💁♀️ HI I'M MELISSA MARIBEL
I help students pass Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I used to struggle with this subject, so when I finally graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, I became a tutor so that you wouldn't have to struggle like I did. I know that with the right help, YOU CAN LEARN ANYTHING!

As someone who is in college getting a STEM degree and who also plans on teaching science in the future your videos are beyond helpful for reviewing basic chemistry. Your specific knack for visual learning has been essential for me when I was taking my first chemistry class in college. When everything seems to move so quickly in college, I am grateful I can slow down and focus on the essential lessons with your videos. The detailed notes that you sell were the envy of all my classmates. I even refer my peers who I help tutor to watch your videos. I use your style of teaching to help myself break down complicated material in my higher STEM classes. All I can say is thank you and that you are an inspiration to me. You are the kind of teacher I hope to be in the future. Please never stop making these videos because they make a world of a difference to the students who struggle with basic chemistry concepts and who need good visuals to learn.
So you were in a college pursuing a stem degree without knowing how to balance a chemical equation? Due to online school, I am also lacking a little bit, I am in grade 12 clearing up my concepts, but damn my guy you defeated even me
@@rushiljain9423 That's crazy 😭😭😭
Thank you for going over everything and explaining everything. Most people go straight into solving the problem and I end up not knowing what I'm doing. ❤
My favorite part of the video is when you say you didn't know what you were doing in chemistry either and to just keep going :) I have watched this video a few times because that is very encouraging to me when I am feeling down, Thank you Melissa!
OMG! I wanted to cry when she said, "Don't quit!" ❤I certainly am trying. 🥲Thank you for posting this video because it did help me. 🤓
I was so nervous reading the question lol
I didn't even notice you were nervous, you did great 😊
Why am I just finding out about you now?
I was having so much trouble in chem 1 in college especially being online and no teacher help and my teacher has a very thick accent so it is hard to understand, but your videos hav saved me from so many breakdowns, thank you!! I just found your videos last night and now I'm teaching myself the material I didn't understand!!!

You are a better teacher in 7 minutes than my chem teacher in weeks
THANK YOU AGAIN :)
Hi Melissa, I have an urgent question. I’m going to take online test and the questions are like essay questions and I have to memorize concepts, what method you think I can apply to remember everything?
Thanks sis. This is the only problem that I faced 😎😎......u make it very easy 😍😍........ thanks 😍😍 😍 upload another video 😎 😎 soooooon.....
Omg thank you! This makes so much sense now
Yay so happy to hear!

Thank u miss
So happy I found you new subby
Tq very much
Hello Melissa I LOVED your teaching methods? Can you also teach Physics?
Hi Mellissa ,
could you please tell me the equation , power= number of moles multiply the enthalpy came from where ????
Thanks
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
well explained in just a short minutes! ...btw..what course in college have you taken?
can i tell me why you put the 2 in front of sulfur trioxide is it because it even no
I would like to know how to determine if the products are solid or (aq) 🙏
Is there a table for how many atoms are in an elements ? Pls reply
Okay but what happens when the equation doesn’t tell me the state of matter? How do I know? Is there an easier way to tell, rather than just memorizing what everything is going to be? Because that is too much for my brain. Help
I want different types of chemical bonds in your next video
1:15 What I'm confused about is how you learn that. Is there a list or a video somewhere where I can find these prefixes? Specifically why would "di" tell you its covalent?
Mono 1
Di 2
Tri 3
Tetra 4
Penta 5
Hexa 6
Hepta 7
Octo 8
Nona 9
Deca 10
Madam, Please can You tell me which software do you use of this tutorial?
Please help me answer this question...
To make a bread rise, baking soda is heated to create carbon dioxide.
how about ammonium plus heat? what can be the possible products.
Hi, I've only have one question. Your videos are primary made for pupils in high school? I am asking, because I am not native english speaker (I am from small country in eastern europe) and I want to know if chemistry education in my country is in the same level as level that your videos are making for.
Thanks.
P.S. Sorry for my gramatic mistakes (if I have it there) and I hope that you will understand what i mean. Have a nice day.😁
My videos are for any grade it just depends on what you’re learning. Sometimes what you learn in high school you repeat in college so don’t focus on the level focus on the topic you are learning and find a video for it. Good luck!
Someone please tell me um how can we know in some questions what has two in it becoz like as she said its o2😊
This is easy for me. The things I don't under stand is what if they don't have matching letters on each side for example *CO2 --> CaCO3 + HCl* How do I balance if there's no Ca on the left, please help 🆘
My chemistry professor was telling me in the beginning of the class maybe I need to drop this class, now I’m ahead of the whole class lol
Could you possibly do a video on skeleton equations? I can balance equations great but I don’t understand how to write skeleton equations
What should be chemical equations of
Carbon disulphide burns in air to give carbon dioxide and Sulphur dioxide
What will be it balance chemical equations
Helpful, but how do you find like oxygen is not O but O2? I am completely confused now.
im so hapy
Can’t find the link
Heyy chemistry tutor
But how do you turn balanced equations back to word equations? I'm struggling with the coefficients I added, the 2 in the beginning
If u have and an equation like :
Mg + 2HCl gives rise to MgCl2 + H2
We should write like 1 mole of magnesium reacts with 2 moles of hydrochloric acid to give 1 mole of magnesium chloride and 1 mole of hydrogen
Note : it is not necessary to specify how many moles unless asked
exam in one hour!!!! wish me luck
why does it matter if it is IONIC OR COVALENT for this?
Is one-on-one tutoring still available???
reading the older comments seeing that so many UNI and college students are in here makes me wonder why im doing chem freshman year 😅
highschool*
Okay but can you help me with mine? because my teacher said that some of the gases react with themselves, like chlorine the problem I’m struggling with is “Aluminum metal reacts with copper(2) chloride to produce aluminum chloride and copper metal” so would chloride be c2
Gases are written as O2 or Cl2 etc when it says chlorine gas, or oxygen gas, not when it is after a metals name. When 2 names of elements are placed together that is a compound. Copper(II) chloride is a compound same goes for aluminum chloride so no it is not Cl2. I highly recommend going over naming compounds and writing chemical formulas first because that's where I see the problem is. Watch this short playlist first then this question will make more sense:
Naming Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLytGGifnD9dUvKu7wvEZG5t2gWk7QhM6l.html
Melissa Maribel okay, so what you are say is that since it is together as an ionic compound copper chloride would just be written as cucl and you don't have to balance the charges with each other since copper has a charge of 2 and cl has a charge of -1, is my equation balanced then?
You always have to balance the charges of ionic compounds meaning the charges need to be the same number just opposite signs. This video shows you how to do this: ua-cam.com/video/nijb6UMvZuE/v-deo.html
if they do not give the states, how are we supposed to identify the type of state?
A solubility table helps with this: ua-cam.com/video/KOrq5i0rXUA/v-deo.html
sure you explain and l understand you better
what if there is a number in the problem
You make khan academy look like a amateur. Your videos are fun at least!
