I got to hear what I came for and you got to hear what you were genuinely interested in. That's how an interview should be. You showed deference to the guest and let him extend his thoughts. Because of that I learned a lot. Thanks It was great to listen in depth about the musical process. It was great to hear about current social media and political dispositions. It was great to hear about the creative process. It was great to hear people talk about how we navigate our personal lives, problems, our families lives, and personal ambitions. Those who want to learn or understand will listen to those whom they speak to. And that's why you made a good interview IMO.
This was superb - It felt like watching 3 mates (4 with Sam!) at the pub having a beer and just chatting the night away. So much came out of this without having to ask a question ! Pure brilliance and it really shows how you all do this out of passion for what you do. I laughed , listened, connected, cried and laughed some more. So excited for what's coming up in the future for you all! Cant stop sharing the message about Ren with anyone that will listen and then cant stop telling people to watch BP and Don to watch them listen to Ren. One big circle of love!!
I heard about Ren whilst researching the all shades of awesome Cousin Joe Twoshacks (if you are an oldie like me, you will know who this legend really is;) He said on his Twitter that HI REN is the most incredible art performance he has ever seen. High praise indeed, from Joe Cartoon, so I tracked it down. I am 50 and have never bought a single rap track, just never resonated with my Led Zeppelin, Beatles, ZZtop loving soul. Well I'm resonating now lad, you ARE a Genius! In a world full of auto tune and duck lips, you got this Gen X menopausal partridge reaching for her MP3 player again. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much, Boyz, for this lovely interview. It was a busy week, finally listening after much anticipation. Dang, this is a real conversation! Being old has its advantages, and one of them is having lived through lots of the of the musical styles and social ripples that he talks about. I can hear those influences in his music and ideas - love it! The 60s got loud about some of the issues - race, capitalism and corporate greed - but they were shut down beginning in the 70s and disappeared into some PR flack’s filing cabinet in the 80s. Bring it on! Namaste, boyz and Ren.
As a full on raver in Brighton 1991-94 - lived for the weekend that would start on Thursday and finish Wednesday morning lol its great to hear ren talk about what a huge cultural shift it was back then especially in Brighton, UK!!!
what an excellent interview, watched every minute. I've watched JHRA and Rosalie and now this one. They all had their moments. What I liked about this one was the prep questions, the origin story, his collabs, and just some insight to his thought process. Having Sam on was an excellent bonus. He gave a great interview in his own right. Well done BP and FUQ Boys. Now I have to watch Victoria, Rise of the Foot Soldier, and Quadrophenia.
Truly love your content! I discovered Harry Mack through you! And all of your guests are amazing. I subscribe to them all now and love their content too. And your daughter is my four-year-old niece's fave!!
Although I want to keep Ren all to myself, he NEEDS to blow up. I have a feeling his next hip hop album and the one after are going to absolutely explode. Ren, are you even ready??!!
I can totally picture Ren’s musical show. Part of me thinks he’ll fare better crowdfunding it to an independent platform and keeping the Netflix suits out of the production.
I was only going to watch five or ten minutes of this interview because I had things to do today. Couldn’t stop watching until the end because I was engrossed, and I will almost certainly watch it again. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually wish the interview had been twice as long!
This was my favorite Ren interview I have seen. You got more personal with him and he is the most humble artist ever!! I cried when I heard about your daily and am so happy things are looking up. Shout out from your fellow Coloradan!!❤️❤️❤️
That was truly awesome. Thanks #Don, #Ren, #Sam and you #BP. So insightful and informative. Ren is an absolute joy to support. I hope my son grows up to be like Ren. I unsubscribed from #Netflix because of integrity issues Netflix have, but if they support Ren and Sam I will subscribe again. #BP I'm so glad your little girl is over the worst, kudo's to you and Mum for doing everything in your power to give her the chance at having a healthy life. One lucky little girl having you both for parents. #Don I'm so glad your bro getting there with his health. You can't blame yourself for not understanding his condition, not if Doctors can't either. All this info you guys are putting out there is big help to humanity and treating Lyme Disease. I really love supporting your channel. I'm here for as long as I can afford to be in that way, but will always be a fan of your channel and the humans you all are regardless. Thanks again for all the hard work you put in❤🔥
This interview made me even more of a fan of all of you. I was extremely moved by your discussion of your family's struggle with your daughter's illness and equally thrilled that you found remedy for her illness. Thank you for sharing it with your audience and equally important, with Ren. It may be info that will benefit him and some in your audience. Thank you for supporting Ren. I think of him as an advocate for all people with auto immune disease and medical struggles. He is brilliant and brilliantly talented. He's so proficient at relaying meaningful messages that the whole of humanity needs to hear. He helps so many people by sharing of himself and you aid in spreading those messages. You're awesome and I truly appreciate you and your work.
man i just had a major surgery, in a lot of pain having had a 4cm tumour removed from my face. This is just what i needed. for nearly 2 hours ive been able to take my mind off the pain and sit down with 3 friends and just chill. Thank you all so much.
Great interview, I was really surprised. He only talks to his parents every couple of months. I guess everyone has a different dynamic. Just figured they would be closer.
My guyyyyyy! was an absolute pleasure coming on, loved talking to you guys, im sure we'll catch up again, big thanks for the flowers and keeping me company during my time here in Calgary!
Love ya bro, hope Banff is treating y’all right!!! Keep fighting the good fight and stay healthy my friend 🙏🏽
Really enjoyed this interview. Thanks to you all
Well I'm back from a battery running out, home now so finishing it to this intelligence 🥂🍾 button up👔 thank y'all 40's♥️🇿🇦
Your idea for shows made me think of Banksy ;)
Loved the interview, almost 2 hours and it passed by so fast, I was left wanting more! So hopefully you'll do another one in the future! Love for all of you guys ❤
my favorite part of this interview was giving him his flowers and making him laugh and then when he brought Sam on. He just seemed genuinely happy and those moments were just really fun, so they stood out for me personally. I really enjoyed this experience overall. Eternally grateful 🙏🏽
💯
Yes. You brought out his playful side, and I love it! We could see you all having fun, and it was fun for us to watch too. Well done!
Enough Internet for tonight....Let me be real for a second~Mmm-hmmmm 🤐

I'm 71 and thought the rest of my life would be spent listening to the Golden Oldies from the sixties. Then along comes Ren......
I thought the same thing!!!
Love that cos I'm 55 I thought I might be the oldest new fan 👍
😮Oh je vous rejoins complètement puis REN arrive dans ma vie... INCROYABLE CE REN IL EST PUR GÉNIE...

I'm 44 and I'd given up with music...everything new was format format. I've been bored now we have Ren !
I NEED a dark musical series from Ren on Netflix DESPERATELY. I can’t wait. We gotta start prayin’ NOW lol
Definitely and alson🎉mushy peas rule !
Had to watch again! I have seen reactors hundreds of times! I think I’m obsessed! I’m a 63 year old rocker that was never a big rap fan until you and Tom MacDonald!
Wonderful conversation! It's nice to hear men opening up about emotional things.
Ren is so genuine he’s a lovely human being who makes fantastic music.
@zed4225 I feel you! 💕 I am very skeptical too, but, I am using it to learn music and it is very helpful!
Too right! 😁
No, you‘re not! Same here! Ren seems to be that ONE-once-in-a-generation-artist to connect and to speek for all of us. I love that bloke!
Peace, Love, and Mushy-Peas to the world!❤️
You just summed up what I been thinking... its a new dawn in music.

Who is ren
Not only is Ren an amazing musician and a awesome song writer. He's also wide awake to all the bullshit we're currently living through ❤️
Excellent interview guys.
Wish this could be more. Thanks for what you're doing for our guy Ren. This interview is one for the history books.
Spot on, Sir 👏
Legendary interview for sure
Man… hearing Sam say that Money Game was over 100 takes just shows both of their passions for art and creativity. That had to have been sooo much work to get right. So much respect for that grind and so inspirational as well
I feel bad for Romain.
@@greynoise1409 😂
There's so much artistic energy in all of them, so inspiring just so much warmth and openness to life
This is one video that didn’t get enough love.
Hit me up if you need a companion for the concert or we could do the festival thing. We are the original hippies!
Hey, I agree, i just turned 57 and I am so excited about his music. I have children his age age and he helps me understand their generation. ❤️❤️
I’m 57 and my parents were hippies. I’m second generation, my daughter is third generation and she is 26 and my son is 16
I am 72 and my mom was a beatnik, and I was a hippie.
Just when you thought you couldn't like and respect Ren any more..........to have so much talent and still be humble and down to Earth is such a rare thing.
And super intelligent
I was bitten by a tick when I was younger. I went to the doctor and he identified it straight away and got me on antibiotics to stop me getting something called 'Lymes Disease'. I now realise how lucky I was!
Best ren interview yet for me!
REN is a smart smart guy
He makes his fans want more with these little sessions
I would not go so deep into his music if I had not seen all these reactions and his interviews
Only because I’m older and sorta stay with my 70s music lol
It makes us want to go deeper learn more about him and how his creative mind works somewhat
Good stuff!✌🏼
The best so far. I love Knox for sure and Rosalie’s interviews were great. But this was epic. In every sense.
@@thebritishbushman8389 Agree
All of Ren's interviews have been great so far but this one has been my favourite. The flow of conversations, the raw sincerity and appreciation for one another really shows. Amazing 👏
Absolutely incredible! I knew you’d do an awesome job because you have guests so frequently but the flow of this was impeccable 🙌🏼
Thank you as always Leeann ❤️
This here is what we need to hear more of. So happy that you're living again, happily.
So much respect for Ren…his depth of knowledge of music and where it comes from is just wonderful. It definitely shows in his output.❤
I’ve seen all Ren’s interviews. I’m not kidding yours was the best. It was just like a bunch of buddies kicking back. And much blessings to your family, especially your daughter. Love Great Grandma ❤️❤️👵🏼
Yesss agree x
Wooow. Thank you all 3 for the transparency and allowing space for vulnerability. It's nice that there's a space on the internet where people are for people. ❤
Ren: "I don't know what stones is in kilos."
Americans:
1 stone is ~14 lbs. According to my Brit friends.
At the 1:37:23 mark... What he says is beautiful and unique in the industry. "If I really believe in this person, how can I make them shine the most."
How great of a life would it be?
Bravo

This is , by far, the best, most relaxed and free flowing interview Ren has done yet. What an amazing couple of hours. FUQ boys aint just made for reactions but interviews are carried out with class like they have been doing it for years. Keep up the good work.
The interview was epic. Then Sam came on…..it then became legendary. Having ADHD myself I was almost close to tears. Well done 40 year old BOYZ! ❤
My favourite part was from around 59:20 when the talk got into SM and the juxtaposition between good and bad. Gosh, it’s so true. One of the most truthful and awareness conversations I’ve watched on UA-cam. PL&H my friends.
Totally agree 100%
I'm not usually one to be inspired to listen to 2 hours of interview with artists. It had me hooked like the best of Rogan.
I'm really excited to say that I enjoyed all of it, especially when you diverted from music to humanity, communism, social media and the complexity of our society etc...
Ren's outlook is fantastic; broad minded and very deeply thought through. What a humble and empathetic man!
Loved the sayings and occasional use of slang. I heard words I never expected (eg. Homeostasis)
"We've just made it really complicated because we are complicated people." Is my favourite statement.
This was the best interview yet. It was like being a fly on the wall watching friends shoot the shit.
The best Ren interview! All my questions answered. Seriously well done BP and Don! ❤
Ren and Sam, 💐💐. Well deserved. Edit: Loved hearing your thoughts, and keeping our fingers crossed that the Netflix ppl open their eyes to what you are about to create. If not... you'll just have to make your own company that will do it🙃
Yeah it was great hearing BP and Dom's stories too - thanks for sharing that part of yourselves guys
It's hard for me to find the time and patience to watch a 2 hr interview. I watched the entire thing and could have kept watching. I'm 52, a big fan of all you young men. I do not take conversation for granted, especially conversations with intelligence and substance. Great interview
Ren is just such an awesome human being, so kind, so humble and so talented
Thank you!🙏
Phenomenal interview P and Don! Love you guys 🖤 Gotta love Ren! 😄
Great interview! Love that you had Sam included at the end with Ren. Their creative enthusiasm together was so apparent. ❤

What a fantastic interview/video. Loved it! Thank you for all you've done to introduce Ren to the world. And it was phenomenal to meet Sam!
What is not to love about Ren?! He’s an outstanding human. Great interview guys!
That was awesome when Sam came in. They're such good friends. Sam was even moving the mic for him after he had finished speaking, so you guys could hear him properly. So nice to see such an awesome interview, and then top it off with such a nice friend/man/myth/legend Sam coming in to the mix too ❤
I hope you caught those artists he dropped when talking about busking:
Tasha Sultana, and AnnenMayKantereit. You have to check them out. Sultana is a Jedi level looper, singer, and multi-instrumentalist and Henning May's voice is epic.
Oh yeah that diner cover he did has been making the rounds! Such a unique voice
I pray for all of you in your recovery 🙏🏽 journeys

What a beautiful, wise, brave and thoughtful person. Wonderful interview. Healing thoughts to your daughter and to Ren himself. True soldiers. ❤
Freakin awesome conversation guys! What a genuine human Ren is and shout out to Sam as well! Thank you guys! 💚
It really stood out to me ❤
Anyway, thanks to you both, to Ren and to Sam for an amazing interview, I absolutely loved it and hope you can do it again 🫶
With each time I hear Ren speak in interviews I feel like I learn more in say 60mins than I did my entire time in school.. so intelligent and well spoken.. amazing interview best one I’ve seen yet
This was my favorite "Ren a view" yet! But I've learned so much from all of them. Thank you for doing this. Big Love ❤️
My heard melted when he said Jeff Buckley... Jeff is my Elvis...
You're not alone
Great interview. Thoughtful, intelligent, and respectful. ❤️🙏❤️
What a wonderful conversation! Thank you all for doing this!
Thanks
It was great to listen in depth about the musical process.
Down to eating pub food!
Brilliant interview, and especially both of you sharing your personal stories about stem cells and Lyme disease. So authentic and so touching.
what an excellent interview, watched every minute.
Hey BP & DJ, you both did a wonderful job with the interview. The conversation with Ren flowed effortlessly. It was great to know him a little better.
Truly love your content! I discovered Harry Mack through you! And all of your guests are amazing. I subscribe to them all now and love their content too. And your daughter is my four-year-old niece's fave!!
Thank you so much for your support! I appreciate you so much
Although I want to keep Ren all to myself, he NEEDS to blow up. I have a feeling his next hip hop album and the one after are going to absolutely explode. Ren, are you even ready??!!
Best interview with Ren I’ve seen yet. This was so fun. Three beautiful human beings having a candid conversation. Refreshing. Love spreads.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Glad that you enjoyed it!
@@Donjuanabe Thank you man. honestly thank you all. It was honestly the best of these interviews ive watched.
Great interview, I was really surprised. He only talks to his parents every couple of months. I guess everyone has a different dynamic. Just figured they would be closer.
Mushy peas, fish and chips.. CANNOT BEAT IT 😂 great interview, havd a lot to say, ill keep it to myself, Such an enjoyable interview. 🔥❤
